    This study aims to determine the effect of the principal leadership and the teacher's Attitude toward job satisfaction in MA Palapa Nusantara NW Selebung. Leadership is the ability of a school principal in influence and mobilize subordinates in an organization or school institutions in order to achieve school goals. Attitude of teachers to work is a teacher's tendency to respond his pleasure or displeasure to his job. Teacher's job satisfaction is a delightful emotional state that is owned by teacher. The data obtained from the School is analyzed using SPSS in phases: Preparation, Test and SPSS Analysis. Through the research can be concluded that there is a relationship between the principal leadership and teacher's performance with job satisfaction

    Bagi televisi, apapun acara yang ditayangkannya, mesti punya nilai ekonomi, mampu memberi limpahan keuntungan bagi Perusahaan televisi itu. Sampai batas tertentu motif mencari untung itu tentu wajar. Karena televisi, seperti Perusahaan lain, juga perlu membiayai kegiatankegiatannya, menggaji pegawai, dan sebagainya. Tapi saat kepentingan ekonomi ini amat dominan dan melumat aspek-aspek lain yang tak kalah penting, terutama yang menyangkut kepentingan masyarakat luas, banyak masalah kemudian muncul. Dalam tayangan reality shows mengenai kemiskinan atau kehidupan orang-orang miskin, misalnya, kerap terjadi pengabaian terhadap hak-hak orang miskin yang ditayangkan serta penyajian realitas kemiskinan yang bias dan parsial yang berpotensi memberi pemahaman tentang kemiskinan yang menyimpang bahkan salah bagi masyarakat.     : Strategy Recruitment of Indonesian Migrant Workers Abroad in Surabaya. Problems of Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) is still a lot going on, one of which is sending TKI illegally. Recruitment strategy has an important role in preparing for sending workers abroad. This research uses descriptive research with qualitative approach, focusing on how the recruitment strategy of TKI that performed by Technical Services Unit for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (UPT P3TKI) of Surabaya. Workers abroad recruitment strategies conducted by UPT P3TKI Surabaya, are Indonesian Migrant Workers placement program between the government (Government to Government) to South Korean, program placement and protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PPTKLN) socialization, technical guidance (BIMTEK) by interagency intergovernmental working (AKAN) officers. Suggestions to UPT P3TKI Surabaya, to open branches of the UPT P3TKI to districts in East Java to simplify and expedite the deployment process of TKI abroad

    Education is one of culture process, there for education is can't be separated from culture and society. Integrating art and cultural values in education, especially Islamic education, will support the education goal in building student's personality, i.e.students who are independent, self confidence and possess inner brilliance. Through the experience in appreciating art works and cultural celebration, for example, it is expected that the student will sharpen their feelings and strengthen their personalities. Especially for teachers, they need the art values and tricks to manage their class and presentation, cause teaching is art. On the other hand, Islamic education plays the most important role in enlightening and revitalizing Islamic cultural values which will build up Islamic civilization in the future. Through Islamic education the students can be persuaded that on their hands the future of Islamic art and culture. More over, from Islamic education the lack and art/culture crisis will be solved by Islamic and spiritual values involvement in creating art and culture work

    Dengue virus infection can show variation of clinical spectrum from mild degree to severe degree. Mild dengue virus infection cause asymptom or fever without unclear causal factor through are followed by dengue fever, dengue haemorrhagic fever and dengue shock syndrome. Dengue virus infection is an endemic and make potentially outbreaks in all around the world, included in Semarang. Risk factors that influenced on dengue infection, such as host, agent and environment. Host factor consists of gender, nutritional status and age. Role of environment as disease reservoir that Aedes aegypti larvae and mosquitos population depend on existence of places their appropriate habitat. The objective of this study is to analyze environmental factor that influences on occurence of dengue virus infection. This is a case control study using 54 cases and 54 controls. Case is appeared by Immunoglobulin G (+) and control is appeared by Immunoglobulin G (-). Risk factors included in this study were physical environment, non physical environment and intrinsic factor. Multiple logistic regression was used to analyze the data. Risk factors of dengue virus infection in Semarang City were low nutritional status, the existence of larvae in the water container and the interval of cleaning water container more than 7 days

    Analyzing Volatility of Rice Price in Indonesia Using ARCH/GARCH Model

    This research aims to to analyze and to study the implication of the volatility of deflated retail price of rice in out of Java which are represented by three markets in Indonesia, namely Medan, Makassar, and Banjarmasin. The period of observation is from January 1984 to August 2011. The better model in this study is Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH). The result of the study shows that the change of rice price in all three markets was caused mainly by seasons and yearly routine cycles. In addition, at the reformation era and at economic crisis, the rice prices were more volatile

    This research is aimed at acknowledging the effectiveness of utilizing elementary school Islamic Religion Education Textbooks in Balikpapan City. The focus of this research in the availability and utilization of as well as the problems faced in relation to the books. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data Collection was performed though interviews and observations. The collected data were then sorted based on research focus category for further in-depth analysis. The research results show that in Balikpapan city, the optimization of the utilization of Islamic Religion Education Books in Elementary Schools highly depends on the availability of compulsory and auxiliary books as the manifestation of the policies issued by the entire education apparatus, starting from stakeholders, education components, as well as public support. Curriculum selection also greatly affects the book utilization process. Because, in fact, the 2013 curriculum book distribution is not yet maximum. There is even a school deciding to return to the Education Unit Level Curriculum due to textbook availability, whereas the schools concerned is one of the pilot schools for the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Balikpapan City. The aspect of supervision on distribution also becomes important in the context of supporting the achievement of the Islam religion education objective through the requirement-based book availability. However, in general, teachers and parents' initiatives greatly support the maximization of the utilization of books as learning sources in Balikpapan City

    A Study of Teachers and Students' Code Switching in Efl Classrooms Setting

    This study aims to investigates a phenomenon of bilingualism in which the use of Target language (English) is switched to target Indonesia, known as code switching (CS). More specifically, the study focuses on the types of CS and the functions of CS in EFL classrooms setting. The data were obtained from classroom observations through audio recording and field notes from two different English classes. The finding reveals that both the teachers and the students employed three types of CS: inter-sentential, tag-switching, and inter-sentential switching in different contexts. Furthermore, the different frequency of CS functions employed by teachers and students' occurs both in two classes for two reasons: for social and pedagogical functions. Socially, CS in this study served as (1) conveying teacher's admonition, (2) requesting for help, (3) helping other students, (4) commenting on the students' unsatisfactory answers, and (5) building unofficial interaction among the students. Pedagogically, CS served to (1) explain or repeat ununderstandable utterances which has been said previously in order to help students understand it, (2) check the students' understanding to the new words or expression introduced in the lesson, (3) translate sentence when students learn about grammatical features (4) repair self mistakes, (5) clarify teachers' misunderstanding, and (6) initiate a question
