    Keefektifan Pendekatan Inquiry Based Learning untuk Peningkatan Karakter Siswa SMA pada Pembelajaran Fisika

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pendekatan inquiry based learning untuk meningkatkan karakter disiplin, kreatif, percaya diri, dan kerja sama siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X dan kelas XI jurusan IPA di SMA Negeri 1 Godean dan SMA Negeri 1 Ngaglik. Teknik pengambilan sampel di SMA Negeri 1 Godean dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, sedangkan di SMA Negeri 1 Ngaglik dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket untuk setiap karakter. Angket yang digunakan bersifat tertutup. Pengukuran didasarkan pada skor yang diperoleh siswa berdasarkan isian angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan standard gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan inquiry based learning lebih efektif daripada pendekatan konvensional untuk meningkatkan karakter disiplin, kreatif, percaya diri, dan kerjasama siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika

    PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TGT MELALUI TEKNIK BERMAIN GUNA MENINGKATKAN MINAT DAN HASIL BELAJAR FISIKA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS X SMA N 1 PUNDONG

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) menentukan langkah-langkah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) melalui teknik bermain yang paling efektif untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar kognitif, 2) meningkatkan minat belajar fisika peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 SMA N 1 Pundong, dan 3) meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 SMA N 1 Pundong dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) melalui teknik bermain. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Reasearch) dengan subjek penelitian peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 di SMA N 1 Pundong yang berjumlah 32 peserta didik. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, dan angket. Instrumen berupa lembar soal evaluasi, lembar observasi, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif secara persentase. Indikator keberhasilan penelitian ini ditandai dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar fisika peserta didik yakni 75% dari jumlah siswa yang mengikuti proses pembelajaran telah memenuhi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yaitu 6,5. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar fisika peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 di SMA N 1 Pundong dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) melalui teknik bermain. Setelah dilakukan tindakan siklus I, peserta didik yang mencapai ketuntasan 15 siswa (50%) dan belum tuntas 15 siswa (50%). Setelah dilakukan tindakan siklus II, peserta didik yang mencapai KKM sebanyak 25 (93%) dan belum tuntas 2 siswa (7%). Siklus III, sebanyak 25 peserta didik (92,6%) mencapai KKM dan 2 peserta didik (7,4%) belum mencapai KKM. Penurunan terjadi karena jumlah soal pada siklus III lebih sedikit sehingga persentase menjawab salah menjadi lebih besar

    Membangun Karakter Melalui Pembelajaran Sains

    : The teaching and learning of science can be used as a means of developing the cognitive, affective, and psychomotoric abilities. Science should be learned in ways which enable students to apply their abilities with character in solving problems of every day life. There are still many cases indicating the low character of the Indonesian people. Ethics is a value system having the same meaning as morality. The development of character education should follow the steps of introducing values cognitively, understanding and internalizing the values affectively, the formation of determination conatively, and finally the implementation of the values in real life. Teachers of science should provide the students with ample opportunities to think and use their reasoning ability. Students can do it by being directly involved in various activities such as classroom discussions, problem solving, or experimenting. They should not only be made passive objects with the load of memorizing various concepts and science formulas

    PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA BERBASIS PROBLEM BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI DAN MENUMBUHKAN MINAT BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK SMA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan produk perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran, (2) mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan penguasaan materi peserta didik setelah menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan, dan (3) mengetahui besar pencapaian minat belajar peserta didik SMA setelah menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan model 4-D. Tahap define merupakan tahap awal untuk mendefinisikan permasalahan. Tahap design berupa pengumpulan referensi, penentuan format, dan pembuatan rancangan awal perangkat pembelajaran yang akan dikembangkan. Tahap develope melipui validasi, revisi, uji coba terbatas, dan uji coba luas. Tahap disseminate berupa penyebarluasan produk akhir perangkat pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 dan X MIPA 2 SMA N 1 Minggir. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Perangkat pembelajaran Usaha dan Energi berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan prestasi dan minat belajar peserta didik dengan perolehan skor RPP dan LKPD ialah 4,67 dan 4,72 yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik., (2) Perangkat pembelajaran Usaha dan Energi berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) efektif digunakan ditinjau dari peningkatan prestasi belajar peserta didik dengan nilai standart gain sedang yaitu 0,47, (3) Pembelajaran Usaha dan Energi berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) efektif digunakan ditinjau dari peningkatan minat belajar peserta didik dengan nilai standart gain sedang yaitu 0, 31.     The iSpring learning media integrated with the KWL learning model: Impact on Students' self-directed learning in momentum and impulse

    In this pandemic era, learning style transformation required students to change their learning style to self-directed learning. However, a lack of student initiation led to sub-optimality of education, particularly for some materials such as momentum and impulse, which are classified as complex concepts in physics. This study aimed to examine the impact of iSpring learning media in conjunction with the Know-Want-Learn (KWL) learning model on students' self-directed learning. The data analysis used in this study was an independent t-test to analyze the difference in self-directed learning between students in the control and experiment groups. Furthermore, this study was intended to investigate students' self-directed learning during the implementation of iSpring learning media integrated with the KWL learning model. This study included 31 students divided into the control group and the experiment group, which was chosen using purposive sampling. The difference in students' learning independence between the control and experiment groups was examined using a post-test-only research design. Students in the experimental group demonstrated greater learning independence than students in the control group, which did not use the iSpring integrated with the KWL learning model. This result also implies that after implementing iSpring as the learning media integrated with KWL as the learning model, students' self-directed learning differed in the experiment and control groups

    DEVELOPING STUDENTS ā€ŸSELF-ASSESSMENT AND STUDENTSā€Ÿ PEERASSESSMENT OF THE SUBJECT-MATTER COMPETENCY OF PHYSICS EDUCATION STUDENTS

    This study is aimed at developing Studentsā€˜ Self-Assessment (SSA) and Studentsā€˜ Peer-Assessment (SPA) as a supplementary of the formative assessment on Physics teaching and learning, finding out the construct of SSA and SPA and finding out the effectiveness and the usefulness of SSA and SPA. The development procedure consists of two stages: development and validation. It is based on the spiral model from Cennamo and Kalk, with five phases: defining, designing, demonstrating, developing and delivering. Content validity expert judgment was measured through coefficient validity analysis from Aiken. Construct of cognitive domain was derived from learning continuum and had been validated by a focus group discussion and Delphi technique. The subjects of this study are sixth semester students of Physics Education of the University of Palangka Raya. The result of the study can be concluded as follows: 1) SSA and SPA can be used as a supplementary of the formative assessment, 2) the result of model fit, in which the GFI value is 0.996 and the SRMR value is 0.062, may be taken to indicate good fit, so developed theoretical model is supported by empirical data, 3) the group of SSA and SPA are more effective than group of non-SSA and SPA, besides students response declares SSA and SPA are reasonably effective and 4) the usefulness shows that SSA and SPA can be used as a feedback of the process and the results of the studentsā€˜ learning. Therefore, the results of the feedback are used to improve the learning process and the results of learning continuously

    KEMAMPUAN MAHASISWA MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN ANALITIS KUANTITATIF DALAM PEMECAHAN SOAL FISIKA

    The aims of this research are getting a description about the student's ability in using quantitative analytical approach and any kinds of mistakes in solving physics problems. The population of this research is the students who are taking an examination for Basic Physics courses at FMIPA UNY on semester January-June and July-December 2001. There are 100 studenty selected at random as samples. The data collecting method is an essay test that was used for Basic Physics courses examination. The student's ability in using quantitative analytical approach and the mistakes made in solving on the test are identified through answer sheets. Based on the findings of this research, it wasfound that most of the students (almost 60%) of FMIPA UNY has a poorabiliry in using quantitative analytical approach. Their ability on problem analysis generally is not good and some mistakes made are as consequence the lack of their physics knowledge

    REASONING-BASED DIAGNOSTIC TEST TO IDENTIFY LEARNING DIFFICULTIES AND MISCONCEPTIONS OF WORK AND ENERGY AMONG SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

    This study was designed to identify physics learning difficulties and misconceptions of work and energy among senior high school students. It was conducted by administering a set of reasoning-based diagnostic test to a group of senior high school students. The test consists of 35 multiple choice problems with space to write down the reasons and confidence level (%) of student in resolving the problem. The results were analyzed by the lost of the learning continuum and hierarchy of matter prerequisite, as well as reasoning used and confidence level (%) of student in resolving the problem to identify learning difficulties and misconceptions. The findings revealed that most of the students who were the subject of this study are: (1) experiencing learning difficulties, either in understanding of certain physics concepts as well as the application of mathematics concepts to resolving physics problems. (2) having misconceptions about some concepts of physics, especially those that have a relationship very closely, both functionally and the similarity of the term
