Peningkatan Minat Belajar Dan Pemahaman Mahasiswa Melalui Penerapan Problem-based Learning
This study was aimed at finding out the effects of problem-based learning (PBL) method to increase the students\u27 learning interests and achievement in advanced statistics. The study was conducted by classroom action research in two cycles. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Findings showed that the implementation of the PBL method was able to increase the students\u27 learning interests both inside and outside the class. By way of case analysis tasks, students showed great participation in the teaching learning process. The PBL method also increased the students\u27 achievement. The students showed great understanding of the concepts and application of advanced statistics
Meningkatkan Profesionalisme Guru: sebuah Harapan
The teacher professionalism had to be improved because the teacher had the important roles to improve human resources quality. The several efforts can be done by the teacher is understanding the minimum standard of the profession, completing the teacher qualifications and competencies, creating the good partnership, improving the service-based working, and improving the creativity in use the very latest information and communication technologies. The improving of the teacher welfare supported the several efforts to improve the teacher professionalism
Digital data transmission over mobile radio channels
The aim of this work is to study data transmission over a microwave
digital mobile radio channel at 900 MHz, where the channel is subjected
to multipath fading. Besides the fading, the other impairments assumed
here are additive noise, co-channel interference and adjacent channel
interference. Two modulation techniques are investigated in this work,
namely Quadrature-Amplitude-Modulation (QAM) and Quadrature-Phase-Shift-
Keying (QPSK). The channel is characterised digitally, assuming multipath
Rayleigh fading in the presence of noise. The detection process
studied here are near-maximum likelihood schemes: non-linear equalisation
methods are also considered in detail.
The thesis is also concerned with carrier synchronisation and channel
estimation under conditions of Rayleigh fading. Since the carrier
syncn,honisation is a most important requirement in mobile radio, a
Digital Phase Locked Loop (DPLL) technique has been designed and investigated
in the form of a feedback digital synchronisation system. Two
types of channel estimation technique, namely feedforward and feedback
estimators, are also investigated in this work. The feedback estimator
is modified by the addition of a digital control system, in order to
reduce its delay, and to cope with rapidly fading signals. Successful
carrier synchronisation is demonstrated by the use of space diversity.
The study was completed using models of the component parts of the system,
and by the use of extensive computer simulations to analyse the system
under various operating conditions
Pengembangan Software Analisis Butir Soal Yang Praktis Dan Aplikatif
: Developing a More Practical and Applicable Item-Analysis Software. This study was aimed to develop item-analysis software, verify its feasibility, and identify the possible problems in using it, employing such research instruments as documentation, questionnaires, and interview guidelines to collect data. The result showed that the product was found to be more practical and applicable for classroom teachers, more specifically in the aspects of practicality and simplicity, usefulness, the subĀstance, and the appearance. This study also revealed the challenges in the utilization of the product: Teachers appear to have little knowledge and skill in using Microsoft Excel program, analyzing items, and handling technical constraints
Kelayakan Anbuso sebagai Software Analisis Butir Soal Bagi Guru
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kelayakan dan mengidentiļ¬ kasi kendala yang dihadapidalam menggunakan software AnBuso. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D. Data dikumpulkanmelalui dokumentasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Penelitian inimenghasilkan produk berupa software AnBuso yang dapat dimanfaatkan guru dalam melakukananalisis butir soal secara praktis dan aplikatif. Aspek yang dinilai sangat layak adalah kepraktisan dankemudahan, substansi isi, dan kebermanfaatan. Aspek yang dinilai layak adalah tampilan. Kendalayang dihadapi dalam menggunakan software adalah penguasaan guru terhadap program MicrosoftExcel masih kurang. Guru juga kurang terbiasa melakukan analisis butir soal karena pemahamanterhadap konsep analisis butir soal yang masih terbata
Improving PBL in Empowering Meta cognitive Skill of Students
Abstract
Objective: Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a potential constructivist learning strategy that empowers studentsā Meta cognitive skill. PBL focuses on problem, involves thinking activity to solve problems, and correlates to cognitive function of students. Methods: The implementation of PBL reveals various benefits, but there are also some weaknesses in this learning strategy. Thus, it is necessary to implement a certain learning strategy that can cover the PBL weaknesses, such as Reading, Questioning, and Answering (RQA) learning strategy. RQA is a new learning strategy developed based on a fact that almost all students do not read the next lecture materials, causing failure of learning strategy planned and finally the studentsā comprehension becomes low. RQA is also potential to empower studentsā Meta cognitive skill. Findings: The integration of RQA and PBL learning strategy is called PBL-RQA learning strategy. This study was a quasi-experimental
study designed to compare the effect of PBL, RQA, and PBL-RQA learning strategies on the studentsā Meta cognitive skill of Faculty of Mathematics and Science, State University of Makassar. Application: The results of the study showed that the potency of PBL learning strategy in empowering the studentsā Meta cognitive skill has been increased by integrating it to RQA learning strategy. The meta cognitive skill mean score of the students taught by PBL-RQA learning strategy was 21% higher than that of the students taught by PBL and 26.9% higher than that of the students taught by RQA learning strategy.
