Positive Impact on Form Design of Noisy Product to User Responses

    Get PDF
This project shares the output of how the positive impact on form design is discovered through the noisy product user’s response. The method began by using the images combination between the vacuum cleaner and vacum cleaner noise, where the data was collected from vacuum cleaner users in Shah Alam residential area. The findings revealed that a vacuum cleaner with an attractive form design can lessen the user's unfavorable reaction to its noise. However, the user must be familiar with the product since they have used it previously. Keywords: Formgiving Design; Noisy Product, User Responses eISSN: 2398-4287© 2022. The Authors. This research on the participation of industrial design students’ experiences in 3D printing and 3D modelling demonstrates that they are successful in fully utilising additive manufacturing in the design process and as a final fabrication method in the product design area. The project begins with the literature review, prototyping tests, and students' participation in 3D modelling in the specific subject of industrial design. The outcome shared a guideline for how to use Rapid Prototyping (RP) 3D Printers in the model-making and prototyping processes. The result was an example of a design project practice that was made by modelling and then printed with 3D printing.  Keywords: 3D Printing, Product Design, Fused Deposition Modeling eISSN: 2398-4287© 2022. Fostering Intercultural Awareness Via Short Stories - Reconnoitering Student Perspective

    No full text
Understanding people from other cultures is crucial in today's globalised society since it can help to foster peace on the planet. The need to show respect for people from different origins is more important than ever with the emergence of the borderless world brought about by the usage of the internet and various social media. Teaching pertinent intercultural subjects in ESL classes is one strategy to enhance this intercultural awareness. Literature has also generally been seen as a source of wisdom and lessons for living that might help language learners. Hence, this paper presents the results of a preliminary investigation into the opinions of university students about the use of short stories to foster multicultural awareness in ESL classes. A survey using a questionnaire was used to get the students' opinions on learning about other cultures. The results are described in order to determine how these college students feel that reading short stories can improve intercultural understanding. Finally, appropriate conclusions and recommendations are made regarding the need for additional methods of promoting multicultural awareness in ESL classrooms

Public transportation is a shared passenger transport service provided to transit people which is available for public usage. Public transport also is one of the solution to the sustainability system. Environmental issues become the main topic on these days and one of the causes is emission from a vehicle. The purpose of this study is to understand the principles, problems. and approaches of discipline on sustainability in public transportation. The objectives of the research are to identify what is sustainability transportation impacts on environmental, to analyses the importance of public transport in terms of sustamabihty. and to determine the existing approaches from different discipline for attract people to use public transport. The qualitative interview was used to get primary data and data collection as a secondary data used for gather the information from journals. articles, news, and website. The research is focused on bus and scope at Lembah valley area in Malaysia. The research have found the opportunity of using public transport that become major role in sustainability system in Malaysia
