Technical analysis has been one of the most popular methods for stock market predictions for the past few decades. There have been enormous technical analysis methods to study the behavior of stock market for different kinds of trading markets such as currency, commodity or stock. In this paper, we propose two different methods based on volume adjusted moving average and ease of movement for stock trading. These methods are used with and without generalized regression neural network methods and the results are compared with each other. The preliminary results on historical stock price of 20 firms indicate that there is no meaningful difference between various proposed models of this paper

Objective: Mothers with low birth weight infants experience more stress, which results in reduced breastfeeding self-efficacy and exclusive breastfeeding; In this regard, stress Inoculation Training (SIT) is one of the effective ways for inoculation against stress and psychological distress; Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effect of SIT on breastfeeding self-efficacy and perceived stress of mothers with low birth weight infants. Materials and methods: This clinical trial study was conducted from October to December 2017 on 100 mothers with low birth weight infants; the infants had been hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in Kermanshah, Iran. The eligible mothers were randomly divided into two groups, i.e., intervention (n = 50) and control (n = 50) groups. Results: The mean score of breastfeeding self-efficacy, before SIT (33.82 ± 8.92) compared to after SIT (42.02 ± 8.83), significantly increased (p 0.05). The mean score of perceived stress was significantly reduced after SIT (26.29 ± 6.49) compared to values before SIT (31.25 ± 5.82) (p < 0.001). Conclusion: The present study showed that on the one hand, SIT can effectively increase the breastfeeding self-efficacy in mothers with low birth weight infants; on the other hand, it can reduce their perceived stress. Therefore, the need for holding in-service training courses is felt in order to train the caregiving personnel, especially nurses, in applying the SIT technique

Regarding the scarcity of appropriate recorded earthquakes, and the ever-increasing use of dynamic time history analyses for more accurate calculation of structures response, the simulation of artificially produced records necessary. In this study, accelerograms are simulated from the response or design spectrum by using generalized regression neural networks. In the training phase the response spectrum is used as the input for the simulating network, and the corresponding accelerogram as the output. Accelerograms achieved from some recorded earthquakes of Iran are used for training the neural network. The appropriate accuracy, and high speed of training are the properties of the network. After training the network, accelerogram corresponding to the design spectrum of Iranian code of practice for seismic resistance design of buildings is generated. Similar procedures can be carried out for design spectrum of other cods to achieve the corresponding records

Risk-Based Optimal Operation of Coordinated Natural Gas and Reconfigurable Electrical Networks with Integrated Energy Hubs

Abstract This paper elaborates on optimal scheduling of coordinated power and natural gas (NG) networks in the presence of interconnected energy hubs considering reconfiguration as a flexibility source. With regard to the energy hub system consisting of several generation units, storage and conversion technologies, as well as natural gas‐fired units, the high interdependency between gas and electricity carriers should be captured. The hourly reconfiguration capability is developed for the first time in a multi‐energy system to enhance the optimal power dispatch and gas consumption pattern. The realistic interdependency of electrical and NG grids is investigated by employing the steady‐state Weymouth equation and AC‐power flow model for power and gas networks, respectively. Furthermore, to handle the risk associated with strong uncertainty of wind power, load, and real‐time power price, the conditional value at risk approach is employed. The proposed model is implemented on the integrated test system and simulation results are presented for different cases. The impact of the risk aversion level on operating cost and optimal scheduling of controllable units is examined. Numerical results demonstrate that reconfigurable capability reduces the operational cost up to 7.82%

The relationship between air pollution exposure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in Ahvaz, Iran

BACKGROUND: Air pollutants can have harmful effects on human health. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is represented by a spectrum of obstructive airway diseases. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between air pollution exposure and COPD in Ahvaz, Iran. METHODS: The present epidemiological study was performed in Ahvaz city. Data were obtained from the Ahvaz Department of Environment (ADoE). Sampling was performed for 24 hours in 4 stations. Raw data processing was performed using Microsoft Excel software, and after the impact of meteorological parameters, data were converted as input file into the model. Data analysis was performed using SPSS for Windows. RESULTS: The results of this study showed that the annual average PM10 concentration during 2012 was 727 μg/m3. According to the research findings, the two stations of Bureau of Meteorology and the city center had the highest and the lowest PM10 concentrations during 2012, respectively. The results showed a strong correlation between visits to a hospital due to COPD and PM10 emission in Ahvaz city. Approximately, 6.2% of hospital admissions for COPD occurred when the PM10 concentration was higher than 30 μg/m3. CONCLUSION: The findings of the present study showed that the total mean of particle matter was higher than the standard concentration. The higher percentage of hospital admission could be the result of the dust storm, higher average PM10, and sustained high concentration days in Ahva

The present study was an attempt to investigate the effect of Logotherapy with Quran recitation and prayer on severity of depressive symptoms in women with major depressive disorder. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The statistical population included all women with depressive disorder in Qom in 2017. The sample population consisted of 30 women with major depressive disorder (15 for each group) and the participants were selected on a voluntary basis. They were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The instrument used for gathering data was Beck depression Inventory. The data were analyzed using ANCOVA. In the present study, all ethical considerations were observed and the authors reported no conflict of interest. Results: In terms of severity of depressive symptoms, the mean scores for the experimental and control groups at the pretest stage were 35.80 and 33.60, respectively. Meanwhile, the mean scores were 19.86 for the experimental group and 32.46 for the control group. The level of depression remained unchanged in the control group but decreased in the experimental group at the post-test phase following the intervention, which was statistically significant (P<0.001).Conclusion: The findings indicate that Logotherapy along with Quran recitation and prayer is effective in reduction of the symptoms of depression in women with major depression. For downloading the full-text of this article please click here. Please cite this article as: Rafiei Mohammadi N, Jahangiri MM. Objectives: The effect of 15% carbamide peroxide bleaching gel on color stability and surface topography of a giomer and a microfilled composite resin was evaluated in the present in vitro study. Study design: Forty discs measuring 10 mm in diameter and 1 mm in thickness were prepared from a giomer and a microfilled composite resin. Each material yielded 20 discs with completely smooth surfaces. Then a spectrophotometer was used to measure L* (lightness), a* (redness, greenness) and b* (blueness, yellowness) color coordinates of all the discs. Subsequently, the specimens were subjected to 15% carbamide peroxide bleaching gel. After measuring the color coordinates once again, color changes (DE*) were calculated by the CIELAB system. Six specimens from each material (three specimens before bleaching agent application and three specimens thereafter) were viewed under an atomic force microscope (AFM) for surface topography evaluation. Data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis tests at a=0.05. Results: There were no statistically significant differences in color changes (DE*) between the two materials (P>0.05). In addition, no significant differences were detected in surface roughness between composite resin and giomer discs before and after bleaching (P>0.05 for both). However, in both materials the differences in surface roughness were significant before and after bleaching procedures (P<0.001). Conclusions: Based on the results of the present study it was concluded that 15% carbamide peroxide does not induce clinically detectable color changes in composite resin and giomer despite an increase in surface roughness
