Macroeconomics applies an overview perspective to an economy by examining economy wide variables, such as inflation, unemployment, growth of the economy, money supply and national income for developing country. This macroeconomic variable will be affect to the shares prices positively or negatively. Small bowel perforation secondary to intestinal tuberculosis in patient with chronic idiopathic myelofibrosis

Idiopathic myelofibrosis is a clonal hematopoetic stem cell disorder due to a mutation in the signaling regulator gene Janus Kinase 2 (JAK2).The condition is widely treated with Ruxolitinib which is a JAK2 inhibitor along with prednisolone. However, these treatment despite promising has been linked with the risk of opportunistic infections and reactivation of tuberculosis.We reported a patient with chronic idiopathic myelofibrosis who developed small bowel perforations secondary to flare up of gut tuberculosis. Personal, financial and job-related factors affecting Malaysian employees’ presenteeism in the service sector

In paving success of an organization, job productivity among service sector employees is crucial. High management cost may be incurred by organizations in the long run when ignoring the factors contributing to a better job productivity. The job productivity concept is represented by absenteeism and presenteeism however the focus of this study is on presenteeism which is a state of behaviour where employees are present for work regardless of their current state of physical or psychological health. Personal, financial and job-related factors are determined their potential contributions for presenteeism among Malaysian employees in the civil service sector. Concentrating on service sector due to its main contribution on Malaysia gross domestic product (GDP), a cross-sectional survey and multi-stage random sampling was conducted resulting in 470 sets of data being analysed. The outcome of the study revealed factors such as locus control, materialism, work-life balance, financial stress and health as the factors that significantly affecting presenteeism of the service sector employees. The results will enable employers to develop appropriate intervention programs in enhancing the quality of personal, financial and job-related factors of the employees. Better services are expected to be offered by civil service agencies to the public as the outcomes are beneficial for both parties that are the customers and employees. Efficient time use by various parties would be the consequences of this action thus enabling the growth in economy

Recent advances in agricultural waste-based adsorbents for the removal of pollutants in water (2017-2020)

Rapid human activities result in the increasing production of pollutants from both industrial processes and agricultural practices, which negatively impact the environment and human health. Most of chemical pollutants are discharged either intentionally or accidentally via water bodies. Therefore, various pollutants removal techniques have been developed including utilization of agricultural waste as adsorbents. Agricultural waste-based adsorbents are easily prepared, cheap and moderately to highly efficient. A good understanding of agricultural waste-based adsorbents would be beneficial for future research improvements as well as industrial applications. Thus, this review aims at shedding light on recent advancements (from year 2017-2020) in the preparation, characterizations and application of agricultural waste-based adsorbents for removal of different types of chemical pollutants in water and wastewater
