    Dye removal from sasirangan textile wastewater by using commercially available activated carbon in a batch reactor was studied. This research explores the effect of activated carbon dosing and contact time on the condition of constant pH and stirring speed toward the effectiveness of dye removal. The results showed that the effectiveness of dye removal of 20.75% - 39.16% with the optimum contact time of 60 minutes and the pattern of dye adsorption by activated carbon in this study were more likely to follow the model of Langmuir Isotherms with a maximum adsorption capacity of 29.412 mg/g

    Stroke Prediction Using Machine Learning Method with Extreme Gradient Boosting Algorithm

    Based on data obtained from WHO, stroke is a disease that ranks as the second most deadly disease. The cause of a stroke is when a blood vessel is hit or ruptured, resulting in a part of the brain not getting the blood supply that carries the oxygen it needs, leading to death. By utilizing technology in the health sciences, especially in the health sector, machine learning models can adjust and make it easier for users to predict certain diseases. Previous studies have had problems with low accuracy when used in healthcare. The purpose of this research is to increase accuracy by proposing the application of one of the ensemble learning algorithms, namely the Xtreme Gradient Boosting algorithm. This stroke prediction research uses the Xtreme Gradient Boosting Algorithm; the application of this method with split data Training data and 70/30 test data, 70% of the training data is 3582, 30% of the test data is 1536, and the results are 96% accuracy with these results having good results. This study increase accuracy in predicting stroke cases and get better accuracy than previous studies

    Pengaruh Ph Tanah Terhadap Proses Biodegradasi Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (Pah) Pada Tanah Terkontaminasi Batubara

    Batubara alami (unburnt coal) mengandung polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) dengan kadar yang tinggi dan tingkat penyebaran relatif cepat. PAH sulit didegradasi karena bersifat toksik sehingga berpotensi mengkontaminasi tanah, terutama di wilayah pertambangan batubara tetapi belum mendapatkan perhatian yang serius. Kontaminasi tersebut dapat ditangani menggunakan salah satu teknologi bioremediasi yaitu co-composting. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi proses co-composting adalah pH. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pH tanah terhadap biodegradasi PAH dalam proses co-composting dengan penambahan sampah organik. Co-composting dilakukan secara aerobik selama 98 hari dalam skala laboratorium. Variasi penelitian meliputi rasio tanah terkontaminasi PAH dengan sampah organik (100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75, dan 0/100) dan pH tanah (asam dan netral). Analisis kadar 16 EPA-PAH dilakukan menggunakan metode Gas Chromatographic Mass Spectrometric (GC-MS). Proses co-composting berlangsung dalam kondisi lingkungan yang optimal yaitu suhu mesofilik (30-31°C), pH netral (6,5-7), dan kadar air optimum (50-60%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biodegradasi PAH yang terjadi tidak dipengaruhi oleh kondisi pH tanah. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan persentase kadar PAH yang terdegradasi tidak berbeda jauh antara pH tanah awal asam dan netral di rasio T/s 25/75 yaitu 75,15% dan 76,21 %

    This research has the purpose to know the relation among age variable, stay duration, distance between house and the road, house area , material of house wall, roof, ceiling/plafond, number of inhabitant, environment condition (patron tree), noise level about noise complaint. Analytical research method with design of Cross Sectional, implemented in three political district administration, they are Tanjung Subdistrict, Agung Subdistrict, and Hikun subdistrict. The result of research refers that there are relations among stay duration, distance between house and the road, environment condition (patron tree), traffic noise level about noise complaint for people. Patron tree and traffic noise level have a big contribution toward the complaint of people, they are easy to be angry, disturb a concentration in doing something, sleepless, disturb a rest if the door is opened. Concluded that the people in along of Basuki Rahmat street, Tanjung subdistrict, Tabalong regency have noise complaint cause of traffic
