The role of financial institutions from the aspect of innovated banking products and services as the reply of banks in Serbia to the changes in the environment

    Get PDF
Numerous changes from the economic and technological environment of financial institutions have led banks into innovating their products and services in order to adequately respond to new needs, i.e. the needs of new consumers, because together with the environment their needs and preferences are changed. Banks in Serbia according to the legislative framework have the possibility to perform various tasks. In practice, banks operating in Serbia offer certain groups of products and products that are difficult to differentiate. Today, with the aim of responding to the demand of more and more self-conscious consumers, the banks use the Internet or electronic banking as a modern channel for the distribution of banking services. Keywords: financial institutions, banking sector, strategic management, innovations, consumers, services

THE IMPACT OF ADVERTISING MESSAGES ON SCHOOL CHILDREN THROUGH AGE, BRANDED PRODUCTS AND TRUST

    Get PDF
Advertising towards children confirms the importance of marketing communication, as they are important for companies that offer a range of products and services. We study the influence of advertising messages from traditional media on different children's age groups, via the observed branded products and the examined credibility of advertisements, seen through the children’s eyes. In total, 481 pupils from two primary schools, aged 9 - 12, participated in the research. We find that children over the age of ten recognise the persuasive influence of the media. Also, the findings indicate that the number of children who like to follow advertisements decreases with age. In addition, comparing the advertising message and real life can lead a child to overall dissatisfaction. An optimistic 75% of the answers favour the fact that children do not believe everything shown in the advertisement forwarded to them

A FUNCTIONAL APPROACH TO NATURAL LANGUAGE

This article does not aim to erase the border, rather vague, between natural and artificial languages, but to offer the researcher in the field of language analysis a useful tool for their logical generation and interpretation. After processing the available literature and setting the theoretical framework, a case study was conducted concerning the application of the functional approach in natural languages, and the obtained results indicate the following conclusion: The only difference between functional and natural language is that the condition of interrupting recursive calls may be external to the calling auto function in the case of natural language. Basically, once the message is understood or transmitted, it leaves the loop, this aspect being part of the communication protocol between peopl

Blockchain technology enhances sustainable higher education

This research investigates blockchain technology, focusing on the influence of motivation on collaborative work, which positively influences learning performance in Higher Education Institutions (HEI). In addition, blockchain technology is correlated with decentralisation, security and integrity, and anonymity and encryption. It can also be perceived as a consensus mechanism, rewarding students, professors, and universities as a smart contract. Therefore, this technology has been used to improve higher education. It also allows less informed people to interact with better-informed peers and mentors. Finally, this study aims to enhance the current state of blockchain applications comprehension. The methodology used for this research includes document analysis, literature review, content analysis (blockchain platforms), the case study method, and the survey method. In statistical considerations, aiming to evaluate indicators, this research presents the Composite Reliability Analysis, Cronbach Alpha Coefficients, and the Bootstrapping method (Variance Inflation Factor). All these analyses aimed to present a designed research model. This exploratory research gathered data from 150 students at 3 universities in Serbia, Romania, and Portugal. As demonstrated, using student motivation has a significant and positive impact on the quality of student collaborative work. Student collaborative work also correlates with students’ higher level of engagement in the educational process, and the more engaged students are, the better their learning outcomes will be. As a result, in higher education, student involvement boosted learning outcomes. Researchers found that motivation, teamwork, and student involvement were important factors in improving student learning outcomes, as were blockchain-based tools. The results from the quantitative analysis indicate that Collaborative work, Motivation, Engagement, MOOCs, AR, VR, Gamification, and Online class were associated with learning performance.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

The potential of blockchain technology in higher education as perceived by students in Serbia, Romania, and Portugal

Lifelong learning approaches that include digital, transversal, and practical skills (i.e., critical thinking, communication, collaboration, information literacy, analytical, metacognitive, reflection, and other research skills) are required in order to be equitable and inclusive and stimulate personal development. Realtime interaction between teachers and students and the ability for students to choose courses from curricula are guaranteed by decentralized online learning. Moreover, through blockchain, it is possible to acquire skills regarding the structure and content while also implementing learning tools. Additionally, documentation validation should be equally crucial to speeding up the process and reducing costs and paperwork. Finally, blockchains are open and inclusive processes that include people and cultures from all walks of life. Learning in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) is facilitated by new technologies, connecting blockchain to sustainability, which helps understand the relationship between technologies and sustainability. Besides serving as a secure transaction system, blockchain technology can help decentralize, provide security and integrity, and offer anonymity and encryption, therefore, promoting a transaction rate increase. This study investigates an alternative in which HEI includes a blockchain network to provide the best sustainable education system. Students’ opinions were analyzed, and they considered that blockchain technology had a very positive influence on learning performance. This work was financially supported by Information Technology School, ITS—Belgrade, Serbia, project ITS/M-TT-DH-UM-01122021. Investigating NTC thermistor, ferroelectric and electric properties of Fe2TiO5

    Get PDF
Pure phase orthorhombic pseudobrookite (Fe2TiO5) was synthesized using a modified sol-gel method. Bulk samples were obtained by uniaxial pressing of the obtained powder into compacts sintered at 900 °C for 2 h. A noticeable NTC thermistor effect was noted with a B20/55 value of 5747 K and high resistivity of 45 MΩcm at 25 °C. A non-linear current-voltage characteristic was observed in the voltage range (0.2–1100 V) at room temperature (25 °C). Non-saturated (lossy) P-E loops were obtained at both measured frequencies (100 Hz and 1 kHz) more expressed for the higher measured frequency, with the maximal polarization of 0.291 C/cm2 and remanent polarization of 0.123 °C/cm2 for 20 kV/cm2 and 1 kHz. Complex impedance measured in the temperature range 20–330 °C enabled analysis of the contribution of grain boundary and grains to the conduction mechanism. Bulk conductivity data determined in this temperature range was analyzed using Jonscher’s universal dielectric response model and showed that the conduction process followed the nearest neighbor hopping conduction mechanism

Ensuring a good position on the market is risked in start-up entrepreneurial endeavors, in which there is an evident funding problem and which have a small amount of the initial capital at their disposal. For that reason, with the help of knowledge and information technologies, entrepreneurial endeavors oriented towards the provision of consulting services for other companies and institutions, or for the personal needs of business decision-making, can ensure a good competitive position by conducting the automation of their services with the help of the original web platform presented in the paper. Thanks to the said automation and web platform, start-up entrepreneurial firms are provided with a strong tool within the framework of their field of work, at a low price, which enables them to be cost-competitive. As the young are increasingly involved in the field of information technologies irrespective of the job they do and as learning programming is increasingly more available within the framework of formal education, non-formal education, i.e. courses, as well as free of charge, via the content on the Internet through diverse tutorials and programs, start-up companies are enabled to utilize their employees’ skills in multiple ways with minimal investments in order to establish the platform, whereas when the professional segment within the field of management and economics, i.e. the managerial segment, are concerned, they may utilize the available knowledge funds and consultants
