Qualitative analysis of hypersound generation is described by the inhomogeneous Burgers equation in the case of the non-harmonic and arbitrary light field. A qualitative possibility of the appearance of discrete values of the coefficient of extinction of the sound wave and the possibility of generation of the same sound signal by different light fields is shown

The nonlinear and nonlocal integrable sine‐Gordon equation

A new type of the nonlocal sine‐Gordon equation with the generalized interaction term is suggested. Its limit cases, symmetries and exact analytical solutions are obtained. This type of the nonlocal sine‐Gordon equation is shown to possess one‐, two‐ and N‐solitonic solutions which are a nonlocal deformation of the corresponding classical solutions of the sine‐Gordon equation. Pasiūlyta nauja nelokali sine‐Gordono evoliucine lygtis su apibendrintu saveikos nariu. Nustatyti šios lygties ribiniai atvejai, Lagranžianas, simetrijos, tikslūs analiziniai sprendiniai. Parodyta, kad šios rūšies nelokali sine‐Gordono lygtis turi vieno, dvieju bei N‐solitoninius sprendinius, kurie yra atitinkamu klasikiniu sine‐Gordono lygties sprendiniu nelokalios deformacijos. Nelokalios sine‐Gordono lygties integruojamumas siejamas su geometrinemis dvimačiu nelokaliai deformuotu paviršiu savybemis. First Published Online: 14 Oct 201

Inward investment, employment and government policies in Wales

This empirical paper examines the links between multinational enterprises’ countries of origin, types of inbound foreign direct investment (IFDI), related capital investment levels and the resultant effects on regional employment in Wales, a peripheral region of the UK. Longitudinal, official data are used to examine the relationships between these variables, making use of statistical techniques. The findings are used to make recommendations for inward investment policy development in Wales, focusing on the targeting of IFDI from those countries of origin whose multinational enterprises appear likely to contribute most to the future creation and safeguarding of regional employment

On the possible existence of new fermionic degrees of freedom in d = 6

The bispinors formed by quaternion in D = 6 dimensional space‐time are proposed to be treated as new fermionic fields. The gauge nonabelian field is formulated by the quaternions. A new kind of physical object, an extended relativistic quaternionic membrane in D = 6, is discussed. Galimas naujų fermionių laisvės laipsnių egzistavimas erdvėlaikyje D = 6 Kvaternioninius bispinorius traktuodami kaip naujus fermioninius laukus D = 6‐mačiame erdvėlaivyje, gausime, kad kalibruotojo lauko bei supersimetrijos sąvokos gali būti iš esmės apibendrintos ir praplėstos. Pasiūlytas Brinko‐Švarco kvaternioninės superdalelės modelis. Parodyta, kad išplėstiniai objektai su lokaline bei globaline supersimetrija turi tenkinti parastatistikos sąryšius. Some properties of fractional burgers equation

The fractional generalization of a one‐dimensional Burgers equationwith initial conditions ɸ(x, 0) = ɸ0(x);  ɸt(x,0) = ψ0 (x), where ɸ = ɸ(x,t) ∈ C2(Ω): ɸt = δɸ/δt; aDx p is the Riemann‐Liouville fractional derivative of the order p; Ω = (x,t) : x ∈ E 1, t > 0; and the explicit form of a particular analytical solution are suggested. Existing of traveling wave solution and conservation laws are considered. The relation with Burgers equation of integer order and properties of fractional generalization of the Hopf‐Cole transformation are discussed. Mathematical simulation of the correlation between the frequency of road traffic accidents and driving experience

Based on statistical analysis indicating the dependence of the number of road traffic accidents on driving experience, a mathematical model of such correlation is offered. The mathematical model has been tested generating a new approximation using the eigenfunctions of the introduced model applied to draw long-term forecasts for the dependence of the number of potential road accidents on driving experience. Since we have more road traffic accidents per one hundred thousand inhabitants than other EU countries, comprehensive data analysis might also be useful for the EU community
