    The Development of Trade and Transport: Perspective From CPEC

    This study aims to assess the trade and transport efficiency by mean of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Further, it measures trade and economic development through transport infrastructure. We use the bivariate and Chi-Square analysis for estimation and finding confirmed a strong relationship between efficiency in trade and transport and CPEC. Likewise, transport route development through CPEC and rapid transportation of goods and service. However, CPEC has a significant strong impact on upgrading traveling potential. Moreover, the transport infrastructure development has a positive effect on fastness reliability of business traveling. Similarly, a significant relationship was detected between CPEC and increase in the geographical size of the labor market. A strong significant nexus between development of transport infrastructures through CPEC. This enables the effective transportation of trade by decreasing time and cost and will contribute to socio-economic development

    Yaşamın her alanında yer bulan teknoloji günümüzde kalabalıkların buluştuğu birçok sanal platforma aracılık etmektedir. Rekabetin her alanda yoğun olarak yaşandığı çevre koşullarında, sosyal medya araçları olarak ifade edilen bu platformlar işletmelerin yeni fırsatlar yaratmalarında aktif rol oynamaktadır. Büyük kitlelere ulaşabilme ve interaktif iletişim kurabilme olanağı yaratan sosyal medya araçları tüm işletme paydaşlarını bir araya getirmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı; Türkiye’nin önde gelen lojistik işletmelerinin sosyal medya kullanım düzeylerini belirlemektir. Bu doğrultuda, işletmelerin kullanıcılarla interaktif olarak karşılaşabilecekleri sosyal medya platformları olan Twitter, Facebook, Instagram ve YouTube ile işletmelerin resmi web sayfaları alt kriterler bazında incelenmiş ve bu lojistik işletmelerinin sosyal medya performans değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada melez bir Çok Kriterli Karar Verme yöntemi önerisinde bulunulmuştur. Kriterlerin önem dereceleri belirlemek üzere Bulanık Analitik Hiyerarşi Prosesi yönteminden, alternatiflerin sosyal medya performansını değerlendirmek üzere Gri İlişkisel Analiz yönteminden faydalanılmıştır. Bulanık AHP yöntemi ile elde edilen sonuçlara göre; işletmelerin sosyal medya performansına en çok etki eden kriterlerin Twitter ve Resmi Web sayfaları olduğu saptanmıştır. Performans değerlemesinde en az etki Instagram ve YouTube sosyal ağlarında yürütülen faaliyetlerden oluşmaktadır. hibrit modeli kullanılarak yapılan hesaplamalar sonucunda sosyal medya performans skoru en yüksek işletme Türk Havayolları olmuştur. Sıralamada ilk 3 sırada yer alan işletmelerin havacılık sektöründe yer aldığı görülmektedir. Technology, which takes place in every area of life, now mediates many virtual platforms where crowds met. By using social media platforms, which provide the opportunity to reach large audiences and create interactive communication, bring together all business stakeholders. In this study, it is proposed to determine the social media usage level of Turkey's leading logistics companies. In this direction, the official web sites of the companies and their specific social media platforms are examined. For evaluating the social media usage of the companies, we take in to account the Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube platforms. In this context, a hybrid Multi-Criteria Decision Making method has been proposed in this study. Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process method is used to identify criteria weights and the Grey Relational Analysis method was used to evaluate the social media performance of the alternatives. According to the results obtained by using fuzzy AHP method; Twitter and Official Web pages were found to be the most important criteria affecting the social media performance of enterprises. The least impact in performance appraisal is the activities carried out on Instagram and YouTube social networks. As a result of the calculations made using the hybrid model, Turkish Airlines has the highest social media performance score. It is seen that the enterprises, which are in the top 3 in the ranking, are in the aviation sector

    Well-known model predictive control (MPC) theory for constrained linear time-invariant (LTI) systems is extended to accommodate hard constraints and cost penalizations on the spectra of the system’s output trajectories. Thus the proposed method facilitates enforcing constraints, and placing weights, on the harmonic content of input-, state- and output-trajectories, in addition to the usual constrained control objectives.     Among the numerous ceramic finds from Kadıkalesi (Kuşadası) excavation, only a few have been identified as used wares related to medieval daily life at the site. However, data were obtained which show pottery production in the Late Byzantine period. In comparison to glazed ceramics, unglazed ceramics make up the majority, in which amphorae in different types and sizes are prevalent. Although we are aware of overseas trade of some glazed ceramics, no chemical analyses concerning amphorae have yet been carried out, and we lack information on their geographical distribution. Based on only one document, it is known that wine was sold in Anaia. Besides these cargo vessels, a group of glazed chalices/goblets was included in trade related to wine. It is also possible to suggest that some cooking pots and service wares were produced for trade. In this paper, following a brief presentation of the Kadıkalesi excavation and its ceramic production, information concerning onsite production sectors is provided; the markets and commercial actors in this trade are discussed

    Bu makalede Kuşadası, Kadıkalesi/Anaia kazısı buluntularından, Orta Çağ’da İran, Suriye, Mısır gibi Doğu Akdeniz İslam ülkelerinden taşınmış seramikler tanıtılmaktadır . Bu vesile ile İslam seramiklerine ilişkin bilgileri hatırlarken onların neden ve nasıl Kadıkalesi’nde oldukları konusundaki soruya cevap vermeye çalışmak yazımızın amacını oluşturur. Onların ilk büyük grubu 2009 yılında kaledeki Anaia piskoposluk kilisesinin güneybatı köşesindeki sarnıçlardan gelmişti. Sonraları kalenin çeşitli açmalarından buluntularla koleksiyon zenginleşti. Buluntular arasında Çin seladonlarını hatırlatan frit hamurlu tek renkli sırlı örneklerle Tel Minis, Kâşân gibi merkezlerden şeffaf sıraltı boyalı kaplar ve az sayıda luster tabaklara ait İran’dan seramik parçaları görülmektedir. Söz konusu buluntular, bir Bizans yerleşimindeki Doğu Akdeniz İslam dünyasından ticari izleri göstermesi açısından önemlidir.In this article, medieval Iranian, Syrian and Egyptian Islamic ceramics of the finds from the excavations on Kadıkalesi/ Anaia nearby Kuşadası, will be presented. While the Islamic ceramic knowledge is reminded, to try finding the answers to the questions on the subject why and how those ceramics were at the site, is aimed for our text. Their first major group was unearthed in the cisterns at the southeastern corner of the episcopal church in the season of 2009. Afterward, the collection was enriched by some sherds found from the other parts of the excavation area. Beside the monochrome glazed frit body ceramics which look like celadons and sherds of the underglaze painting from the centers like Tel Minis and Kashan, there was a minor group of Iranian lusters. These finds are remarkable to show the commercial traces from Eastern Mediterranean Islamic Lands at a Byzantine site
