    O marketing esportivo: diferenças e semelhanças entre futebol e voleibol

Curso de Graduação em Educação Física.Os clubes brasileiros começaram a olhar o marketing esportivo com outros olhos no inicio do século XX, principalmente no futebol para competir com os altos salários pagos por clubes europeus. Já no voleibol o marketing foi utilizado para atrair investidores para a criação de equipes, pois até então o investimento no esporte era pequeno. Esse foi dois exemplos de como o marketing pode ajudar as equipes desportivas na arrecadação de capital para o investimento no esporte. O objetivo desse estudo foi analisar as semelhanças e diferenças entre o marketing esportivo entre equipes profissionais de futebol e voleibol, sendo utilizada como metodologia uma pesquisa básica de abordagem qualitativa. Foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas com a amostra na qual se pode constatar que os dois esportes apresentam em seus departamentos de marketing diferenças e similaridades que ocorrem para suas equipes se adaptarem ao mercado e adquirirem novos patrocinadores

    Multifunctional photocurable advanced materials for electronics and sensing applications

    276 p.Photocurable multifunctional polymer composites have been obtained and characterized according totheir photopolymerization capability, physico-chemical and functional properties. Polyurethane acrylate(PUA) has been selected as polymer matrix combined with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT),barium titante (BaTiO3), indium tin oxide (ITO), magnetite (Fe3O4), cobalt ferrite (CFO), neodymiumiron boron alloy (NdFeB) and 1-buthyl-3-methylimidazolium tetracholonickelate ([Bmim]2NiCl4) ionicliquid (IL) to obtain different functional and multifunctional responses.Different functional and multifunctional responses have been added to the UV curable polymer,depending on the filler type and content. The inclusion of MWCNTs induce a piezoresistive responsecharacterized by GF values between 0.8 and 2.6. BaTiO3 and ITO, strongly increase the dielectricconstant from 7.5 to 25 and up to 33, respectively. In the case of Fe3O4, CFO and NdFeB, magneticcomposites with tailored magnetic properties (from hard to soft magnetic ones) are obtained. Saturationmagnetization values up to 63.86 emu/g, remanence up to 44.95 emu/g and coercivity up to 7000 Oe havebeen obtained depending on filler type and content. Finally, IL allows the preparation of temperatureactivated thermochromic humidity sensing materials with a colour change from blue to colourless,depending on relative humidity.Thus, this work successfully demonstrated the development of UV photocurable functional andmultifunctional materials, compatible with printing technologies, for electronic and sensing applications.BcMaterials: Basque Center for materials applications & nanostructure

    Incidence of Aphelenchoides besseyi in Rice in Louisiana and Host Status of the Most Widely Planted Cultivars

    Aphelenchoides besseyi, the causal agent of white tip disease of rice, has been considered a minor pest of rice during the past 50 years in the United States. Recently this nematode has been found in a number of quarantine samples in Louisiana and Arkansas. Objectives of this research were to determine incidence of this nematode in commercial seed sold to producers in Louisiana and to determine the host status of major cultivars currently produced in the state. During 2015-2016, a total of 216 seed samples representing 3 medium grain, 18 long grain, and 4 long grain hybrid cultivars were examined for A. besseyi. The nematode was detected in 12% of the samples and the highest incidence occurred on long grain hybrids with 30% of the 63 samples infested. Nineteen-week-duration greenhouse studies were conducted to evaluate reproduction of the nematode and pathogenicity to three medium, three long grains, and three long grain hybrid rice cultivars currently popular in Louisiana. Reproductive values of A. besseyi ranged from 11.9 to 2.9 for medium grain cultivar Jupiter and long hybrid XL 753, respectively. Grain weights of Jupiter, CL 111 and XL 753 plants inoculated with A. besseyi were significantly reduced below those of non-inoculated controls. There were significant reductions in plant height for all cultivars, except the long grain cultivar CL 152. Plant weights of Jupiter, CL 111, CL 152, XL 745 and XL 753 plants were reduced significantly when inoculated with A. besseyi. Germination and seedling growth studies conducted in the laboratory and greenhouse indicated that A. besseyi had a negative effect of 27% on percentage of seeds germinating of medium grain Jupiter. However, the nematode had a significant negative impact of 0.64 on average on the rate of germination for all cultivars except the medium grain Caffey
