The Evaluation of Health Education Program (HEP) of 9th Graders

The main purpose of evaluation is to improve the quality of program. So, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the Health Education Program of 9th graders (HEP) with Educational Criticism Model of Eisner. The study was conducted with the qualitative research method. A holistic single case design was employed in this study. The typical case sampling technique was used because we were interested in the normality/typicality of the case. Self-administered questionnaire was presented to respondents. Open-ended questions were employed in this study to give respondents an opportunity to speak their mind. The semi-structured interviews and discussions were conducted individually for a period of approximately two months. The texts that obtained after interview were subject to content analysis with the MAXQDA 12 software. The HEP was in the right way in terms of HEP and language, HEP and information and communication technologies, living, personal and interpersonal skills, critical and creative thinking, approaches and methodologies and assessment. However, in terms of program goals and objectives, program dimensions, time and materials and, staff development, it needed to be improved. Gillnets Selection of Alburnus chalcoides (Güldenstädt, 1772) in Almus Dam Lake (Tokat, Turkey)

In this study gill-net selectivity for Alburnus chalcoides inhabiting the Almus Dam Lake was estimated. Experimental gill-net fishing was conducted using gill-net with 15 mm and 20 mm mesh-size, during October 2002 and September 2003. A total of 254 and 198 specimens of A. chalcoides were caught by gill-net with 15 mm and 198 with the 20 mm mesh-size, respectively. The total length of the fish ranged from 10.5 cm to 21.5 cm for 15 mm mesh-size and 13.6 cm to 25.6 cm for 20 mm mesh-size. Mean total lengths were calculated as 14.34 ± 1.52 cm and 17.85 ± 1.97 cm for 15 mm and 20 mm mesh-size, respectively. Selectivity analysis indicated an optimum length (100% probability of retention) of 14.77 cm for the 15 mm mesh size and 19.69 cm for the 20 mm mesh size gill-nets. Selectivity Factor was calculated as 0.9846. The vast majority (81%) of fish caught by 15 mm mesh size and 20 mm mesh size were mature. Leadership capacity and organizational citizenship behavior in educational institutions

In this research, it is aimed to examine the leadership capacity and organizational citizenship levels belong to the teachers working in some schools and the relationship between them. Relational survey design was used in this research. In the 2019-2020 academic year, 4025 teachers working in some primary, secondary and high school levels in the central districts of Uşak province constitute the study group of this research. In this study, the study titled “The adaptation of the leadership capacity scale (Olkö) in schools into Turkish: a validity and reliability study”, which was adapted into Turkish, was used to determine the level of organizational citizenship. For analyzing of the data obtained from the participants, arithmetic mean percentage, frequency, standard deviation values ​​were calculated. In the study linear regression analysis and pearson correlation analysis were used. Considering the results of the analysis of this research; the average perception of teachers' leadership capacity behaviors is moderate. Again, according to the results of the research; perception of organizational citizenship behavior on average belonging to teachers is at a "high" level. According to teachers' perceptions, a low, but positive and significant relationship has been found between school leadership capacity and organizational citizenship behavior. Leadership capacity is a significant predictor of organizational citizenship behaviors

Conducta Anestésica en Niño con Osteogénesis Imperfecta y Hemorragia Epidural

ResumenLa osteogénesis imperfecta (OI) es el resultado de una mutación genética que causa la formación defectuosa o insuficiente de colágeno. La OI puede causar varias complicaciones anestésicas a causa del manejo difícil de las vías aéreas, de la presencia de deformidad de la columna vertebral, de enfermedades respiratorias, anomalías cardíacas, trastorno de la función plaquetaria, riesgo de hipertermia, invaginación bacilar, deformidades óseas y trastornos metabólicos. El abordaje anestésico de pacientes con OI debe ser hecho con cautela, ya que existe un riesgo de ciertas complicaciones respiratorias. Esos riesgos son causados por deformidad del tórax, fracturas óseas durante el movimiento o el cambio de posición, fracturas mandibulares y cervicales relacionadas con la intubación, intubación difícil e hipertermia maligna. Las técnicas anestésicas con el uso de anestesia venosa total (AVT) y mascarilla laríngea, son adecuadas para el manejo de paciente pediátrico con OI. Sin embargo, esas técnicas todavía no han sido mencionadas como útiles en relatos de casos neuroquirúrgicos. En este estudio, presentamos el uso de AVT y mascarilla laríngea ProSeal (MLP) en un niño con OI y hemorragia epidural. Concluimos que la MLP y la AVT pueden ser usadas con seguridad en el manejo anestésico de pacientes con OI y problemas anestésicos graves
