A tool for generating a random configuration of a cyber arena

    Get PDF
The master's thesis is focused on the design and implementation of a tool for generating configuration named Ansible. The result of using this tool is generated configuration, which contains random values chosen according to specified parameters and it was deployed on a virtual testing infrastructure. The theoretical part describes approaches of network automation in the process of deploying and configuration of network devices called Infrastructure as code. It also describes programme Ansible, which will be using the output of the implemented tool. The practical part of the thesis is focused on designing the functionality and internal structure of the tool, implementation of the tool and testing implemented tool as well as generated configuration

An Examination of Drive for Muscularity Scale Scores and the Female/Athlete Paradox Among Collegiate Female Student-Athletes

Although muscularity is a trait that is traditionally associated with masculinity, women with muscular figures have been deemed more socially acceptable throughout the past decade (Indiana University Health, 2015). That said, societal standards still dictate a specific degree of muscularity that women should attain, creating a complicated paradox for female athletes (Steinfeldt, Carter, Benton, & Steinfeldt,2011). Various studies (Steinfeldt et al., 2011; Krane, Choi, Baird, Aimar, & Kauer, 2004) have established that female athletes exhibit a higher drive for muscularity when compared to their non-athletic counterparts, but most of the existing literature does not examine if and how a female athlete’s drive for muscularity changes over time. Therefore, McCreary and Sasse’s (2000) Drive for Muscularity Scale, as well as a series of short-answer questions adapted from Krane et al. (2004) and Mosewich et al. (2009), were utilized to examine the following: if and how female student-athletes’ drive for muscularity changes over a 10-week period, and female athletes’ experiences with the female/athlete paradox. It was hypothesized that athletes would exhibit a greater drive for muscularity at the end of the 10-week period. There was no significant change in athletes’ DMS scores between the pre- and post-test, and no significant difference between the DMS scores of athletes and the control group. Qualitative data revealed a presence of the female/athlete paradox among female student-athletes at Otterbein, suggesting that more action needs to be taken in order to address female athletes’ struggles in balancing femininity and muscularity

Neural Networks for Network Anomaly Detection

Bakalárska práca sa zameriava na vytvorenie systému na detekciu počítačových útokov. Jedným z najčastejších útokov sú Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) útoky, proti ktorým by mal vytvorený systém ochrániť vnútornú sieť. V teoretickej časti práce sú popísané DDoS útoky, možnosti ich detekcie a princíp a využitie neurónových sietí. Praktická časť obsahuje výber parametrov a zostrojenie neurónovej siete s využitím týchto parametrov, implementáciu tejto neurónovej siete do detekčného systému pracujúcom v reálnom čase a výsledok testovania realizovaného systému.This bachelor thesis is focused on creating a system to mitigate computer network attacks. One of the most common groups of attacks is Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, against which this system should protect internal network. In the theoretical part of the thesis are described DDoS attacks, existing systems for their mitigations, neural networks principle and their use. Practical part consists of choosing communication parameters, constructing a neural network with use of these parameters, implementation of this neural network in real–time attack mitigation system and a result of testing of this system.

Helicobacter pylori: Beginning the Second Decade

‘Beginning the Second Decade’ - a recent international meeting on Helicobacter pylori - was held in conjunction with the VIIth International Workshop on Gastroduodenal Pathology and H pylori and with the meeting of the European Helicobacter pylori Study Group in Houston, Texas from September 30 to October 1, 1994. A menu of 476 abstracts, published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology (1994;89:8), highlighted the explosion of advances in this area. The Houston meeting was followed by the Tenth World Congresses of Gastroenterology from October 2 to 7, 1994 in Los Angeles, California, again with scores of presentations and posters on topics ranging from the epidemiology of H pylori infection to steps towards the development of a human vaccine. All this was in addition to important new work presented earlier in 1994 in New Orleans during Digestive Diseases Week. In this digest of these important meetings, the authors will not regurgitate what the informed reader already knows, but will instead focus on the recent developments in important areas, providing selected key published references for background, and referring to this new work in abstract form which is at the cutting edge of “yesterday’s tomorrow today”

    Marketing Dialogue With Pressure Groups

CSR actions are often controversial due to either the excessive voluntary or narrow standardized approach. The objective of this article is to find indices, which homogenize CSR campaigns of corporations according to specific attitudes and behaviour of individuals. Cluster analysis has significantly differentiated CSR volunteering contributors from non-volunteering critics. A small cluster of non-volunteering respondents calls for support of kids, criminals and addicts. Volunteering clusters are composed of employed respondents who are predominantly calling for equality and environment according to their work and leisure interest. The technology volunteering from the previous year disappeared from the list of CSR of respondents as it was aggregated either to other priority or finished and forgotten due to interests in a new project. Results demonstrate that responsibility is not related only to people in need but calls for simplification of complex public, corporate and human relationships to focus on its development

Helicobacter pylori: From Bench to Bedside

With the exponential increase in research in the field of Helicobacter pylori a paradigm shift has occurred. It is now recognized that H pylori is a chronic infection of the stomach causing inflammation. Some patients remain asymptomatic, while others may develop dyspepsia, duodenal or gastric ulcer, gastric cancer or a mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma. However, the role of H pylori in contributing to nonulcer dyspepsia or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug gastropathy remains controversial. An effective vaccine against H pylori is years away. Major interest has focused on the questions "who should be investigated and therefore treated" and "what is the latest gold standard for eradication of H pylori"? In Europe, guidelines have been developed to help the practitioner answer these important questions. Canadian guidelines will soon be available. For persons with known peptic ulcer disease there should be unequivocal acceptance that the good clinical practice of eradicating H pylori will result in substantial savings in health care expenses. The original 'classical triple therapy' (bismuth, metronidazole and tetracycline [BMT]) has now been surpassed by the combination of a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) plus two antibiotics (metronidazole plus clarithromycin; amoxicillin plus clarithromycin; or amoxicillin plus metronidazole), each given twice a day for one week. In Canada, the regimen of omeprazole plus one antibiotic (amoxicillin or clarithromycin) was approved recently but gives an eradication rate that is lower than the current target of 90%. According to the European (Mäastricht) recommendations, if a single treatment attempt with PPI plus two antibiotics fails, PPI plus BMT is recommended

On the Diagnosis of Neurosyphilis in the Infectious Diseases Hospital

    No full text
A clinical case of neurosyphilis, which was diagnosed in an infectious diseases hospital, is described. Clinical symptoms of late neurosyphilis is non-specific, but the feature of its course current is the absence of fever and intoxication, protein-cell dissociation in the cerebrospinal fluid. The criterion of the effectiveness of therapy is normalization of cerebrospinal fluid parameters with negative specific serological tests (of microprecipitation, immunofluorescence). In the treatment of neurosyphilis, high-dose continuous antibiotic therapy is being used under the control of cerebrospinal fluid analysis
