Produção e caracterização de compósitos obtidos a partir da incorporação de casca de arroz em blendas de polipropileno virgem e reciclado / Production and characterization of composites obtained from the incorporation of rice husk in virgin and recycled polypropylene bends

Neste trabalho compósitos foram preparados a partir de uma blenda constituída de Polipropileno virgem e reciclado, e casca de arroz (CA). Inicialmente foram preparadas 3 blendas (B8020, B5050 e B2080) utilizando extrusora dupla - rosca. Posteriormente, foram preparados 2 compósitos a partir da blenda B5050 contendo 5 e 10% de fibras. Os corpos-de-prova foram obtidos por compressão e caracterizados por densidade (ASTM D792), dureza (ASTM D2240) e índice de fluidez (MFI, ASTM D1238). Os resultados obtidos mostraram que o aumento do teor de casca de arroz promoveu uma redução nos valores de densidade, dureza e índice de fluidez dos compósitos

Gestão do cuidado em pessoas com doenças crônicas

Objetivo: Tem-se por objetivo analisar na literatura atual, como se dá a gestão do cuidado em saúde para pessoas com doença crônica. Método: Revisão sistemática da literatura, descritiva e qualitativa, realizada nas bases: Portal de Periódicos da CAPES, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde – LILACS, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online – MEDLINE, Google acadêmico e Scientific Electronic Library Online – SciELO. Sendo assim, foram definidos os critérios de inclusão e exclusão: textos integrais, gratuitos, publicados entre 2012 a 2022, que abordassem de forma direcionada sobre o tema, no idioma inglês, português e espanhol. Após o processo de filtragem dos critérios de inclusão, leitura dos artigos integralmente e análise minuciosa, foram selecionadas 06 publicações. Resultados: Os temas mais citados foram: descontinuidade do cuidado, fragmentação em saúde, má comunicação entre os serviços e profissionais de saúde, e por fim, a necessidade de capacitações e ações de educação permanente efetivas. Conclusão: Enfrentar os desafios do aumento da prevalência de doenças crônicas e seus impactos, exigirá grandes mudanças no sistema de saúde, bem como afetará na qualidade de vida dos pacientes

Neotropical freshwater fisheries : A dataset of occurrence and abundance of freshwater fishes in the Neotropics

The Neotropical region hosts 4225 freshwater fish species, ranking first among the world's most diverse regions for freshwater fishes. Our NEOTROPICAL FRESHWATER FISHES data set is the first to produce a large-scale Neotropical freshwater fish inventory, covering the entire Neotropical region from Mexico and the Caribbean in the north to the southern limits in Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, and Uruguay. We compiled 185,787 distribution records, with unique georeferenced coordinates, for the 4225 species, represented by occurrence and abundance data. The number of species for the most numerous orders are as follows: Characiformes (1289), Siluriformes (1384), Cichliformes (354), Cyprinodontiformes (245), and Gymnotiformes (135). The most recorded species was the characid Astyanax fasciatus (4696 records). We registered 116,802 distribution records for native species, compared to 1802 distribution records for nonnative species. The main aim of the NEOTROPICAL FRESHWATER FISHES data set was to make these occurrence and abundance data accessible for international researchers to develop ecological and macroecological studies, from local to regional scales, with focal fish species, families, or orders. We anticipate that the NEOTROPICAL FRESHWATER FISHES data set will be valuable for studies on a wide range of ecological processes, such as trophic cascades, fishery pressure, the effects of habitat loss and fragmentation, and the impacts of species invasion and climate change. Growing knowledge: an overview of Seed Plant diversity in Brazil

Abstract An updated inventory of Brazilian seed plants is presented and offers important insights into the country's biodiversity. This work started in 2010, with the publication of the Plants and Fungi Catalogue, and has been updated since by more than 430 specialists working online. Brazil is home to 32,086 native Angiosperms and 23 native Gymnosperms, showing an increase of 3% in its species richness in relation to 2010. The Amazon Rainforest is the richest Brazilian biome for Gymnosperms, while the Atlantic Rainforest is the richest one for Angiosperms. There was a considerable increment in the number of species and endemism rates for biomes, except for the Amazon that showed a decrease of 2.5% of recorded endemics. However, well over half of Brazillian seed plant species (57.4%) is endemic to this territory. The proportion of life-forms varies among different biomes: trees are more expressive in the Amazon and Atlantic Rainforest biomes while herbs predominate in the Pampa, and lianas are more expressive in the Amazon, Atlantic Rainforest, and Pantanal. This compilation serves not only to quantify Brazilian biodiversity, but also to highlight areas where there information is lacking and to provide a framework for the challenge faced in conserving Brazil's unique and diverse flora
