Nuclear Equation of State and many-body phase-space correlations in the Constrained Molecular Dynamics

Many-body correlations characterizing the Constrained Molecular Dynamics (CoMD)are analyzed in the case of finite and zero range effective microscopic interactions. The study begins by analyzing the case of infinite nuclear matter at zero temperature. A comparison with the predictions in the mean-field (MF) limit corresponding to different effective masses, highlights non-negligible differences regarding the produced Equation of State (EoS). A procedure is illustrated to determine the necessary correction of the effective interaction parameters in the CoMD model so to reproduce the chosen EoS. Even if the obtained numerical results are strictly valid for the specific model calculations, the rather general feature of the discussed correlations gives a wider meaning to the resulting differences. These are in fact strongly related both to the Pauli principle constraint and to the localization effects related to wave-packets dynamics. Moving on to finite systems, preliminary results are shown in relation to the reaction mechanisms induced on the 64Ni+48Ca^{64}Ni+^{48}Ca system described through the CoMD model. In particular, the differences obtained between the case of finite and zero range interactions with and without the parameter corrections are discussed. The study is performed at different incident energies lower than 150 AMeV.Comment: v1 submitted to Nucl. Phys. A on 26/11/2022 v2 re-submitted on 27/07/2023 under revie

On the analytic continuation of the critical line

We perform a numerical study of the systematic effects involved in the determination of the critical line at real baryon chemical potential by analytic continuation from results obtained at imaginary chemical potentials. We present results obtained in a theory free of the sign problem, three-color QCD with finite isospin chemical potential, and comment on general features which could be relevant also to the continuation of the critical line in real QCD at finite baryon density.Comment: 7 pages, 3 figures, Contribution to The XXVII International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory, Beijing, July 25-31, 200

Development and perspectives of ethical finance in Iran

    — Iran has a rich and old tradition of ethical finance and economics. Well before the Islamic Revolution, institutes and initiatives were active in encouraging an inclusive vision of economy. Although re-elaborated under a different light, these concepts survived in the current Constitution, which defines economy using a “social” approach (art.43). Under this light, the legality of capitalism and that of the use of private investment are one of the pillars of economy itself (art.44) only if subordinated to religiously inspired ethical principles of justice and equity and in a way that makes of them a mere complement to State or to the corporative actors. Religious guidance is therefore immanent even in the very own definition of economy as a mean, and not as an end, to get social purposes like, inter alia, welfare, elimination of poverty  and abolition of deprivation of means of self-sustainment. State-driven economics was nevertheless a prominent concept in original Iranian constitutional thought. Starting from the Nineties, financial and economic reforms have been leading the system from a corporatist vision that characterised the first fifteen years of existence of the Islamic Republic to a more actual social market, putting in discussion and somewhat re-inventing the relationship between the public and the private

Analysis of food supplement with unusual raspberry ketone content

In recent years food supplement market increased constantly, including slimming products and against obesity. The case of rasberry ketone (RK) is here reported. HPTLC and HPLC-DAD analyses on a marketed product containing raspberry juice evidenced an abnormal quantity of RK, not in accordance with the juice natural content. The reported data confirm the need of adequate controls on marketed food supplements and the necessity of a complete adherence between labelling and real constitution of the product. Practical Applications: Determining the natural origin and assuring the consumers' safety for raspberry-based food supplement
