    Pembelajaran Fisika Berbasis Cone of Experience Edgar Dale pada Materi Elastisitas dan Fluida Statis

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) besarnya hasil belajar fisika peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Sidenreng Rappang yang diajar dengan pembelajaran fisika berbasis cone of experience Edgar Dale (2) besarnya hasil belajar fisika peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Sidenreng Rappang yang diajar dengan pembelajaran fisika tanpa berbasis cone of experience Edgar DaleĀ  (konvensional) (3) besarnya hasil belajar fisika peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Sidenreng Rappang yang diajar dengan pembelajaran fisika berbasis cone of experience Edgar Dale lebih tinggi dibandingkan yang diajar dengan pembelajaran fisika tanpa berbasis cone of experience Edgar Dale (konvensional). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian true eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain Posttest-Only Control Design dengan melibatkan variabel bebas yaitu pembelajaran fisika berbasis cone of experience Edgar Dale dan variabel terikat yaitu hasil belajar fisika. Subyek populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Sidenreng Rappang tahun ajaran 2017/2018 yang terdiri dari 4 kelas dengan sampel di pilih secara random sampel (acak kelas) sehingga diperoleh kelas X IPA1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar fisika peserta didik dalam bentuk pilihan ganda. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif post-test menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik dengan pembelajaran fisika berbasis cone of experience Edgar Dale lebih banyak memperoleh skor pada kategori tinggi dan peserta didik dengan pembelajaran fisika tanpa berbasis cone of experience Edgar DaleĀ  lebih banyak memperoleh skor pada kategori sedang. Sedangkan hasil analisis statistik inferensial menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelas berasal dari populasi berdistribusi normal yang homogen dan diperoleh nilai thitung ttabelĀ  yaitu 2.6351.671 yang menunjukkanĀ  rata-rata skor populasi hasil belajar fisika peserta didik kelas XI IPA1 yang diajar denganĀ  pembelajaran fisika berbasis cone of experience Edgar DaleĀ  lebih tinggi dibandingkanĀ  rata-rata skorĀ  hasil belajar fisika peserta didik yang diajar dengan pembelajaran fisika tanpa berbasis cone of experience Edgar Dale (konvensional). This research is true experiment research by using Posttest-Only Control Design design by involving independent variable that is physics learning based on cone of experience Edgar Dale and dependent variable that is result of physics study. The population subjects in this study were students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Sidenreng Rappang academic year 2017/2018 consisting of 4 classes with sample randomly selected sample (random class) so that obtained class X IPA1 as experimental class and class XI IPA2 as control class. The research instrument used is the test of physics learners learning in the form of multiple choice. The result of post-test descriptive statistic analysis shows that learners with physics learning based on cone of experience Edgar Dale get higher score on high category and learners with physics learning without cone-of-experience Edgar Dale get more score in medium category. While the results of inferential statistical analysis indicate that the two classes derived from homogeneous normal distribution population and obtained the value 2.635 1.671 which shows the average population score of physics learning outcomes of students class XI IPA1 who was taught with physics learning based cone of experience Edgar Dale higher than the average score of physics learning outcomes of learners who were taught with physics learning without based on convex of experience Edgar Dale (conventional). So based on the two analysis can be stated that there is influence of physics learning based on experience of Edgar Dale to the result of physics study of student of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Sidenreng Rappang.Keywords: Physics Learning, Cone of Experience Edgar Dale, physics learning resul

    An Analysis of Understanding of Traffic Signs among Drivers and Pedestrians in Dhaka, Bangladesh

    This research demonstrates the percentage of drivers and pedestrians understanding the traffic sign in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The survey was conducted among 634 drivers inside and outside of Dhaka city. Moreover, 508 pedestrians participated in the survey within Dhaka city. In comparison, there were 863 male respondents and 279 female respondents among 1142 respondents. The survey took the form of multiple-choice questions that included the picture attached to each sign. However, the survey questionnaires included a few questions regarding driver gender, age, educational qualification, and driving experience. Similarly, the survey questionnaires for pedestrians had also been discussed questions regarding pedestrian gender, age, educational qualification, and job status. The overall traffic sign understanding of drivers was 68.68%. Moreover, the comprehensive traffic signs understanding of pedestrians was 64.5%. The findings showed that the drivers had a medium degree of understanding of the traffic signā€™s meaning. However, the study results showed that efforts are needed to educate the drivers and pedestrians about the proper interpretation and reaction to traffic signals

In this material there is a procedure where as a stage of activity activities to solve it and steps to resolve a problem. Assessment is the process of activities to provide value opinions on objects of valuation in the form of State Property. Fixed Assets consist of two types, namely tangible fixed assets and intangible fixed assets. The purpose of this study was to analyze the procedure for assessing fixed assets at KPKNL Manado. The method used is an analysis of the valuation of the fixed assets of KPKNL Manado.     Microvision: Static analysis-based approach to visualizing microservices in augmented reality

    Microservices are supporting digital transformation; however, fundamental tools and system perspectives are missing to better observe, understand, and manage these systems, their properties, and their dependencies. Microservices architecture leans toward decentralization, which yields many advantages to system operation; it, however, brings challenges to their development. Microservices lack a system-centric perspective to better cope with system evolution and quality assessment. In this work, we explore microservice-specific architecture reconstruction based on static analysis. Such reconstruction typically results in system models to visualize selected system-centric perspectives. Conventional models are limited in utility when the service cardinality is high. We consider an alternative data visualization using 3D space using augmented reality. To begin testing the feasibility of deriving such perspectives from microservice systems, we developed and implemented prototype tools for software architecture reconstruction and visualization of compared perspectives

    Risk mitigation strategies and policy implications for carbon dioxide (CO2) emission in organically- amended soils in Nigeria

    Global food security has been a challenge, especially in Africa. This has attracted the adoption of strategies to improve soil productivity and crop yield. One of such strategies is the use of solid wastes as soil organic matter amendments. An investigation of the effects of soil amendment using poultry manure, sawdust and their mixtures on carbon dioxide (CO2) emission, maize (Zea mays L.) growth and dry matter yield were assessed under laboratory and greenhouse conditions. Top soil obtained from unfertilized plots at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching and Research farm, Ile-Ife, Nigeria was used for the experiments. The organic amendments were added at the rate of 10 g/kg, treatments were in triplicates and treatment means were separated using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test at 95% level of significance. Results obtained revealed that CO2 emission decreased while maize heights and dry matter yields significantly (P > 0.05) increased with increasing ratios of poultry manure in the poultry manure-sawdust mixtures. The CO2 emission from poultry manure amended soil was about 61% that from sawdust amended soil while the mean height and dry matter yield in sawdust-amended soils were 84% and 52% respectively those obtained in poultry manure amended soil. This paper concludes that it is essential to design and implement policies that will guide and encourage the use of organic amendments at ratios that can enhance crop yield and mitigate CO2 emission to the environment.Key words: Food security, solid waste, carbon dioxide emission, organic amendments, environment and policy

    Microservice Architecture Reconstruction and Visualization Techniques: A Review

    Microservice system solutions are driving digital transformation; however, fundamental tools and system perspectives are missing to better observe, understand, and manage these systems, their properties, and their dependencies. In this work, we explored microservice-specific architecture reconstruction based on static analysis. Conventional models involve 2D methods; however, these methods are limited in utility when services proliferate. We considered various architectural perspectives relevant to microservices and assessed the relevancy of the traditional method, comparing it to alternative data visualization using 3D space. As a representative of the 3D method, we considered a 3D graph model presented in augmented reality. To begin testing the feasibility of deriving such perspectives from microservice systems, we developed and implemented prototype tools for software architecture reconstruction and visualization of compared perspectives. Using these prototypes, we performed a small user study with software practitioners to highlight the potentials and limitations of these innovative visualizations used for common practitioner reasoning and tasks

    Geoelectrical and Geotechnical Characterization of Different Types of Soil in Ede, Osun State, Nigeria

    Geoelectrical and geotechnical investigations were carried out to characterize soils from different locations in Ede, Osun State, Nigeria for engineering purposes. Wenner electrode configuration technique was deployed in carrying out the geoelectrical survey of about 40m for each profile. The data analysis was approached by plotting the apparent conductivity against electrode spacing (s) and the result was interpreted. The geoelectrical resistivity survey revealed locations 1 and 2 with resistivity values of 25.01-419.22ohm-m (conductivity 0.002 - 0.194 (ohm-m)-1and 5.5-1246.57 ohm-m (conductivity = 0.0002 - 0.001 (ohm-m)-1) respectively could be classified as clay. Sample 3 recorded a resistivity value of 1.00- 22,787.39 ohm-m (conductivity= 0.00004- 1.00 (ohm-m)-1) thus, was classified as silt/sand respectively. Soil from the said different locations in Ede, Nigeria, were tested in the Laboratory for certain properties like Atterberg limits, specific gravities, sieve analysis, compaction test, etc. and the results showed that samples 1, 2 and 3 have specific gravity values of 2.50, 2.13 and 2.40 respectively and could therefore be referred to as organic soil. Samples 1, 2 and 3 have maximum dry density (MDD) of 1.45g/cm3, 1.92g/cm3, 1.95g/cm3 and optimum moisture content (OMC) of 15.40%, 13.36% and 9.61% respectively.     A FASHION COLOUR COMBINATION VISUALIZATION MODEL USING GENETIC ALGORITHM

    Selecting appropriate colours poses great challenge for expert fashion designers and users. At times, different coloured fabrics and textiles have to be manually placed side by side to see how well they combine. In this paper, a model was developed for fashion colour combination visualization for ladies using concepts in genetic algorithm to achieve a display of colour variations. This research involved 26 users to suggest rules that guide choosing fashion colour combination for ladies in the initial stage. Analysis of the questionnaire was carried out in an online survey site. Two of the suggestions made by the users were considered. These are light colours on dark colours and stripped colours on plain colours. The system was implemented using C# programming language and XAML. It was found to be a useful tool to users and fashion designers for the visualization of fashion colour combination for ladies.
