Avaliação Da Assistência Oftalmológica Na Perspectiva Dos Usuários
The prevalence of need of, access to, and dissatisfaction with ophthalmic assistance was estimated among those who were assisted in such services in the last year; factors associated with dissatisfaction were identified. Complex probabilistic sample was used. A descriptive, bivariate, and multiple analysis with correction for design effect was conducted. Of 2.582 participants, 76% needed assistance and, of those, 82.5% possessed access to it. Among patients who received assistance in the last year, 13.1% were dissatisfied. Dissatisfaction was higher among older patients, those who went walking or cycling to the location of assistance, and those who described the following aspects as regular/bad/terrible: being received and treated with respect, the clarity with which the service provider explained things, and their autonomy to choose their provider of ophthalmic assistance. Most of them was in need of and possessed access to assistance. Dissatisfaction was low. Patient’s age, means of transport used to get to the local of the assistance, patient-professional relationship, and autonomy to choose are factors that interfere for the outcome of dissatisfaction. © 2016, Assocaicao Brasileira de Pos, Gradacao em Saude Coletiva. Manifestações Abdominais Do Linfoma Extranodal: Ensaio Iconográfico
In the appropriate clinical setting, certain aspects of extranodal abdominal lymphoma, as revealed by current cross-sectional imaging techniques, should be considered potentially diagnostic and can hasten the diagnosis. In addition, diagnostic imaging in the context of biopsy-proven lymphoma can accurately stage the disease for its appropriate treatment. Using polyacrylamide with sprinkler irrigation to improve infiltration
Center-pivot irrigation systems often apply water at rates greater than the soil
infiltration rate. Applying high molecular weight, water-soluble, anionic polyacrylamide (PAM) to
the soil can improve infiltration and reduce soil erosion The objective of this study was to
determine whether single and multiple PAM applications with sprinkler irrigation improved
infiltration under field conditions. A two-year study conducted near Kimberly, Idaho, used a
solid-set sprinkler system, and a one-year study conducted in Monte dos Alhos near Alvalade do
Sado, Portugal, used a center pivot. At Kimberly, applying PAM with four irrigations (total
applied PAM was 2.1 kg ha-1 in 2000 and 3.0 kg ha-1 in 2001) significantly reduced total measured
runoff, from 5.9 mm (2000) and 9.2 mm (2001) for the control to 2.0 and 2.1 mm. Total measured
soil erosion was also reduced from 52 and 34 kg ha 1 for the control to 21 and 5 kg ha 1 for the
multiple PAM treatment. Applying similar or greater amounts of PAM with a single irrigation
reduced erosion, but not runoff, compared with the control. In the Monte dos Alhos study, runoff
was reduced by applying a total of 0.3 kg PAM ha 1 with a single irrigation (43 mm runoff) or
three irrigations (65 mm runoff) compared with the control (111 mm runoff). Measured soil
erosion was not significantly different among treatments. Applying PAM with multiple irrigations
extended its effectiveness as long as the application rate was great enough to adequately
stabilize the soil surface during the first irrigation
Magnetic properties of the frustrated AFM spinel ZnCr_2O_4 and the spin-glass Zn_{1-x}Cd_xCr_2O_4 (x=0.05,0.10)
The -dependence (2- 400 K) of the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR),
magnetic susceptibility, , and specific heat, , of the
antiferromagnetic (AFM) spinel ZnCrO and the spin-glass
(SG) ZnCdCrO () is reported. These
systems behave as a strongly frustrated AFM and SG with K and -400 K K. At high-
the EPR intensity follows the and the -value is -independent.
The linewidth broadens as the temperature is lowered, suggesting the existence
of short range AFM correlations in the paramagnetic phase. For
ZnCrO the EPR intensity and decreases below 90 K and 50
K, respectively. These results are discussed in terms of nearest-neighbor
Cr (S %) spin-coupled pairs with an exchange coupling of 50 K. The appearance of small resonance modes for K,
the observation of a sharp drop in and a strong peak in
at K confirms, as previously reported, the existence of long range
AFM correlations in the low- phase. A comparison with recent neutron
diffraction experiments that found a near dispersionless excitation at 4.5 meV
for and a continuous gapless spectrum for ,

Equine infectious anemia : prevalence in working equids of livestock herds, in Minas Gerais, Brazil
Estimaram-se, no estado de Minas Gerais, a prevalência e a distribuição espacial da anemia infecciosa eqüina (AIE) em propriedades com eqüídeos de serviço. As amostras de sangue, de 6540 eqüídeos de 1940 rebanhos foram coletadas no período de setembro de 2003 a março de 2004, nos 853 municípios do estado. Utilizaram-se dois testes de laboratório em seqüência: ELISA, usando-se antígeno recombinante gp90, e imunodifusão em gel de ágar (IDGA). As prevalências foram de 5,3% [IC=4,3 a 6,3%] para rebanhos e de 3,1% [IC=2,2 a 3,9%] para animais. O estado de Minas Gerais foi considerado área endêmica para AIE. As mais altas prevalências para rebanhos e para animais foram encontradas na região Norte/Noroeste, seguida pela região Vale do Mucuri/Jequitinhonha. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe prevalence and spatial distribution of equine infectious anemia (EIA) were estimated in livestock herds where equids were used as draft power and for transportation in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Serum samples were collected from September/2003 to March/2004 in 853 municipalities of the state. The sample comprised 6,540 equids from 1,940 herds. Two laboratorial tests were performed in sequence: ELISA using a recombinant gp90 protein, following by the AGID. The prevalence in the herds was estimated in 5.3% [CI = 4.3 to 6.3%], and 3.1% [CI = 2.2 to 3.9%] of the animals tested were positive. Minas Gerais was considered an endemic region for EIA. The highest prevalence for herds and animals was found in North/Northwest region (strata) followed by Vale do Mucuri/Jequitinhonha region

Studies Of The Three-dimensional Frustrated Antiferromagnetic Zncr2o4
Results of studies of the susceptibility, magnetic specific heat, and electron paramagnetic resonance spectrum of the geometrically frustrated antiferromagnetic ZnCr2O4 are presented. The temperature dependence of the susceptibility and the specific heat are in good agreement with the predictions of the quantum tetrahedral mean field model for exchange-coupled spin-3/2 ions on a pyrochlore lattice. Fitting the integrated Spectral Energy Distributions of Galaxies
Fitting the spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of galaxies is an almost
universally used technique that has matured significantly in the last decade.
Model predictions and fitting procedures have improved significantly over this
time, attempting to keep up with the vastly increased volume and quality of
available data. We review here the field of SED fitting, describing the
modelling of ultraviolet to infrared galaxy SEDs, the creation of
multiwavelength data sets, and the methods used to fit model SEDs to observed
galaxy data sets. We touch upon the achievements and challenges in the major
ingredients of SED fitting, with a special emphasis on describing the interplay
between the quality of the available data, the quality of the available models,
and the best fitting technique to use in order to obtain a realistic
measurement as well as realistic uncertainties. We conclude that SED fitting
can be used effectively to derive a range of physical properties of galaxies,
such as redshift, stellar masses, star formation rates, dust masses, and
metallicities, with care taken not to over-interpret the available data. Yet
there still exist many issues such as estimating the age of the oldest stars in
a galaxy, finer details ofdust properties and dust-star geometry, and the
influences of poorly understood, luminous stellar types and phases. The
challenge for the coming years will be to improve both the models and the
observational data sets to resolve these uncertainties. The present review will
be made available on an interactive, moderated web page (sedfitting.org), where
the community can access and change the text. The intention is to expand the
