    Spinning Relativistic Particle in an External Electromagnetic Field

    The Hamiltonian formulation of the motion of a spinning relativistic particle in an external electromagnetic field is considered. The approach is based on the introduction of new coordinates and their conjugated momenta to describe the spin degrees of freedom together with an appropriate set of constraints in the Dirac formulation. For particles with gyromagnetic ratio g=2g=2, the equations of motion do not predict any deviation from the standard Lorentz force, while for g≠2g \neq 2 an additional force, which corresponds to the magnetic dipole force, is obtained.Comment: Latex file, 11 page

    Simulating accelerated atoms coupled to a quantum field

    We show an analogy between static quantum emitters coupled to a single mode of a quantum field and accelerated Unruh-DeWitt detectors. We envision a way to simulate a variety of relativistic quantum field settings beyond the reach of current computational power, such as high number of qubits coupled to a quantum field following arbitrary non-inertial trajectories.     Multiplicative local linear hazard estimation and best one-sided cross-validation

    This paper develops detailed mathematical statistical theory of a new class of cross-validation techniques of local linear kernel hazards and their multiplicative bias corrections. The new class of cross-validation combines principles of local information and recent advances in indirect cross-validation. A few applications of cross-validating multiplicative kernel hazard estimation do exist in the literature. However, detailed mathematical statistical theory and small sample performance are introduced via this paper and further upgraded to our new class of best one-sided cross-validation. Best one-sided cross-validation turns out to have excellent performance in its practical illustrations, in its small sample performance and in its mathematical statistical theoretical performance
