    Innovative Planungskonzepte in der Flughafen-Logistik

    Die Gepäckförderanlagen von Luftfahrt-Drehkreuzen wie Peking oder Dubai gehören mit etwa 100 km Förderstrecke und 10.000 Transporteinheiten heute zu den größten automatisierten Logistiksystemen. Die Professur für Technische Logistik der TU Dresden ist an ihrer Planung und Simulation beteiligt und entwickelt Werkzeuge für den Systementwurf. Der Beitrag stellt zuerst Gepäckförderanlagen und die Planungsaufgabe vor. Danach werden zwei innovative Konzepte für frühe Planungsstufen vorgestellt. Dabei wird das Anlagen-Layout in ein Knoten-Kanten-Modell überführt. So wird einerseits mit diskretisierten statistischen (Zeit-) Verteilungen das dynamische Anlagenverhalten schneller und ähnlich genau bewertet wie mit der Simulation. Andererseits werden statistische Maßzahlen aus der Theorie komplexer Netzwerke genutzt, um das Transportnetzwerk hinsichtlich Robustheit und Lastbalancierung zu optimieren.Baggage handling systems of air hubs like Beijing or Dubai contain about 100 km of conveyor lines and 10,000 transport units. The paper first introduces into the field and the design targets. Than two innovative concepts for early planning stages are presented which derive a node-link-model from the system’s layout. Now, the system dynamic is evaluated by means of time-discrete statistic distributions more rapidly and as exactly as by simulations. Besides, statistic measures from complex network theory are used to optimise the transport with respect to robustness and load balancing

    The Capillary Bed in the Choroid Plexus of the Lateral Ventricles: A Study of Luminal Casts

    Micro-angioarchitecture of the choroid plexus of the lateral ventricles is investigated in microcorrosion casts of animal and human preparations studied with the scanning electron microscope. The capillary bed in the diverse regions of the tissue belongs to one of three patterns: (1)-a network of capillary meshes that envelop the larger arteries and veins predominates in the central segment. (2)-in the villous regions a leaf-like organization of sinusoids is found together with (3)-fronds of glomerular formations. Glomeruli are formed when arterial afferents and venous efferents converge in a quasi hilar structure before branching in arterio-venous loops. Nodular thickenings are observed on glomerular capillaries The preparations studied (rat, dog, human) are remarkably similar and differ mostly in degree of occurrence of common architectural patterns. Arterio-venous communications are found at the hilus of human glomerular formations

    Genotoxicity characteristics of reverse diol-epoxides of chrysene

    Trans-3,4-dihydroxy-3,4-dihydrochrysene (chrysene-3,4-diol), a major metabolite of chrysene, is further metabolized by rat liver enzymes to products which effectively revert the his− Salmonella typhimurium strain TA98 to histidine prototrophy, but are only weakly mutagenic in strain TA100 and in Chinese hamster V79 cells (acquisition of resistance to 6-thioguanine). The liver enzyme mediated mutagenicity of chrysene-3,4-diol is substantially enhanced in the presence of 1,1,1-trichloropropene 2,3-oxide, an inhibitor of microsomal epoxide hydrolase. The predominant metabolites of chrysene-3,4-diol, namely the anti- and syn-isomers of its 1,2-oxide (termed reverse diol-epoxides), proved to be extraordinarily effective mutagens in S.typhimurium strain TA98, but were only moderately active in strains TA100 and TA104, and in the SOS induction in Escherichia coli PQ37. These genotoxicity spectra in bacteria are completely different from those observed with the bay-region diol-epoxides of chrysene and 3-hydroxychrysene. In V79 cells, the reverse diol-epoxides formed low levels of DNA adducts and were very weak inducers of gene mutations. In M2 mouse prostate cells, however, high numbers of transformed foci were induced by chrysene-3,4-diol and its diastereomeric 1,2-oxides. Chrysene-3,4-diol was somewhat more potent than chrysene-1,2-diol. The potency of both reverse diol-epoxides was similar to that of the syn-diastereomers of the bay-region diol-epoxides of chrysene and 3-hydroxychrysene, but lower than that of their anti-diastereomers. The reverse diol-epoxides of chrysene, unlike the bay-region diol-epoxides, were inactivated by purified microsomal epoxide hydrolase. Noteworthy findings were also made with regard to the chemical stability of the diol-epoxides in buffer, determined from the decline in mutagenicity after preincubation in the absence of the target cells. Despite its lower ΔEdeloc/β value for the formation of the benzylic carbocation, anti-chrysene-3,4-diol 1,2-oxide was shorter-lived (t½ = 46 min) than anti-chrysene-l,2-diol 3,4-oxide (t½ = 74 min). Unlike other investigated diastereomeric pairs of diol-epoxides, it was also shorter-lived than its syn-diastereomer (t½12 = 340 min

    On the physical nature of photon and the modeling of its wave function of free propagation in space and time

    In the framework of quantum mechanics the physical nature of the photon is discussed. It is substantiated that a photon is a quantum quasiparticle, the free propagation of which must be considered taking into account the processes in a physical vacuum at Planck distances. For practical purposes on a macroscopic scale, the photon propagation can be modeled using the wave function (wave packet) normalized to the unit probability in the coordinate representation
