Study of the response of CFRP composite laminates to a laser-induced shock

Laser-induced shock yields to a local tensile stress within a sample. This high strain rate stress can be used to verify the bond strength between two layers. This method has been applied to Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) composite laminates, involved in aeronautic or defense industry. Experiments have been carried out on high power laser facility in the nanosecond regime. A velocimetry interferometer has been used to record the material velocity at the back surface of the samples. This study provides a comprehensive approach of the response of CFRP laminates of different thicknesses to a shock load normal to the fibres direction. The stress waves generation and propagation within the laminate and the induced delamination are key issues of this work. Bundling and Mergers in Energy Markets

International audienceDoes bundling trigger mergers in energy industries? We observe mergers between rms belonging to various energy markets, for instance between gas and electricity providers. These mergers enable rms to bundle. We consider two horizontally di¤erentiated markets. In this framework, we show that bundling strategies in energy markets create incentives to form multi-market rms in order to supply bi- energy packages. Moreover, we nd that this type of merger is detrimental to social welfare

Les réactions du marché à l'annonce de programmes de réduction des coûts : une étude exploratoire sur les entreprises du CAC 40.

Cette recherche exploratoire réalisée sur les entreprises du CAC 40 entre 2000 et 2003 montre que les annonces de programmes de réduction de coûts ont un impact positif sur les cours de bourse. Les réactions du marché dépendent de la santé financière de l’entreprise mais sont indépendantes du contenu informatif de l’annonce.This exploratory research, realized on the firms that constituted the CAC 40 index from 2000 to 2003, shows that cost reduction programs announcements have a positive impact on shareholders value. The combination of spatial approach with social network analysis thus provides a relevant basis to capture the specific configuration and geography of scientific activities, from Plutarch's learned banquets to contemporary Web of Science.L'activité scientifique, comme activité sociale dédiée à la production et à la diffusion des savoirs, produit à chaque époque d'abondantes traces documentaires, dont l'exploitation et le traitement permettent de reconstituer autant de mondes savants, dans la pluralité de leur organisation et de leur fonctionnement. L'analyse de ces configurations et de leurs variations, modelées par des contextes et des logiques spécifiques, est au cœur de cette contribution, élaborée à l'articulation de plusieurs domaines des sciences sociales. Le croisement de l'analyse des réseaux et de l'approche spatiale constitue l'un des objectifs de cette démarche pluridisciplinaire.
