The present work of investigation takes the title of: "The Public Policies of Mental Health and the Psychosocial Risk Burnout in the Judicial Assistants of the Judicial Power Headquarter Cusco in the year 2019", the objective of this work of investigation is to determine the relation between the Public Policies of Mental Health and the Psychosocial Risk Burnout in the Judicial Assistants of the Judicial Power Headquarter Cusco in the year 2019. The present investigation is of non- experimental type of simple and transverse correlational design, the sample was conformed by 30 Judicial Assistants between the 35 and 60 years of age, who are part of the central seat of the Judicial Power of Cusco. A survey was applied to apply Maslach's psychological instrument that evaluates four categories: Burnout Syndrome, emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal fulfillment. A sociodemographic survey was also applied to them. We also applied an interview to SUNAFIL staff in order to validate our research hypothesis. The techniques of data collection, have been the survey and interview; and as instruments, the Maslach Test. The research work has been structured in 5 chapters which are the following: I) Introduction, which is made up of the problem statement, formulation of problems, justification, objectives, research viability and delimitation of the study; II) Theoretical framework, within which we find the study background, the theoretical bases, the research hypotheses, the variables and operationalization, as well as the definition of terms and normative bases; III) Methodology, which covers the scope of the study, the type and design of the research, the population, sample, data collection techniques and instruments, validation and reliability of instruments; IV) Results, which contains the results of the study and their analysis; V) Discussion, which refers to the critical comparison of the results with the existing literature. The results show that in Peru there is currently no public policy on mental health applicable to workers in the Judicial Branch, and that the regulations that exist on the mental health of workers, despite being well structured and formulated, are not being adequately implemented, so that they are not currently guaranteed, nor are they ensuring the mental health of the Judicial Assistants in the Judicial Branch headquartered in Cusco in 2019, in this understanding, In the present work of investigation we are going to relate the public policies of mental health with the variable psychosocial risk of burnout, the same one that provides us with important results, since this one indicates that high indexes of Syndrome of Burnout exist (labor stress) in the Judicial assistants of the Judicial Power of the Cusco, which to the being considered a latent problem at the present time deserves the implementation of a public policy to counteract it and as well to prevent it

A New Method to Predict the Epidemiology of Fungal Keratitis by Monitoring the Sales Distribution of Antifungal Eye Drops in Brazil

Purpose: Fungi are a major cause of keratitis, although few medications are licensed for their treatment. The aim of this study is to observe the variation in commercialisation of antifungal eye drops, and to predict the seasonal distribution of fungal keratitis in Brazil. Methods: Data from a retrospective study of antifungal eye drops sales from the only pharmaceutical ophthalmologic laboratory, authorized to dispense them in Brazil (Opthalmos) were gathered. These data were correlated with geographic and seasonal distribution of fungal keratitis in Brazil between July 2002 and June 2008. Results: A total of 26,087 antifungal eye drop units were sold, with a mean of 2.3 per patient. There was significant variation in antifungal sales during the year (p < 0.01). A linear regression model displayed a significant association between reduced relative humidity and antifungal drug sales (R-2 = 0.17, p < 0.01). Conclusions: Antifungal eye drops sales suggest that there is a seasonal distribution of fungal keratitis. A possible interpretation is that the third quarter of the year (a period when the climate is drier), when agricultural activity is more intense in Brazil, suggests a correlation with a higher incidence of fungal keratitis. A similar model could be applied to other diseases, that are managed with unique, or few, and monitorable medications to predict epidemiological aspects.

The Big Listen: A community engagement consultation project. Actions, findings and reflections.

This paper discusses the results of an empirical research project called The Big Listen, which was carried out in the Northern area of Cambridge. It also presents personal reflections upon the execution of the project. My participation in The Big Listen was part of the work placement undertaken as a student of the MSc in Entrepreneurial Management at Anglia Ruskin University. The project was supported by an organisation called Future Business Centre, and the main objective was to find out the most significant social issues that affect the community within Northern Cambridge in order to take further action in the near future. The main vehicle to conduct the research study was questionnaires, which collected data from one hundred and eleven local residents. Coding and grounded theory were used to process the data, and results were presented in a written report. Findings indicate that, despite general agreement on the levels of satisfaction with the neighbourhoods, there are specific issues that need to be addressed such as the disengagement of young people and the feeling of isolation of the elderly, among others. Therefore, The Big Listen should be considered the first step of a long-term process that should keep investigating people's needs, in order to cater to what is currently missing or functioning inefficiently. The current findings may be useful to raise awareness of the situation and involve other stakeholders in the near future.

Interest in Japanese language, and consequently the number of students of the Japanese language is constantly growing, both globally, and on the national level. Pula University undergraduate study program of Japanese Language and Culture and graduate program of Japanese studies with Japanese Language Teaching module, the first accredited Japanese study programs in Croatia, open up the possibility of introducing the subject curriculum of the Japanese language in secondary schools in the Republic of Croatia. Creation of educated teaching staff and the publication of Japanese language textbooks in Croatian are important prerequisites for teaching in secondary schools, as the results of surveys in secondary schools and the number of students enrolled in Japanese study program indicate a great interest in this language. The aim of this paper is to develop a proposal for a subject curriculum of the Japanese language for secondary schools in the Republic of Croatia with content and structure based on an analysis of existing Japanese language curricula of foreign countries (the curricula of Germany, Serbia, Canada, and Ireland) and on the foreign language subject curricula of the Republic of Croatia (French, Serbian, Greek and Latin). The proposal presents parts of the elaborated learning outcomes and suggests selected topics and language content for two classes of secondary schools. In addition, cross‑subject topics correlated with Japanese language were also listed

A poética do luto: reflexão a partir do conceito de objeto transformacional

    No full text

Repeated annual application of glyphosate reduces the abundance and alters the community structure of soil culturable pseudomonads in a temperate grassland

Grasslands include some of the most endangered and less protected ecosystems on the planet, such as the Pampa of South America. In the Flooding Pampa where native grasslands were not replaced by crops, glyphosate is frequently sprayed in late-summer every year to increase winter forage productivity for cattle without knowing the impacts on both aboveground and belowground grassland genetic resources. Here, we evaluated the effect of this practice on the abundance and community structure of members of the genus Pseudomonas, one of the most diverse bacterial taxa of the plant rhizosphere broadly recognized by their benefits on plant growth and protection, and on soil remediation. In a field experiment, we analyzed the impact of a single application or of a repeated annual application during 4 consecutive years of the recommended dose of commercial glyphosate (Glacoxan®, 3 l ha-1 and 1440 g active ingredient ha-1). In a greenhouse experiment, we tested whether exposure of bare soil to either commercially formulated or pure glyphosate has a direct impact on the resident pseudomonas community in the absence of plants. In the field, we found that the repeated annual herbicide application resulted in a reduction in the abundance and a shift in the community structure of culturable pseudomonads, with evidence of an enrichment of glyphosate-metabolizing lineages. On the other hand, a single application of glyphosate to bare soil under greenhouse conditions did not affect the abundance nor the community structure of pseudomonads. Considering that these plant-beneficial bacteria are natural inhabitants of the rhizosphere and that their fitness is promoted by plant root exudates, the observed alterations are most likely associated with the drop in the vegetation cover directly provoked by the effect of glyphosate. For the first time, we report on the consequences that a reiterated glyphosate application has on a diverse soil reservoir of bacteria that contributes to crucial ecosystem functions in a temperate natural grassland under animal production. Our findings strengthen the notion that this agronomical practice has an unavoidable imprint on non-target microorganisms that are relevant components of the plant-soil feedbacks and that may be instrumental for ecosystem restoration. We conclude that it is necessary to develop sustainable management practices to avoid affecting key functional microorganisms and exploit their contributions to society.Fil: Lorch, Melani Gisele. Neurological and Inflammatory Manifestations in Sjögren’s Syndrome: The Role of the Kynurenine Metabolic Pathway

    No full text
For decades, neurological, psychological, and cognitive alterations, as well as other glandular manifestations (EGM), have been described and are being considered to be part of Sjögren’s syndrome (SS). Dry eye and dry mouth are major findings in SS. The lacrimal glands (LG), ocular surface (OS), and salivary glands (SG) are linked to the central nervous system (CNS) at the brainstem and hippocampus. Once compromised, these CNS sites may be responsible for autonomic and functional disturbances that are related to major and EGM in SS. Recent studies have confirmed that the kynurenine metabolic pathway (KP) can be stimulated by interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and other cytokines, activating indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) in SS. This pathway interferes with serotonergic and glutamatergic neurotransmission, mostly in the hippocampus and other structures of the CNS. Therefore, it is plausible that KP induces neurological manifestations and contributes to the discrepancy between symptoms and signs, including manifestations of hyperalgesia and depression in SS patients with weaker signs of sicca, for example. Observations from clinical studies in acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), graft-versus-host disease, and lupus, as well as from experimental studies, support this hypothesis. However, the obtained results for SS are controversial, as discussed in this study. Therapeutic strategies have been reexamined and new options designed and tested to regulate the KP. In the future, the confirmation and application of this concept may help to elucidate the mosaic of SS manifestations
