Background: Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) are the most common symptoms in women at all age groups worldwide. Their overall prevalence among women is 67%, and incidence increases with age. To assess the impact of LUTS comprehensively, it is therefore necessary to measure both the level of an individual’s symptoms and the extent to which they impair their life. This is particularly important when making a decision as to whether an individual is likely to require or benefit from treatment, and in evaluating the effectiveness of such treatment. Aim and objectives were to assess the subjective outcomes in women following treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms using King’s health questionnaire (KHQ).Methods: This study was carried out in 106 women presenting with LUTS at Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital as per the inclusion and exclusion criteria from November 2017 to June 2019. KHQ was used to assess subjective outcomes pre-treatment and 3 months post-treatment. Statistical analysis was done using the statistical software namely IBM statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) statistics version 22.Results: There was significant improvement in all the domains of KHQ indicating that patients had a better quality of life (QoL) post treatment. The mean total KHQ score decreased from a maximum of 40.14 at the pre-treatment time point to a minimum of 12.25 at the post treatment time point. This change was statistically significant. 90.6% of the participants had subjective improvement following treatment of LUTS. 9.4% of the participants reported no improvement in quality of life QoL following treatment of LUTS.Conclusions: This study shows the value of KHQ as an evaluation tool to determine the subjective outcome in women following treatment of LUTS. There was significant improvement in all the domains of KHQ between the two time points in our study indicating a better QoL following the treatment given with subjective improvement of 90.6%.

Background: Increased interest in romantic relationship (RR) is central to adolescents’ lives. RR has a significant influence on the emotional well-being of the adolescents and their future life. Objective: The present study aims at understanding the issues and concerns of adolescent girls in RR who come under care and protection issue. Methods: The study adopts a retrospective exploratory research design and analyzed the case reports maintained by psychiatric social workers. Reports elicit the information about the RR, marriage with the romantic partner, reason for run away with the marital partner, etc. Results: Majority of the adolescents run away with their romantic partner to get married and more than three-fourth of the adolescent girls believed that having sexual intercourse with their romantic partner would get their marriage approval and felt that marriage gave them sanction for the sexual relationship. Adolescents were worried about parent’s rejection of their romantic partner and had guilt feeling that they were not able to meet the expectations of parents nor they were able to fulfill the dreams of their parents. Most of the adolescents were also aware that their romantic involvement has been one of the reasons for academic decline; some have to drop out from the schools. Conclusion: It is important to understand the issues of adolescent girls in RR so that it would help us in designing interventions to facilitate developmental needs and for the healthy transition to adulthood

Bleeding disorders can occur due to one of these factors, either due to decrease in coagulation factor in blood or due to increase in bleeding factor. When patient complaining of bleeding disorder from anus (Guda), vagina (Yoni), is encountered in OPD’S, then it is difficult to differentiate whether the disease is Adhoga Raktapitta, Raktarsha, Raktatisara or Pradara. Acute Upper Gastro-intestinal bleeding or Haemorrhage is a common medical emergency and carries a significant mortality. Peptic ulcer disease remains the most common aetiology, but esophageal varices is also a important cause. Haematemesis refers to vomiting of fresh red blood where as Melena refers to the dark black tarry feces both are included in Upper gastro intestinal bleeding. In lower gastro intestinal bleeding we can include ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, internal hemorrhoids, colonic diverticulitis and irritable bowel syndrome etc. but raktapitta is a very broad term if we consider its third type i.e. Teeryakgata Raktapitta. Teeryakgata Raktapitta can almost be correlated to Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP)

Traffic analysis is a major issue faced in multi-hop wireless networks (MWN) in the case of privacy preservation. Network coding is essential in achieving greater capacity for any network and we extend this network coding for privacy preservation in multi-hop networks as it offers coding and mixing functions at intermediate nodes. Certain existing privacy preserving methods like onion routing can be employed here. Applying homomorphic encryption on Global Encoding Vectors(GEV’s), our method offers confidentiality and privacy preserving features. Only the sink has capability of decrypting the message content by inverting the GEV. Here, we focus on the privacy issue in order to prevent traffic analysis and flow tracing and achieve source anonymity in MWNs. Source anonymity refers to carrying the communication through the network maintaining the secrecy of the source node. Energy consumption when compared with the existing system was found to be reduced. Simulative evaluation by NS2 shows the efficiency of the system. Keywords: MWN, Privacy preservation, NS2, GEV

Single crystalline nano-sized multiferroic BiFeO3 (BFO) powders were synthesized through simple chemical co-precipitation method using polyethylene glycol (PEG) as capping agent. We obtained pure phase BiFeO3 powder by controlling pHand calcination temperature. From X-ray diffraction studies the nanoparticles were unambiguously identified to have a rhombohedrally distorted perovskite structure belonging to the space group of R3c. No secondary phases were detected. It indicates single phase structure. EDX spectra indicated the appearance of three elements Bi, Fe, O in 1:1:3. From the UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectrum, the absorption cut-off wavelength of the BFO sample is around 558nm corresponding to the energy band gap of 2.2 eV. The size (60-70 nm) and morphology of the nanoparticles have been analyzed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM).   Linear M−H behaviour and slight hysteresis at lower magnetic field is observed for BiFeO3 nanoparticles from Vibrating sample magnetometer studies. It indicates weak ferromagnetic behaviour at room temperature. From dielectric studies, the conductivity value is calculated from the relation s = L/RbA Sm-1 and it is around 7.2 x 10-9 S/m
