__Abstract__ Imagine you are sitting in a train and someone with another ethnic background than your own comes to sit opposite you. If asked to describe this person afterwards, would you remember this person’s ethnic background, or would it be other characteristics that come to mind first? If this person would behave rudely, for example by talking on the phone very loudly, would you judge this person differently than you would have done if he had belonged to your own ethnic group? And would you think differently about this person if you knew he was highly or low skilled

‘Sommigen zijn gelijker dan anderen’: Economisch egalitarisme en verzorgingsstaatschauvinisme in Nederland.

Laagopgeleiden zijn meer dan hoogopgeleiden geneigd om voorkeur voor economische herverdeling gepaard te laten gaan met afkeer van sociale voorzieningen ten bate van etnische minderheden. Waarom zijn zij van mening dat sommigen gelijker zijn dan anderen? In dit artikel wordt onderzocht of hun opmerkelijke combinatie van economisch egalitarisme en ‘verzorgingsstaatschauvinisme’ voortkomt uit gebrekkige politieke competentie, hun zwakke economische positie of hun geringe cultureel kapitaal en de culturele onzekerheid die daarmee gepaard gaat

Framework for Application Development for Children with Disabilities for the Android Platform

Import 26/06/2013Cílem této práce bylo vytvořit programový rámec neboli framework pro mobilní platformu Android, který bude součástí systému EduKin. Ten si bere za cíl vytvořit jednoduchou platformu pro výuku a rozvoj dětí se speciálními potřebami. Jejich rodičům a~učitelům by měl sloužit jako nástroj pro zadávání úkolů a sledování pokroků. Samotný framework si klade za cíl ulehčit vývoj aplikací pro systém EduKin na platformu Android. Jedná se tedy hlavně o komunikaci s cloudovou službou provozovanou na Windows Azure a API usnadňující práci s gesty a periferiemi daných zařízení. Dále je v práci popsáno vytvoření aplikací nad tímto frameworkem, které byly konzultovány přímo s~učitely a testovány s jejich žáky.Goal of this work was to create framework for Android platform, which will be part of system EduKin. This project is meant to create simple, but powerful platform for education and exercise of disabled children. It should serve as a tool for assigning tasks and monitoring progress. Framework itself should ease development of applications for EduKin system for Android platform. Communication with cloud service hosted on Windows Azure and API for easier work with gestures and peripherals are main goals. There is also described the creation of applications using this framework, which were consulted with teachers and tested by thiers students.460 - Katedra informatikyvýborn
