A pedagogical history of education : Ethical and aesthetic aspects of historiography in the cotext of education
W obliczu przemian zachodzących we współczesnej humanistyce spory o przynależność
dyscyplinarną historii wychowania i wyrazistość granic jej zainteresowań badawczych
tracą na znaczeniu. W obliczu konsekwencji licznych cultural turns zaawansowane strategie
badawcze stają się transdyscyplinarne. Charakterystycznym rysem humanistyki
oczekiwań etycznej i estetycznej egzystencji
Introcepcja w filozofii wychowania Bogdana Nawroczyńskiego – zarys potencjału kategorii
W niniejszym tekście autor próbuje ilustracyjnie naszkicować kilka dróg interpretacji, aby pokazać, że introcepcja to nie termin muzealny, lecz domagająca się nowych wykładni, poszerzeń i pogłębień, współczesna nader ważka idea.Udostępnienie publikacji Wydawnictwa Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego finansowane w ramach projektu „Doskonałość naukowa kluczem do doskonałości kształcenia”. Nawiedzanie słów, turbulencja i sekret edukacji. Czytając Adolphe’a Gesche’a
The Belgian theologian, the philosopher and the specialist in literature Adolphe Gesche (1928–2003) writes that it is necessary to frequent old words. He interprets traditional terms of the Christian message (e.g. the salvation, the eternity, the resurrection) and tries to wake them up, to make them clear, accessible to the contemporary sensitivity. One isn’t allowed to close the Christian address in the exclusive range of the confessio, it is an essential part of the contemporary culture. Adolphe Gesche is leading out the category of salvation from the more and more poorly understood religious idiom to wide waters of the humanistic discourse. A question about the salvation is one of the crucial human questions, and it is arising from longing for the secret of living above all, rather than from the fear and feeling the fault only. The revival of meanings in the Adolphe Gesche’s work shows the Christianity vital, dynamic, feeding on the affirmation of the freedom and the life, but not on resentment to the present time. Gesche doesn’t prove the existence of God and the eternal life. He is only persuading not to leave former questions and old replies rashly. Theology is a turbulence in the science. The faith is a means of conveying the powerful, peculiar discourse upon the man. It is setting the anthropological reflection in motion. In the theological perspective the man is a riddle, something elusive and incomprehensible stays inside him. The education has the important task: to help the man to raise his oddness, mystery, non-transparency, strangeness, without escaping into a simple and a seeming answers. Gesche’s achievements is an example of the opened, modern recognition which doesn’t fear the meetings – but it is drawing the power from the joints and tensions. Problem Thanatosa : bariery i pożytki andragogicznej refleksji o śmierci
Oto obraz doli ludzkiej” (Pascal, 1989, s. 177). Perspektywa niechybnego kresu wprowadza w życie nieusuwalny cień, bezlitośnie powracający problem[...
Przestrzeń wzruszonych. Edukacja liberalna a sfera publiczna (głos reanimacyjny)
The liberal education is ultimately about a freedom. It consists in considering the existential questions and revaluating initial social expectations. It is, in fact, a concern for humanity. Schools, and especially, universities, are the privileged places of such care, and they are important for individual development and the quality of the public sphere. Today, the tradition of liberal education has been destroyed. The climate of consumerism and irresponsible market education reforms hit the essence of education and condemn pupils, students and teachers to fate of a hostage of the environment and moment. However, one cannot give up on the society of empathetic people, therefore, the liberal education must be reanimated.W kształceniu ogólnym ostatecznie chodzi o wolność. Polega ono na rozważaniu egzystencjalnych pytań i przewartościowaniu wstępnych społecznych nastawień. To w istocie troska o człowieczeństwo. Klimat konsumeryzmu i nieodpowiedzialne rynkowe reformy edukacji uderzają w istotę wychowania i skazują uczniów, studentów i nauczycieli na los zakładników otoczenia i chwili. Nie wolno jednak zrezygnować ze społeczeństwa ludzi nieobojętnych, dlatego trzeba reanimować edukację liberalną
Wielkie bulwary kultury : pedagogiczne tropy wokół hierarchii i klasyków
In our world, information is the problem, not a solution. It is increasingly difficult to separate the important from the petty affairs, the creative, authentic contents and activities from the appearance of the advertised. The eminent American scholar George Steiner point out the necessity of the hierarchy, the canon, the cultural impact of the masters. Confrontation with the sophisticated creations of the human spirit is a kind of hygiene of attention and reaction. Maturation of personality requires justified overwhelming effect which can be possible in serious treatment of the classics. Without their stories, man is walled up in a vacuum. How could we pick the significant voices from the informational downpour? What may prove to be helpful—in addition to the clues in the work of Steiner—are such categories as Leszek Kolakowski’s the great philosopher, Leo Strauss and Allan Bloom’s Great Books, Hans-Georg Gadamer or Thomas Stearns Eliot’s classicisms, Tadeusz Sławek’s the master of the difficult speech, or Lech Witkowski’s symbolic authority. From a pedagogical point of view this is a sensitive issue. What is at stake is the choice between the opening and burying the human sensitivity and reflection
O emocji czytelniczej : pedagogiczny sens lektury
The text focuses on emotional movement as an inalienable component of reading. There is a ‘reading emotion’, which is a set of emotions that have a special meaning in the learning pro-cess. Thus, there is a fundamental difference between reading in a technical sense and read-ing in a pedagogical sense. The latter is an engaging practice that tests the sensitivity of the re-cipient. Pedagogical reading is a game for one’s life – for its orientation, sense, value and taste. That is why it can not do without delight, being intrigued, overwhelmed and jealousy
(Nie)koniecznie realizm : uwagi krytyczno-afirmatywne do perspektywy realistycznej w pedagogice
The “reality” is an important category of pedagogical thinking.
Education generates enormous layers of simulations today. But realism as an
epistemological stance – at least in some shots – it is not able to meet this category.
The text shows the dysfunctionality of disputes and reviews in the humanities
(including those in pedagogy) that are carried out according to the
dualistic division of the epistemological basis in philosophy between realism
and idealism. Paradoxically, it could dissuade the interest in reality as a crucial
category for education and pedagogical thought. The tradition of realism
is worth to read again and look for its potential, but it can’t mean building
a museum in the midst of debates in the humanities. You need to open realism
to a dialogue and an experience
