Impact of Field Experience on Pedagogical Competence of Economic Education Students

This study uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods. The technique used in data collection is questionnaire (questionnaire). Data analysis was done using simple regression test. The results of this study indicate the influence of the practice of field experience on the pedagogical potential of prospective students of the Economic Education Study Program of the Faculty of Economics, Gorontalo State University. The result of a simple linear regression equation is the Field Experience Practice of Pedagogical Competence, namely Ŷ = 12.627 + 0.81 X; the equation implies that if there is a change of one unit in the Field Experience Practice variable it will be followed by an average change of 0, 81 on the Pedagogical Compatibility variable. Furthermore, it can be concluded that the degree of relationship between X Variables (Field Experience Practices) and Y Variables (Pedagogic Compatibility) is 82.24%. Faktor Risiko Kematian Neonatal Dini di Rumah Sakit Bersalin

Infant mortality rate in Indonesia is still high. Fifty percent of the neonatal mortality occurred among low birth weight infants (LBWI) and neonatal mortality within 7 days of life accounted for 50% of total infant mortalities. This study was aimed to examine the extent of early neonatal mortality risk by antenatal care (ANC), Tetanus Toxoid (TT) immunization status of pregnant women, anemia during pregnancy, birth weight of neonatal, parity status, and hypothermia status.This study was a case control study with direct interview to respondents, conducted in the Maternity Hospital of Makassar with 40 cases and 120 controls. Samples were selected by purposive sam- pling. Study results indicated that risk factor of early neonatal mortality were ANC (p value = 0,000; odds ratio, OR = 7,33; CI 95% = 2,966 - 18,129), TT immunization status (p value = 0,000; OR = 19,205; CI 95% = 7,902 - 46,678), pregnancy anemia (p value = 0,000; OR = 32,818; CI 95% = 7,549 - 142,674), birth weight (p value = 0,000; OR = 122,212; CI 95% = 32,324 - 462,068), parity status (p value = 0,000; OR = 5,537; CI 95% = 2,029 - 15,111), asphyxia status (p value = 0,000; OR = 8,197; CI 95% = 0,452 - 2,745), whereas hypothermia status (p value = 0,815; OR = 1,114; 0,452 - 2,745) was not a risk factor. Results of logistic regression multivariate analysis indicated that infant\u27s birth weight was the most risk factor of early neonatal mortality (p value = 0,000). Penegakan Hukum Pidana Terhadap Pelaku Persetubuhan Pada Anak (Analisis Terhadap Putusan Mahkamah Agung Nomor: 1202 K/pid.sus/2009)

Law No. 23/2003 on Child Protection is initially intended to protect children and to ensure their safety by providing security for their rights. Nevertheless, sexual harassment toward children often occurs and indicates its escalation even though it is regarded as a felony. How about the regulation on sexual harassment according to the criminal law in Indonesia, how about the enforcement of criminal law in judex facti in the case of sexual harassment toward children under the Verdict No. 2417/Pid.B/2008-Mdn, in conjunction with the Verdict No. 38/Pid/2009/PT-Mdn, and how about the enforcement of criminal law in judex juris on sexual harassment toward children under the Verdict No. 1202K/Pid.Sus/2009.The research used juridical normative method with prescriptive analytic. Sexual harassment toward children is regulated in the Criminal Code, in Law No. 23/2003 on Child Protection, and in Law No. 23/2004 on the Abolition of Violence in Household. The enforcement of criminal law in judex facti under the Verdict No. 2417/Pid.B/2008-Mdn, in conjunction with the Verdict No. 38/Pid/2009/PT-Mdn is in line with law of criminal procedure. Handing down a verdict is based on the authentication theory according to law negatively and follows fault theory although the victim's fault is not considered. The enforcement of criminal law in judex juris under the Verdict No. 1202K/Pid.Sus/2009 is in line with law of criminal procedure and reflects the theory of the victim's fault

Attitudes and practices of postgraduate medical trainees towards research--a snapshot from Faisalabad

Objective: To assess the attitudes and practices of postgraduate medical trainees towards research.Methods: It was a self-administered questionnaire based cross-sectional survey conducted on 55 conveniently selected trainees in Allied Hospital, Faisalabad.Results: Only 11 trainees read journals monthly, seven had written an article for a journal, 51 regarded reading literature important, 39 intended to engage in future research and 37 said they received inappropriate research training. The major reasons cited for poor research activity in Pakistan were poor research training and awareness.CONCLUSION: Though the attitudes towards research were positive, they were deficient practically in terms of reading and writing literature. Development Chitosan-based Forward Osmosis Membranes for Emergency Drinking Water Supply

Development of forward osmosis (FO) membranes became one of the alternative methods for drinking water supply in an emergency. In this research, drinking water bags based on FO membrane have been developed using chitosan as the basic material of membrane. The chitosan membrane used for the manufacture of drinking water bags has a thickness of 0.043 mm, 30.3% porosity, tensile strength 28.83 kgf / mm2, swelling degree 43.5% and elongation of 7.16%. Drinking water bags are made with a combination of Polypropylene Plastic (PP) and aluminum foil with FO membrane inside. This drinking water bag can be applied for brackish water purification to be energy drinking water as one of the solutions for the drinking water supply in emergencies. FO process testing is done by using variation of sugar solution as the draw solution, that are glucose, fructose, sucrose and mixture. The concentration of applied draw solution is 1, 2 and 3M within 1 hour treatment. The highest water flux was obtained in 3M sucrose solution with a flux value of 5.25 L/m2hour. The results of drinking water quality parameters analysis in the form of pH, Total Dissolve Solid (TDS), salinity, conductivity, heavy metals and Escherichia coli (E. coli) contents showed that the FO water produc meets drinking water quality standards based on Indonesian government regulation of drinking water quality.
