The hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) is one of the rarest congenital heart diseases affecting infants. Out of 150 babies born, one baby suffers from congenital heart disease. Furthermore, nine percent out of those suffering from congenital heart disease specifically suffer from hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS). To this end, the Fontan operation which is a procedure to generate a harmonic blood flow in single functioning ventricle patients has been executed to palliate HLHS patients. In this operation, the inferior vena cava (IVC) and the superior vena cava (SVC), carrying the low-oxygenated blood returning from the lower and upper body back to the heart, are connected to the pulmonary arteries. Despite the fact that the Fontan operation has been executed for years, it is still not the effective palliation to heal HLHS patients since those who have undergone this procedure experience chronic diseases. In order to mitigate the risk associated with the Fontan procedure, an Injection Jet Shunt (IJS) is suggested to connect the aorta to the total cavopulmonary connection (TCPC). Thus, the purpose of utilizing the IJS is to add momentum to the pulmonary arteries. This research is concerning two models, baseline model and IJS model. Those two models represent a simplified Fontan physiology. The purpose of this research is to distinguish the effectiveness of using the IJS

Granulated blast furnace slag (GBS) is the main waste material produced by the iron industry. In order to activate as an effective pozzolanic material, GBS needs to be ground. Hence, adding to its value in cost and putting in to its production more energy, and as a result, more gas emissions to the environment. This study aimed on using GBS to be used as partial cement replacement for the production of foam concrete. GBS is used to partially replace cement at replacement levels of 30-70% by weight of cement in a 1300kg/m3 foam concrete mix using three different filler to binder ratios (1.0, 1.5 and 2.0). In order to have a better understanding about the difference in performance between GBS and the widely used enhanced ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS), GGBS was used in producing foam concrete using similar density, replacement levels and filler to binder ratios

Nowadays, the majority of human activities are carried out utilizing a variety of services or applications that rely on the local and Internet connectivity services provided by private or public networks. With the developments in Machine Learning and Software Defined Networking, traffic classification has become an essential study subject.  As a consequence of the segregation of control and data planes, Software Defined Networks have some security flaws. To cope with malicious code in SDN, certain operational security techniques have been devised. In this paper, a machine learning model, supervised, was utilized to identify normal and malicious traffic flows. While, normal traffic were generated using Internet traffic generator, malicious traffic were accomplish by Scapy and Python. The main network features of the OpenFlow flow table such as Packets count, bytes counts, packet rates, byte rate for forward and revers flows, were extracted. The combination of good ML classifier and dataset produced the greatest accuracy rate over 99% in DDoS attack detection, according to the results. Further to the main aim, the presented approach could be utilized to classify different traffic flows with the purpose of balance and priorities the important traffic

Purpose: A series of benzylidene-2-(4-bromophenoxy)-2-methyl propane hydrazides (1-10) were synthesized and assay them for their biofilm inhibition, antioxidant and mutagenic. Methods: All derivatives were prepared by condensation of various substituted benzaldehyde and acetophenones with 2-(4-bromorophenoxy)-2-methyl propane hydrazide, which was itself prepared by hydrazinolysis of ethyl-2-(4-bromophenoxy)-2-methyl propanoate and were characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR 13C NMR, mass spectrometry. They were screened for their in-vitro anti-oxidant, biofilm inhibition and mutagenicity by established methods. Results: Anti-oxidant results revealed that the electron donating group enhanced the scavenging ability of the compounds as seen in compounds 4b, 4h and 4i. In biofilm inhibition studies, all compounds were more active against Gram –ive bacterial strain when compared to gram +ive strain. The mutagenicity assay results indicate that the compound having chloro group substitution is mutagenic. Conclusion: The benzylidine compounds of 2-(4-bromophenoxy)-2-methyl hydrazide possessing electron donating substituents exhibit superior activities to the electron withdrawing group substituents

In general, health records include important information like the patient’s history, findings of examinations and assessments, diagnosis reports, documentation of consent, and treatment plans. Sharing this information has grown to be a challenge concerning data security, as it could result in compromising patient privacy. Therefore, the patient's information should not be misused or tampered with. In this paper, a full process of storing and retrieving medical records is proposed using a decentralized system through the integration of two emerging technologies: Blockchain and Inter-Planetary File System (IPFS). The system provides solutions for the major security concerns associated with medical files, including authentication and authorization, database breaches, data integrity of local and cloud storage, and data availability. The obtained results indicate a high level of safety by adding security layers such as confidentiality, authentication, authorization and access control, based on different factors. All these aspects contribute to reaching the aim of the proposed system, which is storing and retrieving medical records in a decentralized and safe manner
