    Analisis Struktur Pada Girder Overhead Crane Swl 30 Ton

    Overhead crane is a device used to move goods. Overhead cranes are very important during the production period, if there is a problem in the overhead crane, it can disrupt the production process. Therefore, load testing was conducted to determine the results of the girder deflection, whether large deflection is still within the limits that are allowed or not. This study to calculate the girder overhead crane occur in the loading variations, and adjust the properties of the material used. The amount of deflection is calculated using the equation Castigliano theorem. research on the loading of 28.7 tons, 30 tons, and 37.5 tons with theoretical calculations obtained deflection value calculation results is 6,060mm, 6,335mm, and 7.918 for the imposition of the middle girder (1/2span). 5,191mm, 5,410mm and 6,763mm for the loading side (1/3span). The simulation results are 5,649mm, 5,834mm, and 6.898 for the imposition of the middle girder (1/2span) and 4,986mm, 5,101mm and 6,032mm for the loading side (1/3span). The results obtained have great value below allowable deflection value is 23.75 mm

    Grazing Activity of the Sea Urchin Tripneustes Gratilla in Tropical Seagrass Beds of Buton Island, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia

    The research on grazing activity of a sea urchin (Tripneustes gratilla) in tropical seagrass beds wasconducted in Buton Island. The objectives of the research were to study the grazing activity such as foodpreference, grazing rate and grazing times of T. gratilla in tropical seagrass community. The results of theresearch showed that Thalassia hemprichii and Enhalus acoroides are primary food items of T. gratilla andcontained on average of 55 % and 31 % of the gut contents, respectively. The grazing rate of an individualranged from 9.6 - 14.1 g wet weight in 24 hours. The grazing times of T. gratilla were between 01.00 - 11.00a.m. and 15.00 - 21.00 p.m

    Characteristics of the Consumption Pattern of Household’s Small Businesses

    The aim of this study to determine the effect of the socio-economic and demography aspects which includes household heads’ education level, business status, and household size to household consumption pattern of small businesses. The study population was the entire household of small businesses in the province of South Sulawesi spread in 24 districts / cities, while the sample in this study were household small businesses located in urban areas with a total sample of 4,520 households. Analysis of data using Regression Logistic Model with a model of the natural logarithm. Simultaneous hypothesis testing using Chi Square Test, whereas partial hypothesis testing using Wald Test. Odd Ratio Test was used to determine the pattern of household consumption of small businesses. The results showed three variables such as household heads’ education level, business status and household size significant effect on household consumption patterns of urban small businesses simultaneously. However, only household heads’ education level and household size were significant effect on household consumption patterns of small businesses partially

    : The purposes of this study are: First, analyze and describe the characteristics of women workers who work at home industry in the province. Second, identify and analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and constraints in the empowerment of women workers in the province. Third, exploring the various issues that support and hinder the empowerment of home industry women workers, and Fourth, develop a model of empowerment of women workers in the home industry sector in DIY. This study uses a participatory approach with the main subject of the laborers working in the home industry sector. Focus studies on industrial centers spread across DIY craft. Result of this study are: First, the deepening of the few centers that exist in the DIY industry is dynamics and different characteristics. Second, empowerment of women workers of small industry include the social dimension, the social dimension of education and economy. Third, women's empowerment strategy should take into account the characteristics of workers such as identity, age and duration of workers' education and work in the centers that exist in the location of this study, and Fourth, to realize the empowerment of women workers needed better support the integration of local agencies and institutions of society (civil society), the private sector and educational institutions

    Tanah Gambut Berserat : Solusi Dan Permasalahannya Dalam Pembangunan Infrastruktur Yang Berwawasan Lingkungan

    Tanah gambut berserat merupakan tanah organik yang terbentuk akibat pelapukan tumbuh tumbuhan yang tergenang air di daerah tropis; akibatnya sebagian serat masih jelas terlihat pada struktur tanah gambut berserat. Tanah gambut berserat mempunyai sifat fisik dan teknis yang jelek, yaitu: kadar air dan angka pori yang tinggi, spesific gravity dan daya dukung yang rendah serta pemampatan yang besar dan tidak merata. Oleh sebab itu, banyak metode perbaikan tanah gambut berserat yang telah diterapkan di lapangan. Akan tetapi, metode yang telah diterapkan tersebut belum memperhatikan dampak lingkungan yang terjadi serta ketebalan lapisan tanah gambut berserat yang harus diperbaiki. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penting dilakukan analisa terhadap metode perbaikan yang telah diterapkan di lapangan sehingga pemilihan metode perbaikan tanah gambut yang dilakukan tepat dan berwawasan lingkungan. Metode perbaikan tanah gambut berserat yang telah diterapkan meliputi, pengelupasan lapisan gambut, pembebenan awan, galar kayu, cerucuk kayu dan stabilisasi seluruh lapisan gambut. Semua metode yang telah diterapkan tersebut (kecuali stabilisasi) ternyata mempunyai dampak yang cukup besar terhadap lingkungan serta hanya mampu dilaksanakan pada lapisan tanah gambut dengan ketebalan maksimal empat meter. Sedangkan metode stabilisasi lebih berwawasan lingkungan dan lebiih murah dibandingkan metode lainnya dan mampu diterapkan pada lapisan gambut dengan ketebalan sepuluh meter. Untuk tanah gambut yang memiliki ketebalan lebh dari sepuluh meter, penggunaan tiang pancang dengan lapisan anti korosif merupakan pilihan yang terbaik

    ABSTRACT The analysis of this research is about the influence of price, product quality, and brand image on purchasing decision. The study was conducted at Sri Mulyani Batik Store in Solo. Samples taken in the study were 100 respondents who became consumers of Batik Shop Sri Mulyani in Solo. Analytical methods used are multiple linear regression analysis, validity and reliability test. Based on the results of the analysis found it can be explained that the price, product quality, and brand image have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. In the model established price, product quality, and brand image able to explain the purchase decision variable by 30.6 %% and the remaining 69.4 %% still influenced by other variables

    Karakteristik Dan Aktivitas Antibakteri Edible Film Dari Refined Carageenan Dengan Penambahan Minyak Atsiri Lengkuas Merah (Alpinia Purpurata)

    Edible film merupakan jenis pengemas makanan yang berbentuk lembaran tipis atau film yang dapat dicerna oleh tubuh. Edible film yang dibuat dari refined carageenan mempunyai karakteristik yang rapuh. Oleh karena itu, ditambahkan minyak atsiri Lengkuas merah (A. purpurata) untuk memperbaiki karakteristik dari refined carrageenan, minyak atsiri Lengkuas merah (A. purpurata) juga sebagai antibakteri alami. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah refined carageenan dan minyak atsiri Lengkuas merah. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain percobaan Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan perbedaan konsentrasi minyak atsiri yaitu 0%, 0,1%, 0,5% dan 1% (b/v) dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Parameter pengujian adalah uji kuat tarik, laju transmisi uap air, persen pemanjangan dan uji antibakteri. Bakteri uji yang digunakan adalah Eschericia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus bakteri ini mewakili dari gram positif dan gram negatif. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisa ragam (ANOVA). Untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar perlakuan data diuji dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan konsentrasi berbeda nyata (p <0,05) terhadap uji kuat tarik, laju transmisi uap air, uji antibakteri tetapi tidak untuk uji persen pemanjangan. Edible film refined carageenan dengan perbedaan konsentrasi minyak atsiri terbaik pada konsentrasi 1% dengan kriteria mutu : Uji kuat tarik 28,39 MPa, uji laju trasmisi uap air 3,71 g/(m2.24Jam), Persen Pemanjangan 13,95%. Penambahan minyak atsiri 0,1% dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri E. coli dan S. aureus

    Mereduksi Oksidasi Ikan Manyung (Arius Thalassinus) Jambal Roti Dengan Implikasi Edible Film Selama Penyimpanan Suhu Ruang

    Oksidasi pada ikan jambal roti terjadi karena pengolahan maupun penyimpanan yang kurang tepat dan oksidasi dapat direduksi dengan adanya edible film. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implikasi edible film dan pengaruh lama penyimpanan suhu ruang terhadap laju oksidasi ikan jambal roti. Metode penelitian yang digunakan bersifat penelitian terapan dengan rancangan percobaan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan pola petak terbagi waktu (split plot in time). Sebagai faktor pertama (main plot) adalah lama waktu penyimpanan (minggu ke 0, 2, 4, 6, dan 8) dan faktor kedua (sub plot) adalah tanpa edible film (kontrol), edible film dan non edible film, masing-masing perlakuan diulang 3 kali. Tahap penelitian ini adalah pembuatan ikan jambal roti kemudian ikan jambal roti diberi perlakuan dilapisi edible film,non edible film dan tanpa edible film sebagai kontrol yang disimpan selama 8 minggu. Pengujian dilakukan pada minggu ke 0, 2, 4, 6, dan 8. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisa ragam (ANOVA) dan Uji Berbeda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lama penyimpanan berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05), sedangkan perlakuan maupun interaksi antara perlakuan dan lama penyimpanan tidak berpengaruh nyata (p>0,05) terhadap nilai FFA, PV, TBA, kadar air dan kadar Aw. Pada ikan jambal roti yang dilapisi edible film proses oksidasi lebih rendah dibanding ikan jambal roti tanpa edible film dan penggunaan non edible film merupakan perlakuan terbaik untuk mereduksi oksigen pada ikan jambal roti berdasarkan nilai FFA, PV, TBA, kadar air dan kadar Aw. “Jambal roti” oxidation occured because inappropiate storage and processing and oxidation. It can be retarded by edible film. The purpose of this research were to figure out the implication of edible film and to know the effect of duration in storing “jambal roti” at room temperature on the oxidation rate. The research method was applied research with split plot in time design. The first factor as the main plot of this research was room storage time duration (0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks) and the second factor as the sub plot was different coatings with edible film, non edible film, and without edible film (control). This experimental process were making “jambal roti” after that “jambal roti” treated by coating with edible film, non edible film, without edible film as controlling and it stored approximately 8 weeks. The research had done every two weeks (0, 2, 4, 6 dan 8). Data analysis were analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Honestly Significant Different (HSD). The results showed that the storage time was significantly different (p<0,05), however all treatments and the interaction among them and storage time was not significantly different (p>0,05) to FFA, PV, TBA, moisture content, and Aw content. Jambal roti coated with edible film has low oxidation than those without edible film and non edible film. Non edible film is the best treatment to retard oxidation of “jambal roti” based on FFA, PV, TBA, moisture content and Aw content
