Extracting the Distribution Amplitudes of the rho meson from the Color Glass Condensate
We extract the leading twist-2 and subleading twist-3 Distribution Amplitudes
(DAs) of the rho meson using the HERA data on diffractive rho photoproduction.
We do so using several Colour Glass Condensate (CGC) inspired and a Regge
inspired dipole models. We find that our extracted twist-2 DA is not much model
dependent and is consistent with QCD Sum Rules and lattice predictions. The
extracted twist-3 DA is more model dependent but is still consistent with the
Sum Rules prediction.Comment: 21 pages, 10 figures, 3 tables. Section 6 revised, figures 8 and 9

Search for electromagnetic properties of the neutrinos at the LHC
Exclusive production of neutrinos via photon-photon fusion provides an
excellent opportunity to probe electromagnetic properties of the neutrinos at
the LHC. We explore the potential of processes pp-> p gamma gamma p -> p nu
anti-nu p and pp -> p gamma gamma p -> p nu anti-nu Z p to probe
neutrino-photon and neutrino-two photon couplings. We show that these reactions
provide more than seven orders of magnitude improvement in neutrino-two photon
couplings compared to LEP limits.Comment: 11 pages, 4 tables, New backgrounds have been adde
A MAG-Landau interpolating gauge for Yang-Mills theory on the lattice
In this work it is presented a functional for the fixing of a gauge that interpolates between the maximally Abelian gauge (MAG) and Landau gauge, for the case of SU(2) lattice gauge theory. the continuum limit of its derivative is analyzed for consistency check, and a simple algorithm is proposed for the gauge fixing, with a preliminary numerical analysis of its convergence.Universidade Federal de São Paulo, BR-09972270 Diadema, SP, BrazilUniversidade Federal de São Paulo, BR-09972270 Diadema, SP, BrazilWeb of Scienc
Dipole rescattering and the nuclear structure function
In the framework of the dipole model, we study the effects of the dipole multiple scatterings in a nuclear target and compute the nuclear structure function. We compare different unitarization schemes and confront our results with the E665 data.Universidade Federal de São Paulo, Dept Ciencias Exatas & Terra, São Paulo, SP, BrazilUniversidade Federal de São Paulo, Dept Ciencias Exatas & Terra, São Paulo, SP, BrazilWeb of Scienc
Non-linear QCD dynamics in two-photon interactions at high energies
Assuming that the diploe - dipole cross section can be related with the dipole - proton cross section, we calculate the total gamma gamma, gamma*gamma* cross-sections and the real photon structure function F-2(gamma)(x,Q(2)) using the recent solution of the BK equation with running coupling constant.Universidade Federal de São Paulo, Dept Ciencias Exatas & Terra, BR-09972270 Diadema, SP, BrazilUniversidade Federal de São Paulo, Dept Ciencias Exatas & Terra, BR-09972270 Diadema, SP, BrazilWeb of Scienc
Study of the Homogeneous Bethe-Salpeter Equation in the 2+1 Minkowski Space
The problem of a relativistic bound-state system consisting of two scalar bosons interacting through the exchange of another scalar boson, in 2+1 space-time dimensions, has been studied. The Bethe-Salpeter equation (BSE) was solved by adopting the Nakanishi integral representation (NIR) and the Light-Front projection. The NIR allows us to solve the BSE in Minkowski space, which is a big and important challenge, since most of non-perturbative calculations are done in Euclidean space, e.g. Lattice and Schwinger-Dyson calculations. We have in this work adopted an interaction kernel containing the ladder and cross-ladder exchanges. In order to check that the NIR is also a good representation in 2+1, the coupling constants and Wick-rotated amplitudes have been computed and compared with calculations performed in Euclidean space. Very good agreement between the calculations performed in the Minkowski and Euclidean spaces has been found. This is an important consistence test that allows Minkowski calculations with the Nakanishi representation in 2+1 dimensions. This relativistic approach will allow us to perform applications in condensed matter problems in a near future.Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq)Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP)Univ Cruzeiro Sul, LFTC, BR-01506000 Sao Paulo, BrazilITA, BR-12228900 Sao Jose Dos Campos, SP, BrazilUniv Estadual Paulista UNESP, Inst Fis Teor, BR-01156970 Sao Paulo, BrazilUniv Estadual Paulista UNESP, Inst Fis Teor, BR-01156970 Sao Paulo, BrazilFAPESP: 2014/19094-
Chiral Symmetry Restoration for Quark Matter with a Chiral Chemical Potential
In this work we study the chiral transition in quark matter at finite temperature and in the presence of a chiral imbalance in the Nambu Jona-Lasinio model. We use the Medium Separation Scheme (MSS) to rewrite divergent momentum integrals that appear in the model in such way that we can conciliate results obtained with the model and recent lattice results for the chiral transition.Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq)Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP)Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ)Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)Univ Fed Santa Maria, Dept Fis, BR-97105900 Santa Maria, RS, BrazilUniv Estadual Paulista UNESP, Inst Fis Teor, BR-01049010 Sao Paulo, SP, BrazilUniv Estadual Paulista UNESP, Inst Fis Teor, BR-01049010 Sao Paulo, SP, BrazilCNPq: 305894/2009-9CNPq: 475110/2013-7CNPq: 232766/2014-2CNPq: 308828/2013-5CNPq: 303377/2013-5FAPESP: 2013/01907-0FAPERJ: E - 26 / 201.424/201
