Dissociation of multiple hydrogen molecules on the three-dimensional aluminium cluster: theoretical study
Theoretical Study of Hydrogenated Tetrahedral Aluminum Clusters
We report on the structures of aluminum hydrides derived from a tetrahedral
aluminum Al4 cluster using ab initio quantum chemical calculation. Our
calculation of binding energies of the aluminum hydrides reveals that stability
of these hydrides increases as more hydrogen atoms are adsorbed, while
stability of Al-H bonds decreases. We also analyze and discuss the chemical
bonds of those clusters by using recently developed method based on the
electronic stress tensor.Comment: 15 pages, 7 figures, published online, International Journal of

Cationic Polymerization of 1,2-Epoxypropane by an Acid Exchanged Montmorillonite Clay in the Presence of Ethylene Glycol
Abstract: The polymerization of propylene oxide (PO) catalysed by maghnite-H+ (mag-H+) in the presence of ethylene glycol was investigated. Mag-H+ is a montmorillonite silicate sheet clay was prepared through a straight forward proton exchange process. It was found that the cationic polymerization of PO was initiated by mag-H+ at 20 °C both in bulk and in solution. The effect of the amount of mag-H+ and solvent was studied. These results indicated the cationic nature of the polymerization A possible initiation pathway, via the transfer of protons from mag-H+ to the monomer, is proposed
THE ROLE OF PHYSIOTHERAPIST IN SPORT
This article aims to explain the role of the physiotherapist in sport in the care of acute sports injuries and optimization of movement stereotypes. These two roles are completely different and have their own characteristics. The health aspect is one that is neglected in professional sports. Physiotherapist´s role in the preparation of athletes this may change. However, it is necessary to make a compromise and besides quality also to ensure freedom of movement. To understand the importance of kinesiotherapy in sports training is required to inform the periodization of the annual training cycle in the sector of sports. This training cycle is divided into four parts. There are preparatory, pre-competitive, competitive and transitional period. The most important part of the annual training cycle is a preparatory period. Within it athlete undergoes greatest training block. The aim is to gradually develop all fitness, technical and psychological requirements. The role of physiotherapist in acute injury is to accelerate healing processes in the body of an athlete. In this situation conflict can occur as a sportsman and his coach due to different perceptions of health and competitive relations. Due to excessive motivation and desire to compete may athlete and his trainer want to rush rehabilitation. There is a place for the education of the current status and ongoing healing processes in order to avoid impairment, or more serious consequences. Physiotherapist should work in order to support self healing process. If the physiotherapist wants to change movement patterns is needed to know the periodization of training cycle. A good time for inclusion of kinesiotherapy is in the transitional period
Natural variation in immune responses to neonatal mycobacterium bovis bacillus calmette-guerin (BCG) vaccination in a cohort of Gambian infants
Background There is a need for new vaccines for tuberculosis (TB) that protect against adult pulmonary disease in regions where BCG is not effective. However, BCG could remain integral to TB control programmes because neonatal BCG protects against disseminated forms of childhood TB and many new vaccines rely on BCG to prime immunity or are recombinant strains of BCG. Interferon-gamma (IFN-) is required for immunity to mycobacteria and used as a marker of immunity when new vaccines are tested. Although BCG is widely given to neonates IFN- responses to BCG in this age group are poorly described. Characterisation of IFN- responses to BCG is required for interpretation of vaccine immunogenicity study data where BCG is part of the vaccination strategy. Methodology/Principal Findings 236 healthy Gambian babies were vaccinated with M. bovis BCG at birth. IFN-, interleukin (IL)-5 and IL-13 responses to purified protein derivative (PPD), killed Mycobacterium tuberculosis (KMTB), M. tuberculosis short term culture filtrate (STCF) and M. bovis BCG antigen 85 complex (Ag85) were measured in a whole blood assay two months after vaccination. Cytokine responses varied up to 10 log-fold within this population. The majority of infants (89-98% depending on the antigen) made IFN- responses and there was significant correlation between IFN- responses to the different mycobacterial antigens (Spearman’s coefficient ranged from 0.340 to 0.675, p=10-6-10-22). IL-13 and IL-5 responses were generally low and there were more non-responders (33-75%) for these cytokines. Nonetheless, significant correlations were observed for IL-13 and IL-5 responses to different mycobacterial antigens Conclusions/Significance Cytokine responses to mycobacterial antigens in BCG-vaccinated infants are heterogeneous and there is significant inter-individual variation. Further studies in large populations of infants are required to identify the factors that determine variation in IFN- responses
