Exclusive photoproduction of quarkonium in proton-nucleus collisions at energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider
In this work we investigate the coherent photoproduction of psi(1S), psi(2S)
and Upsilon (1S) states in the proton-nucleus collisions in the LHC energies.
Predictions for the rapidity distributions are presented using the color dipole
formalism and including saturation effects that are expected to be relevant at
high energies. Calculations are done at the energy 5.02 TeV and also for the
next LHC run at 8.8 TeV in proton-lead mode. Discussion is performed on the

Diffractive dissociation in proton-nucleus collisions at collider energies
The cross section for the nuclear diffractive dissociation in proton-lead
collisions at the LHC is estimated. Based on the current theoretical
uncertainties for the single (target) diffactive cross section in hadron-hadron
reactions one obtains sigma_SD(5.02 TeV) = 19.67 \pm 5.41 mb and sigma_SD(8.8
TeV) = 18.76 \pm 5.77 mb, respectively. The invariant mass M_X for the reaction
pPb -> pX is also analyzed. Discussion is performed on the main theoretical

Light vector meson photoproduction in hadron-hadron and nucleus-nucleus collisions at the energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider
In this work we analyse the theoretical uncertainties on the predictions for
the photoproduction of light vector mesons in coherent pp, pA and AA collisions
at the LHC energies using the color dipole approach. In particular, we present
our predictions for the rapidity distribution for rh0 and phi photoproduction
and perform an analysis on the uncertainties associated to the choice of vector
meson wavefunctionand the phenomenological models for the dipole cross section.
Comparison is done with the recent ALICE analysis on coherent production of rho

Investigating the inclusive transverse spectra in high-energy collisions in the context of geometric scaling framework
The presence of geometric scaling within the spectra of produced
hadrons at high energy collisions using small- -factorization is
investigated. It is proposed a phenomenological parameterization for the
unintegrated gluon distribution in the scaling range which reproduces the
features of the differential cross section both in the saturated and dilute
perturbative QCD regimes. As the saturation scale acts as an effective
regulator of the infrared region (IR), the extension of the model to quantities
usually associated to soft physics is studied. The approach is applied to
compute the average and the rapidity distribution of produced gluons at

The N-Vortex Problem on a Symmetric Ellipsoid: A Perturbation Approach
We consider the N-vortex problem on a ellipsoid of revolution. Applying
standard techniques of classical perturbation theory we construct a sequence of
conformal transformations from the ellipsoid into the complex plane. Using
these transformations the equations of motion for the N-vortex problem on the
ellipsoid are written as a formal series on the eccentricity of the ellipsoid's
generating ellipse. First order equations are obtained explicitly. We show
numerically that the truncated first order system for the three-vortices system
on the symmetric ellipsoid is non-integrable.Comment: 14 pages, 1 figur
GResilient index to assess the greenness and resilience of the automotive supply chain
Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to suggest an Index entitled GResilient Index to assess the greenness and resilience of the automotive companies and corresponding supply chain. Design/methodology/approach: An integrated assessment model is proposed based on Green and Resilient practices. These practices are weighted according to their importance to the automotive supply chain competitiveness. The Delphi technique is used to obtain the weights for the focused supply chain paradigms and corresponding practices. The model is then tested using a case study approach in the automotive supply chain. Findings: The case study results confirmed the applicability of this Index in a real-world supply chain. The results show that the Resilient supply chain management paradigm is the one considered as the one that more contributes for the automotive supply chain competitiveness. Research limitations/implications: The proposed Index was developed in the automotive sector context therefore it could not be adjusted to a different one. Future research could consider other aggregation methods for the Index construction. Practical implications: Supply chain participants will be able to evaluate the performance of their companies or supply chain in terms of Green and Resilient paradigms. Also, the Index can be effectively employed for functional benchmarking among competing companies and supply chains.Green; resilient; supply chain management; index; automotive industry
Aspects of the Unitarized Soft Multipomeron Approach in DIS and Diffraction
We study in detail the main features of the unitarized Regge model (CFKS),
recently proposed to describe the small- domain. It takes into account a
two-component description with two types of unitarized contributions: one is
the multiple pomeron exchange contribution, interacting with the large dipole
configurations, and the other one consists of a unitarized dipole cross
section, describing the interaction with the small size dipoles. We analyze the
ratio between soft and hard pieces as a function of the virtuality, and also
compare the resulting dipole cross section to that from the saturation model.
Diffraction dissociation is also considered, showing the scaling violations in
diffractive DIS and estimating the corresponding logarithmic slope.Comment: 14 pages, 5 postscript figures. Version to be published in Eur. Phys.
