Review of the main approaches to the use of models with time-varying parameters in the macroeconomic modeling

    No full text
Evaluation of models with time-varying parameters is widely used in macroeconomic research carried out over the past 20 years. Following the pioneering work in this area, various authors have begun to apply such models to analyze the time-varying behavior of such macroeconomic parameters such as volatility, long-term economic growth, trend inflation, persistence of inflation and oil prices, as well as the dependence of the main macroeconomic variables on oil prices oil. This review provides a methodological basis for the use of time-varying models. time parameters as one of the important macroeconomic modeling tools and forecasting, which allows you to take into account temporal changes in the relationships between different variables

A clinical case of SYNGAP1, с2214_2217delTGAG de novo gene mutations in a girl with epilepsy, mental retardation, autism, and movement disorders

The practical introduction of the latest genetic techniques could provide the basis for comorbidity of genetic epilepsies and behavioral disorders with cognitive impairments. This article describes a case of SNGAP1 mutation in an 8-year-old female patient having symptomatic epilepsy with epileptic eyelid myoclonia and atypical absences, atypical autism with mental retardation. A detailed clinical discussion deals with neurological and mental states, logopedic characteristics, and psychological examination findings, as well as video-EEG monitoring data

Novel bis-ammonium salts of pyridoxine: Synthesis and antimicrobial properties

Ā© 2020 by the authors. A series of 108 novel quaternary bis-ammonium pyridoxine derivatives carrying various substituents at the quaternary nitrogenā€™s and acetal carbon was synthesized. Thirteen compounds exhibited antibacterial and antifungal activity (minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) 0.25ā€“16 Āµg/mL) comparable or superior than miramistin, benzalkonium chloride, and chlorhexidine. A strong correlation between the lipophilicity and antibacterial activity was found. The most active compounds had logP values in the range of 1ā€“3, while compounds with logP > 6 and logP < 0 were almost inactive. All active compounds demonstrated cytotoxicity comparable with miramistin and chlorhexidine on HEK-293 cells and were three-fold less toxic when compared to benzalkonium chloride. The antibacterial activity of leading compound 5c12 on biofilm-embedded Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli or Pseudomonas aeruginosa was comparable or even higher than that of the benzalkonium chloride. In vivo 5c12 was considerably less toxic (LD50 1705 mg/kg) than benzalkonium chloride, miramistine, and chlorhexidine at oral administration on CD-1 mice. An aqueous solution of 5c12 (0.2%) was shown to be comparable to reference drugs efficiency on the ratā€™s skin model. The molecular target of 5c12 seems to be a cellular membrane as other quaternary ammonium salts. The obtained results make the described quaternary bis-ammonium pyridoxine derivatives promising and lead molecules in the development of the new antiseptics with a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity
