    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi, komitmen organisasi, dan komunikasi terhadap kinerja pegawai Badan Pertanahan Nasional Kabupaten Malang. Populasi di dalam penelitian ini adalah 38 pegawai tetap. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah teknik sampling jenuh adapun data yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner terhadap responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu regresi linier berganda menggunakan SPSS. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa secara simultan motivasi, komitmen organisasi, dan komunikasi berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. adapun hasil secara parsial motivasi kerja berpengaruh secara signifikan, sedangkan komitmen organisasi dan komunikasi tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini perlu adanya peningkatan dalam diri pegawai untuk memiliki kemauan agar mengusahakan kepentingan organisasi tercapai dan pegawai maupaun pimpinan harus melakukan komunikasi dengan menyampaikan tugas kepada pegawai dengan bahasa yang baik dan mudah dimengerti agar tidak terjadi miss communication

    Optimization of carbon and energy utilization through differential translational efficiency.

    Control of translation is vital to all species. Here we employ a multi-omics approach to decipher condition-dependent translational regulation in the model acetogen Clostridium ljungdahlii. Integration of data from cells grown autotrophically or heterotrophically revealed that pathways critical to carbon and energy metabolism are under strong translational regulation. Major pathways involved in carbon and energy metabolism are not only differentially transcribed and translated, but their translational efficiencies are differentially elevated in response to resource availability under different growth conditions. We show that translational efficiency is not static and that it changes dynamically in response to mRNA expression levels. mRNAs harboring optimized 5'-untranslated region and coding region features, have higher translational efficiencies and are significantly enriched in genes encoding carbon and energy metabolism. In contrast, mRNAs enriched in housekeeping functions harbor sub-optimal features and have lower translational efficiencies. We propose that regulation of translational efficiency is crucial for effectively controlling resource allocation in energy-deprived microorganisms

    Relative space-time asymmetries in pion and nucleon production in non-central nucleus-nucleus collisions at high energies

    We propose to use the ratio of the pion-proton correlation functions evaluated under different conditions to study the relative space-time asymmetries in pion and proton emission (pion and nucleon source relative shifts) in high energy heavy ion collision. We address the question of the non-central collisions, where the sources can be shifted spatially both in the longitudinal and in the transverse directions in the reaction plane.     Analyzing the Check-In Behavior of Visitors through Machine Learning Model by Mining Social Network's Big Data.

    The current article paper is aimed at assessing and comparing the seasonal check-in behavior of individuals in Shanghai, China, using location-based social network (LBSN) data and a variety of spatiotemporal analytic techniques. The article demonstrates the uses of location-based social network's data by analyzing the trends in check-ins throughout a three-year term for health purpose. We obtained the geolocation data from Sina Weibo, one of the biggest renowned Chinese microblogs (Weibo). The composed data is converted to geographic information system (GIS) type and assessed using temporal statistical analysis and spatial statistical analysis using kernel density estimation (KDE) assessment. We have applied various algorithms and trained machine learning models and finally satisfied with sequential model results because the accuracy we got was leading amongst others. The location cataloguing is accomplished via the use of facts about the characteristics of physical places. The findings demonstrate that visitors' spatial operations are more intense than residents' spatial operations, notably in downtown. However, locals also visited outlying regions, and tourists' temporal behaviors vary significantly while citizens' movements exhibit a more steady stable behavior. These findings may be used in destination management, metro planning, and the creation of digital cities

    Substantial near-infrared radiation-driven photosynthesis of chlorophyll f-containing cyanobacteria in a natural habitat

Far-red absorbing chlorophylls are constitutively present as chlorophyll (Chl) d in the cyanobacterium Acaryochloris marina, or dynamically expressed by synthesis of Chl f, red-shifted phycobiliproteins and minor amounts of Chl d via far-red light photoacclimation in a range of cyanobacteria, which enables them to use near-infrared-radiation (NIR) for oxygenic photosynthesis. While the biochemistry and molecular physiology of Chl f-containing cyanobacteria has been unraveled in culture studies, their ecological significance remains unexplored and no data on their in situ activity exist. With a novel combination of hyperspectral imaging, confocal laser scanning microscopy, and nanoparticle-based O2 imaging, we demonstrate substantial NIR-driven oxygenic photosynthesis by endolithic, Chl f-containing cyanobacteria within natural beachrock biofilms that are widespread on (sub)tropical coastlines. This indicates an important role of NIR-driven oxygenic photosynthesis in primary production of endolithic and other shaded habitats

    Search for the QCD Critical Point: Higher Moments of Net-proton Multiplicity Distributions

    Higher moments of event-by-event net-proton multiplicity distributions have been applied to search for the QCD critical point. Model results are used to provide a baseline for this search. The measured moment products, κσ2\kappa\sigma^2 and SσS\sigma of net-proton distributions, which are directly connected to the thermodynamical baryon number susceptibility ratio in Lattice QCD and Hadron Resonance Gas (HRG) model, are compared to the transport and thermal model results. We argue that a non-monotonic dependence of κσ2\kappa \sigma^2 and SσS \sigma as a function of beam energy can be used to search for the QCD critical point.Comment: 7 pages, 3 figures.     Navigating Digital Transformation in Retail: A Resource Orchestration Analysis Towards Achieving Online-to-Offline Channel Integration Strategy

    The rise of e-commerce market exchanges has disrupted the traditional Brick and Mortar (B&M) retailing sector, compelling B&M retailers to adopt strategic responses to sustain their market positions. Online-to-Offline (O2O) retailing has emerged as a promising approach to harness the potential synergies between online and offline channels. However, scholarly inquiry into the process of implementing O2O retailing remains limited. To address the research gap, this study presents a resource orchestration analysis of O2O implementation, using a successful case study from a leading B&M in Asia. Drawing from the theoretical lens of resource orchestration, the study uncovers key processes encompassing structuring, bundling, and leveraging stages. These processes involve structuring unified IT and cross-channel management resources, bundling these resources to build O2O integration and O2O differentiation capabilities, and leveraging these capabilities to deliver O2O value. By shedding light on the intricate mechanisms involved in O2O implementation, this research contributes to advancing the theoretical understanding and managerial practice of O2O retailing strategies

    Prevalence of Intestinal Protozoan Parasites Infection among Primary School Pupils in Bosso Local Government Area, Niger State, Nigeria

    The study was carried out to determine the prevalence of Entamoeba histolytica and Giardia lamblia among primary school pupils in four communities of Bosso Local Government Area in Niger State, Nigeria. Stool samples from 250 pupils were collected and examined for Entamoeba histolytica and Giardia lamblia using formol ether concentration technique. Out of the 250 samples analyzed, 115 (46%) for either Entamoeba histolytica or Giardia lamblia or both. Ninety (36.0%) subjects were positive for Giardia lamblia while 46 (18.4%) subjects had Entamoeba histolytica. Single species infection was seen in 78 (67.8%) of the infected pupils whereas 47 (40.9%) were infected with both parasites. The age group (9-10) years had the highest rates of infection of 14 (21.5%) and 37 (56.9%) for G. Lamblia and E. histolytica respectively. Males had the highest rate of infection (53.5%) compared to the females with (46.3%). Poverty, ignorance and poor environmental sanitation were factors found to be associated with the high prevalence rates recorded.Keywords: Protozoan, Parasites, Infections, Pupils, Bosso, Niger State, Nigeria

    Bone turnover markers in HIV-infected patients before starting antiretroviral therapy

    Purpose: Bone turnover markers (BTM) - aminoterminal propeptide of type 1 collagen (P1NP) and C-terminal telopeptide of type 1 collagen (β-CTX) - are related to bone density and fracture risk. A high prevalence of osteopenia/osteoporosis and hypovitaminosis D has been reported in HIV patients, however there are few data about BTM in this population. Our aim was to analyse the prevalence of elevated serum levels of BTM in HIV patients before starting antiretroviral therapy (ART), and related factors. Methods: Cross-sectional study of a series of HIV-patients who started ART during June/11–June/12 in our hospital. Patients with presence of diseases or treatments known to affect bone metabolism were excluded. Epidemiological, clinical, and immunovirological data in addition to serum fasting levels of glucose, lipid profile, calcium, phosphate, alkaline phosphatase, 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (25OHD), parathyroid hormone (PTH), P1NP, and β-CTX were collected. Definitions: hypovitaminosis D if 25OHD<30 ng/ml, vitamin D deficiency if 25OHD<20 ng/ml; elevated levels of BTM if β-CTX (ng/ml) >0.64 (men<70 years),>0.85 (men >70 years),>0.58 (pre-menopause women), >0.99 (post-menopause women), or P1NP (ng/mL)>69.4 (men <60 years), >71.1 (men>60 years), >55.7 (pre-menopause women), >61.2 (post-menopause women). Results: 47 patients were included, 91.5% men, median age 37.1 years (30.0–44.3), and 93.6% sexual transmission of HIV (34 HMX, 10 HTX). Median time since the diagnosis of HIV was 3.4 months (1.4–31.7); there were 7 (14.9%) Aids cases, median CD4 count was 277/mm3 (155–433), and HIV-VL 4.8 log10 (4.1–5.2). Median serum 25OHD was 29 µg/L (21.9–41.1), with a prevalence of hypovitaminosis of 52.2%, and deficiency of 17.4%. PTH was in range in all cases. Median serum P1NP was 33.3 ng/mL (24.5–52.5) and β-CTX 0.25 ng/mL (0.20–0.45); five (11.4%) patients presented high levels of BTM: 4 men, median age 37.1 years, median CD4 count 247/mm3, median HIV-VL 5.18 log10, and one with hypovitaminosis D. Elevated BTM were related with no clinical, analytical, immunovirological parameters nor with serum levels of 25OHD nor PTH. Conclusions: The prevalence of elevated BTM was high in this series of HIV-patients, mostly young men, with short time of HIV infection and with no immunovirologic control.     Sequestration of macroalgal carbon: the elephant in the blue carbon room

    Macroalgae form the most extensive and productive benthic marine vegetated habitats globally but their inclusion in Blue Carbon (BC) strategies remains controversial. We review the arguments offered to reject or include macroalgae in the BC framework, and identify the challenges that have precluded macroalgae from being incorporated so far. Evidence that macroalgae support significant carbon burial is compelling. The carbon they supply to sediment stocks in angiosperm BC habitats is already included in current assessments, so that macroalgae are de facto recognized as important donors of BC. The key challenges are (i) documenting macroalgal carbon sequestered beyond BC habitat, (ii) tracing it back to source habitats, and (iii) showing that management actions at the habitat lead to increased sequestration at the sink site. These challenges apply equally to carbon exported from BC coastal habitats. Because of the large carbon sink they support, incorporation of macroalgae into BC accounting and actions is an imperative. This requires a paradigm shift in accounting procedures as well as developing methods to enable the capacity to trace carbon from donor to sink habitats in the ocean
