Synthesis of Amino Acids by Cathodic Cleavage of Phenylhydrazones of a-Keto Acids

Electrochemical synthesis of amino acids by reduction of phenylhydrazones of the folowing a-ketoacids: pyruvic, a-ketovaleric, a-ketoglutaric and a-ketooctane acid was studied. The corresponding a-amino acids were obtained in 44--55~/o yield using controlled potential electrolysis on mercury pool electrode in 0.5 M HCl aqueous ethanol solution. Uber die polarographische Untersuchung der Cumarine

Eine Anzahl von Cumarinen, besonders Derivate von 4-Hydroxycumarin, wurden polarographisch untersucht. Dabei wurde festgestellt, dass alle Cumarine die lokalisierte n-Elektronen zwischen der C = C-Doppelbindung in Stellung 3,4 des Cuma rinsystems haben, polarographisch aktiv sind. Dagegen zeigen diejenigen Cumarinderivate bei welchen diese Doppelbindung fehlt, oder bei welchen die n -Elektronen delokalisiert sind, keine Reduktion zwischen -1,5 V und -1,7 V, die fi.ir diese Bindung charakteristisch ist

Qualitative and Quantitative Aspects of Using Eshtblausalz B to Visualise 4-Hydroxycoumarin and Some of its Biologically Active Derivatives on Thin-Layer Chromatographs

Qualitative and quantitative aspects of the analysis of 4-hy..:. droxycoumarin and some of its biologically active derivatives (dicumarol, TromexanR, warfatin, 3-(co-bromoacetyl)-4-hydroxycoumarin and 3-(co-bromoacetyl)-4-hydroxy-7-bromocoumarin) were studied. The coumarin derivatives can be sharply separated by TLC on .silica gel HF254 using Eshtblausalz B for detection. Azo compounds of coumarine derivatives show that a linear relationship exists between spot-eluate absorbances and the amonts applied from 10 to 30 μg. The new rapid and sensitive method was obtained for qualitative and quantitative analysis of 4-hydroxy- . coumarin derivatives

Učinak jednokratne i vlšekratne aplikacije Δ 9-tetrahidrokanabinola na nivo s·hidroksitriptamina, noradrenalina, dopamina i triptofana u mozgu štakora

Single or repeated administration of Δ 9-tetrahydrocannabinol (30 mg/kg i.p.) increased 5-hydroxytryptamine levels in rats\u27 brain, but did not affect dopamine or noradrenaline levels. Brain and blood tryptophan levels were raised only after a single¬-dose regimen. The primary effect of Δ 9-tetrahydrocannabinol may be a mobilization of blood tryptophan by displacement from its albumin-bound depots, due to a high affinity of the drug for plasma albumin.Δ 9-tetrahidrokanabinol, apliciran jednokratno i višekratno (30 mg/kg, ip.) povećava nivo moždanog 5-hidroksitriptamina u štakora, ali ne i nivoe dopamina i noradrenalina. Nivo triptofana u mozgu i krvi povećava se samo nakon jednokratnog davanja. Primarni efekat Δ 9-tetrahidrokanabinola može da bude mobilizacija krvnog triptofana vezanog za albumin, što je posljedica velikog afiniteta Δ 9-tetrahidrokanabinola prema albuminu plazme

Es wurde festgestellt, dass die Cumarine in gepufferten wassrig-i:ithanolischen Liisungen eine fiir die C = C- Doppelbindung in 3,4-Stellung charakteristische polarographische Stufe besitzen. Diese Stufe verschwindet wenn sie durch Hydrieru:i.g gesi:ittigt wird, oder wenn die rc-Elektronen di eser Doppelbindung delokalisiert werden. Das ist der Fall z. B. bei 4-Hydroxycumarinderivaten die in 3-Stellung eine substituierte Seitenkette besitzen welche es ermiiglicht, dass sich das System der konjugierten Doppelbindungen in die Seitenkette verbreitet und dadurch die Aromatisierung des Laktonrings hervorruft

Die in dieser Arbeit unte rsuchten Az om ethine stellten wir durch Konden sation des Pyrrol-2-Dldehyds mit Anilin, p -Toluid in, p-Anisidin, p-Phenylendiamin, p-Aminosalicylsaure, Sulfadiaz in, Isoniazid bzw. mit p-Aminoazotoluol dar.
