    Masalah penyakit jantung adalah masalah penyakit negara maju atau negara industri. Lebih tetapnya, penyakit dimana perilaku masyarakat negara modern, dengan pola hidup modern, berada. Karena itu penyakit jantung tidak saja monopoli Negara maju, tetapi juga dinegara sedang berkembang yang menunjukkan kecenderungan peningkatannya sesuai dengan kecenderungan modernisasi masyarakatnya. Menurut WHO (2011) bahwa penyakit jantung merupakan penyebab kematian nomor satu diseluruh dunia dan 60% dari seluruh penyebab kematian penyakit jantung adalah penyakit jantung dan sedikitnya 17,5 juta atau setara dengan 30,0% kematian diseluruh dunia di sebabkan oleh penyakit jantung. Diperkirakan tahun 2030 bahwa 23,6 jiwa orang didunia akan meninggal karena penyakit jantung. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada periode April – Mei 2011 yang bersifat deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan keluarga tentang pemberian diet pada penederita penyakit jantung di Dusun XI Desa Kolam Kec. Percut Sei Tuan. Teknik penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling yaitu 67 responden hasil penelitian ini bahwa mayoritas berpengetahuan cukup sebanyak 50 responden (74,63%) dan minoritas berpengetahuan kurang sebanyak 4 responden (5,98%). Berdasarkan umur mayoritas berumur 36-40 tahun sebanyak 15 orang (22,38%) dan minoritas berumur 46-50 tahun sebanyak 2 orang (2,98%). Berdasarkan pendidikan mayoritas SD sebanyak 23 responden (34,32%) dan minoritas SMP sebayak 22 responden (32,83). Berdasarkan sumber informasi mayoritas media cetak berjumlah 24 responden (35,82%) dan minoritas tenaga kesehatan 10 responden (14,92%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka perlu disarankan kepada tenaga kesehatan untuk lebih memberikan informasi tentang tindakan pemberian diet jantung

    Penyakit Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) merupakan penyakit menular yang di  sebabkan oleh virus dengue dan di tularkan melalui gigitan nyamuk Aedes aegypti. WHO menunjukkan mungkin terdapat lebih 2,5 miliar kasus penyakit Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) yang terkena beresiko tinggi terdapat di seluruh dunia setiap tahun, di mana tahun 2006 sampai 2008 dilaporkarkan kasus Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) sebanyak 3500- 7800 kasus dengan Case Fatality Rate 39% setiap tahunnnya. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah ada hubungan Pengetahuan Ibu Dengan Sikap Dalam Pencegahan Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) pada Balita. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasi analitik, yang dilakukan di Jl. Karya lingkungan XIV medan pada bulan april sampai dengan mei 2011. Jumlah sampel 32 orang dari seluruh jumlah populasi yang akan diteliti. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pengisian lembar kuesioner. Analisa data dengan menggunakan uji dhisquare analisys dan diolah dengan statistik dengan menggunakan SPSS(Standart Pengolahan Sistem Statistik) didapat hasil p<0,05 bahwa ada hubungan pengetahuan dengan sikap. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan tingkat Pengetahuan responden berpengetahuan buruk berjumlah 0 orang (2,8%) dengan sikap responden dalam pencegahan penyakit dengue haemorrhagic fever juga cukup berjumlah 5 (4,4%) responden, sedangkan responden dengan sikap dalam pencegahan dengue haemorrhagic fever berjumlah 5 orang (2,8%), dan responden yang berpengetahuan cukup berjumlah 8 orang  (7,4%) dengan sikap responden dalam pencegahan penyakit dengue haemorrhagic fever buruk juga berjumlah 5 orang (4,8%) dengan sikap juga baik 4 orang (4,4%), dan responden yang berpengetahuan baik berjumlah 10 orang (10,0%), dengan sikap responden dalam pencegahan penyakit dengue haemorrhagic fever juga baik berjumlah 5 orang (2,8%),  dengan sikap dalam pencegahan penyakit dengue haemorrhagic fever buruk 0 (2,8%) dan dengan sikap dalam pencegahan penyakit dengue haemorrhagic fever cukup 5 orang (44,4%). Maka untuk itu disarankan kepada ibu yang mempunyai Balita agar dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pencegahan penyakit dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) baik dari segi preventif, kuratif, rehabilitatif

    Effects of Credit on Economic Growth, Unemployment and Poverty

    Effect of credit on economic growth, unemployment and poverty provides evidence from Indonesia on the role of banks credit for promoting economic growth and reducing both unemployment and poverty. To document the link between banks credit and economic growth, we estimate a VAR model and variance decompositions of annual GDP per capita growth rates to examine what proxy measures of banks credit are most important in accounting for economic growth over time and how much they contribute to explaining economic growth. We also estimate an ECM to document the relationship between banks credit to both unemployment and poverty. This paper revealed bi-direction causality between banks credit and economic growth. Banks credit promotes economic growth and economic growth affects credit depth and financial development. Furthermore, banks credit is a growth accelerating factor on Indonesian economic growth. Banks credit is an endogenous growth and a good predictor on Indonesian economy.Our estimation model explained that credit allocated by banks increases business escalation to the real sectors then promotes economic growth, decreases unemployment rate through increasing in labor demanded, increases income and then decrease poverty. This overall transmission mechanism just occurred through presence of banks credit by increasing money supply to the real sectors, promotes growth and social welfare

    Mahogany seeds contain bioactive compounds such as alkaloids, steroids, saponins, and flavonoids. Flavonoids are useful for reducing fat deposits and cholesterol levels in the blood vessels, while saponins are useful for preventing fat accumulation, improving blood sugar levels, helping increase the immune system. Many people experience unhealthy lifestyle changes, caused by excessive consumption of high-cholesterol foods, irregular eating patterns, and low consumption of fruits and vegetables, which have the potential to cause obesity/obesity. In this study, using mahogany fruit as a weight loss tea (diet). This study applies research with a quantitative approach. The type of research used is experimental. The sample measurement uses the BMI (Body Mass Index) system where to measure the body mass index it can be measured by weight (Kilograms) and height (meters) of the sample. In this study, a sample of UIN ArRaniry students aged around 21 years was used. The results of consuming diet tea for 3 consecutive weeks experienced a weight loss of approximately 1 kilogram per week. Where diet tea is drunk 2 times a day, in the morning and evening. Diet tea is brewed by taking ½ tablespoon of diet tea and brewing it with 200 ml of warm water. The results showed that mahogany seeds processed into tea were effective in losing weight after being consumed for 3 weeks in a row with a decrease of approximately 1 kilogram per day. week, because the mahogany seeds contain bioactive compounds such as alkaloids, steroids, saponins, and flavonoids.     The purpose of this study is to compare interest in entrepreneurship and working as an employee during the Covid-19 pandemic. The population is all alumni of the Faculty of Economics, Unika Santo Thomas, Medan. A sample of 96 respondents, data collection techniques using questionnaires, documentation and interviews, data analysis techniques referring to Miles & Huberman (1992: 16) with three flow of activities that occur simultaneously, namely: data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that interest in entrepreneurship during the Covid-19 pandemic among alumni of the Faculty of Economics, Unika Santo Thomas, Medan, was higher, namely 56 respondents compared to interest in working as an employee during the Covid-19 pandemic, which was 40 respondents. The reason respondents chose to be interested in entrepreneurship is because during the Covid-19 pandemic, many companies have reduced the number of employees or terminated their employment relationship. With entrepreneurship, they will open up new job opportunities for people affected by Covid-19. And they also want to be free to manage their own work. The reason respondents chose interest in working as an employee is because by working as an employee they will get a steady income every month. Even though during the Covid-19 pandemic, many companies or agencies have reduced the number of employees, the respondents will remain firm in their stance and will be more active in preparing themselves to compete in the world of work. To conduct a comparative analysis of interest in entrepreneurship and working as an employee during the COVID-19 pandemic, an in-depth evaluation should be carried out by adding an indicator of questions about the reasons for alumni to become entrepreneurs and work as employees and increase the number of respondents observed

    Analisis konjoin merupakan salah satu teknik analisis multivariat yang digunakan untuk mengetahui preperensi/ ketertarikan konsumen terhadap suatu produk baik berupa barang atau jasa dengan cara mengkombinasikan jumlah nilai dari masing-masing atribut yang terpisah. Preferensi diperoleh dengan mengurutkan kombinasi-kombinasi yang tersedia berdasarkan tingkat kesukaan relatif. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan analisis konjoin sangat membantu penelitian dalam pemasaran terutama untuk penting tidaknya suatu atribut beserta taraf dalam suatu produk atau jasa. Hasil pengolahan analisis konjoin pada penelitian ini mendapatkan informasi bahwa faktor utama Mahasiswa FMIPA USU Strata-1 mengharapkan sabun mandi dengan warna hijau, manfaat untuk melindungi kulit dari kuman, aroma Wewangian kesehatan, harga relatif lebih murah, bentuk cair dan jenis non antiseptic

    Ramp Rates Effect in Ramp Method for Partial Discharge Inception Voltage Measurement in Mineral Oil

    AbstractIEC 61294 regulates about Partial Discharge Inception Voltage (PDIV) measurement procedure in liquid insulation using the ramp method with speed 1kV/s. This PDIV test method is assumed to give the PDIV test results higher than it should be. This paper aims to study the feasibility of the using ramp rates lower than 1kV/s on PDIV measurement in mineral oil. Experiments were performed using test circuit complied with IEC 60270 standard. The needle–plane electrode configuration with a gap distance of 50mm was used. Tests were carried out with the mineral oil, Nynas 4000X, with moisture content less than 10ppm. Test voltage with ramp rate 0.25kV/s, 0.5kV/s, 1kV/s and 2kV/s were applied to the test vessel to examine PDIV value respectively. In addition to PDIV level measurement, Partial Discharge (PD) activities were also measured for 1minute at each PDIV level. Moreover, the combine test method which is combination of ramp method and step method was applied to the test electrode system. The test results show that the usage of lower ramp rate in ramp method for PDIV level measurement produced lower PDIV level. The PDIV levels and PD activities obtained in the test using the ramp rate of 0.25kV/s and 0.5kV/s decreased insignificantly compared to the test results acquired from the test with ramp rate 1kV/s. Test result comparison illustrates that the combine method is the better alternative method compared with reducing ramp rate for PDIV measurement in mineral oil

    Bentuk profil speed bump yang tidak sesuai standar bisa membahayakan pengguna jalan yang melintas. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pembuatan bentuk profil speed bump dari material concrete foam yang diperkuat serat TKKS agar diperoleh desain struktur speed bump yang lebih baik dan lebih aman sesuai standar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat pengaruh ketinggian impak jatuh bebas terhadap Speed Bump dari bahan Concrete Foam diperkuat serat tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS. Manfaat penelitian ini untuk memanfaatkan serta mengolah tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS) hasil pabrik kelapa sawit agar dapat bernilai ekonomis. Pembuatan speed bump menggunakan mortar; semen=26 %, pasir=38%, air=28%. Lalu ditambahkan bahan pengembang=5% dan penguat matriks berupa serat TKKS=3%.Dimensi speed bump 200 × 400 × 150 mm. Kesimpulan penelitian ini; dari uji impak jatuh bebas terhadap speed bump yaitu , Pada ketinggian 1 m posisi speed bump datar tidak terjadi keretakan, Pada ketinggian 3 m posisi speed bump datar terjadi keretakan .     Research of design of solar dryer with evacuated tube collector for drying coffee bean has been done. This research is done through the stage of formulation, design, circuit and testing tools using coffee as material to be dried.Test results of a solar dryer designed then is being used for drying coffee bean (moisture content from 52.80% to 12.30%), with forced convection system which the air speed are varied of 2-6 m/sec. During the drying process, the average weather conditions are in the range 143-855 Watt / m2, ambient temperature of 28-36 °C. The air temperature in the collector are 85-192 °C and the temperature in the drying chamber are 35-78 °C. The results showed that air drying velocity is directly proportional to the drying rate and collector efficiency but inversely to drying time and specific energy consumption (SEC)
