Patriottismi in conflitto. Guerre di memorie e rifondazione dell'italianità (1914-1945)

Nell\u2019Italia del trentennio 1914-1945, il campo di tensione costituito dalla memoria del passato recente, dal Risorgimento alla Grande guerra, si configura come un osservatorio peculiare: esso consente non soltanto di far luce sul dibattito intorno alla storia nazionale, ma anche di evidenziare le trasformazioni che investono il tema del patriottismo e dell\u2019italianit\ue0, il loro impatto sulle identit\ue0 delle singole culture politiche e sui diversi tragitti generazionali. Su quel terreno, reso sdrucciolevole dai mutamenti prodotti dalla guerra e poi soprattutto dall\u2019affermazione del fascismo, si giocano partite cruciali e dalle numerose implicazioni, che si polarizzano infine sulla coppia oppositiva fascismo/antifascismo. Il saggio prende in esame questi processi complessi e controversi, discutendo le pi\uf9 recenti interpretazioni storiografiche in materia

L'articolo analizza la relazione tra l'intervento italiano nella Grande guerra e la tradizione del Risorgimento. Alla conclusione della Triplice Alleanza, l'irredentismo, la "liberazione" di Trento e Trieste, la memoria del Risorgimento diventarono il fulcro della legittimazione della guerra nazionale. Si tratt\uf2 di una propaganda che si svilupp\uf2 fino alla conclusione del conflitto. Tra le molte fonti disponibili per esplorare questo tema, le scritture dei soldati (diari e lettere) sono un osservatorio di grande interesse al fine di verificare i livelli di penetrazione e i limiti di questa ambiziosa operazione

The debate about the Risorgimento has always been played out in the historiographical battlefield, as well as in the public arena. The article weaves together these two contexts by focussing on the genre of biography in all its manifestations. The first section looks at the exemplary case of Anita Garibaldi, from the various stages of her life to the images and representations of this heroine after her death. The second part analyses the great biographical dictionaries of the 20th century which allow us to place the Risorgimento tradition within the context of Liberal, then Fascist and finally Republican Italy

The sites of study were San Adolfo (39˚ 23’ S, 62˚ 22’ W, 22 m.a.s.l.) and Nueva Roma (38˚ 29’ S, 62˚ 39’ W, 70 m.a.s.l.). Soybeans were planted on Jan 4 (San Adolfo) and Nov 27 (Nueva Roma) in 0.75 m wide rows and at 400000 pl/ha during two consecutive growing seasons. Energy balance and evapotranspiration (ET) were estimated during the reproductive stages from full bloom (R2) to full maturity (R8). In Nueva Roma ET or latent heat flux (LE) was estimated using the Bowen ratio-energy balance (BREB) (LEb) and the Priestley -Taylor equation (LEPT) with αPT=1.26, 48 h after irrigation or rain. Both methods could be used to predict ET since the ratio LEb/LEPT ranged between 0.83 and 0.95. The observed Bowen ratio values were almost 0 during and after rain and increased to approximately 0.45 several days after rain. In San Adolfo LE was estimating using the Priestley -Taylor equation. For both sites the regression analysis for comparison available energy (Rn-G) and LE using BREB or LEPT indicated that, approximately 90% of the available energy was consumed by LE without detecting significative advective conditions
