    Neutrosophic Adaptive LSB and Deep Learning Hybrid Framework for ECG Signal Classification

    This paper proposes a novel hybrid framework for ECG signal classification and privacy preservation. The framework includes two phases: the first phase uses LSTM+CNN with attention gate for ECG classification, while the second phase utilizes adaptive least signal bit with neutrosophic for hiding important data during transmission. The proposed framework converts data into three sets of degrees (true, false, and intermediate) using neutrosophic and passes them to an embedding layer. In the sender part, the framework hides important data in ECG signal as true and false degrees, using the intermediate set as a shared dynamic key between sender and receiver. The receiver can reconstruct the important data using the shared dynamic key or the intermediate set. The proposed framework is more robust against attacks compared to other methods

    Effect of police training during the confinement period on some cardiopulmonary and hematological parameters in Khartoum, Sudan

    Background: Pulmonary function tests (PFT) serve as a tool of health assessment and as a predictor of occupational fitness. Police officers must develop and maintain high levels of physical fitness for physical demanding tasks they perform. The training program starts with confinement of five to eight weeks according to the trainee. Previously it has been shown that the police students have better lung functions values compared to their civilian colleagues. In this study the effect of the confinement training on pulmonary function tests was investigated.Methods: Eighty one policemen trainee were randomly selected from a new batch in the faculty of police sciences and Law, the National Ribat University, Khartoum, Sudan at their starting confinement period. Subjects were medically fit with no history of Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma or use of any long term medications. Pulmonary function tests (FVC, FEV1 and PEFR) were performed using a micro-plus spirometer. Blood pressure, pulse rate, and hemoglobin were measured. All these were repeated at the end of the confinement.Results: The age of participants ranged from 24 to 26 years. FVC, FEV1 and PEFR significantly increased after the confinement period. The blood pressure and the pulse significantly decreased. The weight of the participants decreased after the confinement but Hb significantly slightly increased.Conclusions: Regular police training during the confinement improved the pulmonary and cardiovascular reserve function

    The stick studied here dates back to the new kingdom, 18th dynasty, King Tutankhamen (1337-1347 B.C). More than 130 sticks and staves were founded in the tomb of Tutankhamen; many of the forms were clearly for ritual while others showed signs of use. Here we will will shed light on one of the ritual stick, where materials of decoration and conservation processes were investigated. Visual assessment, Optical Microscopy (OM), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) were used in this study to elucidate the components of the stick, deterioration aspects and identify the previous conservation materials.     Synthesis and cytotoxicity evaluation of thiazole derivatives obtained from 2-amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzo[b]thiophene-3-carbonitrile

    Reactivity of 2-amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzo[b]thiophene-3-carbonitrile towards thioglycolic acid resulted in thiazole derivative 1. The latter reacted with different chemical reagents to give thiazole, pyrano[2,3-d]thiazole and thiazolo[4,5-d]thiazole derivatives. Cytotoxicity effects of the newly synthesized products against six cancer cell lines, namely, human gastric cancer (NUGC), human colon cancer (DLD-1), human liver cancer (HA22T and HEPG-2), human breast cancer (MCF) and nasopharyngeal carcinoma (HONE-1) as well as against a normal fibroblast cell (WI-38) were evaluated. The study showed that the 4,5,6,7 tetrahydrobenzo[b]thiophene derivatives 6a, 7, 8a,b, 9b and 10b,c were the most active compounds. Their potencies were attributed to the presence of the electron withdrawing groups

    Antenna Selection With Beam Squint Compensation for Integrated Sensing and Communications

    Next-generation wireless networks strive for higher communication rates, ultra-low latency, seamless connectivity, and high-resolution sensing capabilities. To meet these demands, terahertz (THz)-band signal processing is envisioned as a key technology offering wide bandwidth and sub-millimeter wavelength. Furthermore, THz integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) paradigm has emerged jointly access spectrum and reduced hardware costs through a unified platform. To address the challenges in THz propagation, THz-ISAC systems employ extremely large antenna arrays to improve the beamforming gain for communications with high data rates and sensing with high resolution. However, the cost and power consumption of implementing fully digital beamformers are prohibitive. While hybrid analog/digital beamforming can be a potential solution, the use of subcarrier-independent analog beamformers leads to the beam-squint phenomenon where different subcarriers observe distinct directions because of adopting the same analog beamformer across all subcarriers. In this paper, we develop a sparse array architecture for THz-ISAC with hybrid beamforming to provide a cost-effective solution. We analyze the antenna selection problem under beam-squint influence and introduce a manifold optimization approach for hybrid beamforming design. To reduce computational and memory costs, we propose novel algorithms leveraging grouped subarrays, quantized performance metrics, and sequential optimization. These approaches yield a significant reduction in the number of possible subarray configurations, which enables us to devise a neural network with classification model to accurately perform antenna selection.Comment: 14pages10figures, submitted to IEE

    First trimester spontaneous rupture of an unscarred uterus in a multiparous woman: a case report

    The rupture of an unscarred uterine is a rare life-threatening event that usually occurs late in pregnancy or during labor. Spontaneous uterine rupture, as in our case, is extremely uncommon and rarely diagnosed before laparotomy. Herein, we present a case of spontaneous uterine rupture in a 32 year old multiparous woman with no previous uterine surgery. The patient presented with acute abdomen at 11 weeks of gestation. Preoperative diagnosis based on clinical and ultra-sonographic findings was ruptured ectopic pregnancy. However, emergency laparotomy showed uterine rupture with extrusion of a dead fetus within intact amniotic sac in the abdomen. The defect was repaired in layers and the patient was discharged in a good condition after five days of hospital stay. Multiparity is a risk factor for spontaneous uterine rupture even in the first trimester. It should be kept in mind in any pregnant multiparous woman presenting with acute abdomen and shock. The absence of vaginal spotting and lack of history of uterine surgery give a false sense of security

    Shear Performance of GFRP Reinforced Concrete Beams with Seawater and Chopped Fiber

    This paper reports an experimental study on the behavior and shear strength of concrete beams reinforced with longitudinal GFRP bars mixed with sea water. In order to evaluate how much concrete contributes to shear resistance, seven beams were tested in bending. Similar in size and concrete strength, the beams were longitudinally reinforced with glass fiber-reinforced polymer bars; however, they did not even have shear reinforcement. The beams, which measured 3,100 mm in length, 400 mm in depth, and 200 mm in width, were conducted and tested up to failure. The test variables were longitudinal reinforcement ratios (1.0, 1.4, and 2.0%), chopped fiber content (0, 0.5, 2, and 3 kg/m3), and mixing water type (freshwater and seawater). The test findings showed that increasing the reinforcement ratio increased the neutral-axis depth and allowed the formation of more closely spaced fractures while decreasing the loss of flexural stiffness after cracking. By increasing the area of concrete in compression, this in turn enhances the contribution of aggregate interlock as well as the contribution of uncracked concrete.     Predictive values of ultrasound-based scoring system in morbidly adherent placenta for high risk group

    Background: The objective of the present study was to find out the predictive values of an ultrasound-based scoring system in diagnosis of morbidly adherent placenta (MAP) for high risk group. Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Faculty of Medicine, South Valley University, Egypt.Methods: 63 full term pregnant women (≥37 weeks of gestation) with high risk of morbidly adherent placenta underwent elective cesarean section. Placental assessment by 2 D ultrasound based on ultrasound scoring system in morbidly adherent placenta, these data were recorded for further comparison with intraoperative data for degree of placental adherence.Results: Incidence of MAP was 7.93% (4.76% had a focal form and 3.17% had a complete form of accreta). As regarding to scoring system, 82.5 of cases had a low risk (< 5), 9.5% had a moderate risk (6-7) and 7.93% had a high risk (8-12) of development of morbidly adherent placenta with p value <0.0001. The sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values of the US scoring system for morbidly adherent placenta were (92.3%, 94.1%, 87.453% and 98.2%) respectively.Conclusions: Ultrasound based scoring system had a high predictive value (sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values) in diagnosis of morbidly adherent placenta for pregnant women have any risk factors for developing MAP
