Parametric Study on the Compact G Shaped Monopole Antenna for 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz Application
AbstractāThis paper describes the design of a compact printed microstrip G-shaped monopole
antenna for wireless local area network (WLAN application). The antenna has G-shaped resonating
element which is designed for the two resonance frequencies at 2.4GHz and 5.2GHz respectively, which
are the operating bands for WLAN application. The antenna is constructed by a non-conductor backed
G-shaped strip with a mircostrip feed line. The dual band performance can be easily achieved by finetuning
the length of the resonant path. The antenna is designed and simulated by using Computer
Simulation Technology (CST) Studio simulation software. The parametric study with five different
ground lengths had been done using parametric sweep. The the measurement results will be compared
and analyzed with the simulated antenna
Impulsive Fermi magnon-phonon resonance in antiferromagnetic
Understanding spin-lattice interactions in antiferromagnets is one of the
most fundamental issues at the core of the recently emerging and booming fields
of antiferromagnetic spintronics and magnonics. Recently, coherent nonlinear
spin-lattice coupling was discovered in an antiferromagnet which opened the
possibility to control the nonlinear coupling strength and thus showing a novel
pathway to coherently control magnon-phonon dynamics. Here, utilizing intense
narrow band terahertz (THz) pulses and tunable magnetic fields up to 7 T, we
experimentally realize the conditions of the Fermi magnon-phonon resonance in
antiferromagnetic . These conditions imply that both the spin and the
lattice anharmonicities harvest energy transfer between the subsystems, if the
magnon eigenfrequency is twice lower than the frequency of the phonon
. Performing THz pump-infrared probe spectroscopy in conjunction
with simulations, we explore the coupled magnon-phonon dynamics in the vicinity
of the Fermi-resonance and reveal the corresponding fingerprints of an
impulsive THz-induced response. This study focuses on the role of nonlinearity
in spin-lattice interactions, providing insights into the control of coherent
magnon-phonon energy exchange
Design and performance of a power generating manual treadmill
Treadmills are one of the most popular training equipment in the gym and at home. The working principle of treadmills is by moving the belt with the human knee bending, which creates mechanical energy to turn the belt. A gear or pulley and belt system connects to the generator along the axel line of the rolling bars. The power generated by the DC generator is stored in a battery pack and could be used to charge phones or other equipment. It has been found that treadmills can provide an efficiency of 95% when the DC motor is used and 92% when the AC motor is used. The main objective of this study is to design and fabricate a powder-generating manual treadmill and to analyze the performance of the system under different operation conditions

Rescue left bundle branch area pacing in coronary venous lead failure or nonresponse to biventricular pacing : results from International LBBAP Collaborative Study Group
Rescue left bundle branch area pacing in coronary venous lead failure or nonresponse to biventricular pacing : results from International LBBAP Collaborative Study Group
BACKGROUND: Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) using biventricular pacing (BVP) is effective in patients with heart failure, left bundle branch block (LBBB) and reduced left ventricular function. Left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) has been reported as an alternative option for CRT. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to assess the feasibility and outcomes of LBBAP in patients who failed conventional BVP due to coronary venous lead complications or were non-responders to BVP. METHODS: At 16 international centers, LBBAP was attempted in patients with conventional CRT indication who failed BVP due to either, coronary venous (CV) lead complications, or lack of therapeutic response to BVP. We are reporting heart failure hospitalizations (HFH) and death, echocardiographic outcomes, procedural data, pacing parameters, and lead complications including CV lead failure. RESULTS: LBBAP was successfully performed in 200 patients (CV lead failures-156; non-responders-44): age 68Ā±11years, female-35%, LBBB-55%, RVP-23%, ischemic cardiomyopathy-28%, nonischemic cardiomyopathy-63%, LVEF ā¤35% in 80%. Procedure and fluoroscopy duration were 119.5Ā±59.6 and 25.7Ā±18.5 min. LBBAP threshold and R-wave amplitudes were 0.68Ā±[email protected] and 10.4Ā±5mV at implant and remained stable during mean follow-up of 12Ā±10.1 months. LBBAP resulted in significant QRS narrowing from 170Ā±28ms to 139Ā±25ms (p<0.001) with V6 R-wave peak times of 85Ā±17ms. LVEF improved from 29Ā±10% at baseline to 40Ā±12% (p<0.001) during follow-up. The risk for death or HFH was lower in CV lead failure compared to non-responders (HR-0.357;95%CI 0.168-0.756,p=0.007) CONCLUSION: LBBAP is a viable alternative for CRT in patients who failed conventional BVP due to CV lead failure or were non-responders
