Antiphase Stripe Order as the Origin of Electron Pockets Observed in 1/8-Hole-Doped Cuprates
Recent quantum oscillation measurements on underdoped cuprates are shown to
be consistent with the predictions of a mean field theory of the 1/8 magnetic
antiphase stripe order proposed to occur in high- cuprates. In particular,
for intermediate values of the stripe order parameter, the magneto-transport is
found to be dominated by an electron pocket
JURIDICAL REVIEW OF THE FACILITATION OF COMMUNITY PLANTATION DEVELOPMENT BY PLANTATION COMPANIES
The government regulates the facilitation of community plantation development as much as 20% of the area of rights by plantation companies. This provision which is the obligation of the company was still not regulated in a clear and firm legal arrangement so that it created multiple interpretations in its application. Based on this matter, the writer was motivated to analyze the legal arrangements for the facilitation of community plantation development by plantation companies and the obstacles encountered in the implementation. The plantation company which was the focus of the research was PT. Pamor Ganda with Business Right (known as HGU in Indonesia abbreviation) Number 16/1989 by studying the HGU extension document. This was a normative research with a statutory approach. The method of analysis performed was content analysis, then the interpretation was carried out to understand the conclusions. The results showed that legal arrangements in the land sector, Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and plantations had not been able to solve the problems that exist in the implementation of facilitation of community plantation development by plantation companies. The company's obstacle was that the plasma farmers' plantation area around the companies’ plantation area had not been able to meet the 20% area requirement. While PT. Pamor Ganda had fulfilled its obligation to facilitate community plantation development by releasing its 114 hectare of HGU area
Neutron Scattering Study of URuReSi with = 0.10: Driving Order towards Quantum Criticality
We report inelastic neutron scattering measurements in the hidden order state
of URuReSi with = 0.10. We observe that towards the
ferromagnetic quantum critical point induced by the negative chemical pressure
of Re-doping, the gapped incommensurate fluctuations are robust and comparable
in intensity to the parent material. As the Re doping moves the system toward
the quantum critical point, the commensurate spin fluctuations related to
hidden order weaken, display a shortened lifetime and slow down. Halfway to the
quantum critical point, the hidden order phase survives, albeit weakened, in
contrast to its destruction by hydrostatic pressure and by positive chemical

TB122: Comparison of Alpha- and Beta-Carotene Content of Supermarket vs Roadside Stand Produce in Maine
A study was conducted to determine the alpha- and beta-carotene content of supermarket vs roadside stand produce using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The fruits and vegetables were obtained from a major local supermarket chain and three roadside stands in Dixmont, Etna and Charleston, ME. Thirteen vegetables and one fruit were sampled during a ten-week period between July and September of 1985. Significant differences at the 0.05 level were observed between supermarket and roadside stand produce for only Swiss chard and green peppers with roadside stands having higher beta-carotene levels in both instances. Developing the Job Description for Diabetes Nurse Specialists: A Modified Delphi Approach
Background: The first step to establish a new academicmajor is the need assessment and extraction of professional and specialized
tasks.
Objectives: The current study aimed to identify and describe the duties of diabetes nurse specialists.
Methods: This needs assessment study was performed using modified Delphi technique in Isfahan in 2014 - 2015. The study population
consisted of patients with diabetes and their families, nurses, endocrinologists, diabetologists and nursing faculty members.
The study was conducted in three rounds: first, through qualitative interviews and focus group discussions, the duties and tasks of
diabetes nurse specialists were extracted, then a questionnaire was designed and in two consecutive rounds, the experts expressed
their opinions about the tasks.
Results: The first round of modified Delphi technique resulted in 500 initial codes. According to these codes, 164 duties were classified
into seven categories. In the second round of Delphi approach, the experts reached to 100% consensus in 126 tasks. According
to the participants, 74 of the 126 duties were similar, overlapping and inappropriate, and thus were eliminated. In the last round
of the study according to the opinions of the experts, 15 more tasks were added to the previous list. Finally, job description for diabetes
nurse specialist was developed in six tasks on professional responsibilities, 17 tasks on the area of education, 25 tasks regarding
caring and treatment, 6 tasks on society and 13 tasks on management.
Conclusions: This study led to identification and classification of diabetes nurse specialist duties. The findings can help nursing
faculties and other institutes to develop task based educational programs for nurses in diabetes management
Quantum Spin Excitations through the metal-to-insulator crossover in
We use inelastic neutron scattering to study the temperature dependence of
the spin excitations of a detwinned superconducting YBaCuO
( K). In contrast to earlier work on YBaCuO (
K), where the prominent features in the magnetic spectra consist of a sharp
collective magnetic excitation termed ``resonance'' and a large
( meV) superconducting spin gap, we find that the spin
excitations in YBaCuO are gapless and have a much broader
resonance. Our detailed mapping of magnetic scattering along the
/-axis directions at different energies reveals that spin
excitations are unisotropic and consistent with the ``hourglass''-like
dispersion along the -axis direction near the resonance, but they are
isotropic at lower energies. Since a fundamental change in the low-temperature
normal state of YBaCuO when superconductivity is suppressed
takes place at with a metal-to-insulator crossover (MIC), where the
ground state transforms from a metallic to an insulating-like phase, our
results suggest a clear connection between the large change in spin excitations
and the MIC. The resonance therefore is a fundamental feature of metallic
ground state superconductors and a consequence of high- superconductivity.Comment: 9 pages, 7 figures, accepted by Phys. Rev.
The evolution of antiferromagnetic susceptibility to uniaxial pressure in Ba(Fe{1-x}Co{x})2As2
Neutron diffraction measurements are presented measuring the responses of
both magnetic and structural order parameters of parent and lightly Co-doped
Ba(Fe{1-x}Co{x})2As2 under the application of uniaxial pressure. We find that
the uniaxial pressure induces a thermal shift in the onset of antiferromagnetic
order that grows as a percentage of T_N as Co-doping is increased and the
superconducting phase is approached. Additionally, as uniaxial pressure is
increased within parent and lightly-doped Ba(Fe{1-x}Co{x})2As2 on the first
order side of the tricritical point, we observe a decoupling between the onsets
of the orthorhombic structural distortion and antiferromagnetism. Our findings
place needed constraints on models exploring the nematic susceptibility of the
bilayer pnictides in the tetragonal, paramagnetic regime.Comment: 10 pages, 7 figure
