Rapid expansion of telecommunication technology has brought a very big benefit for us. In an aspect of information system security is one aspect that is very important. One mechanism that is done to secure this is by cryptographic techniques with methods of encryption and decryption using the algorithm Rivest Code 6 (RC-6) using Java in Android-Based Smartphone. With the existence of telecommunication technology, many constraints such as distance, location, or time can be overcome. One of the technological results in telecommunication technology is Short Message Service or usually known as SMS. By using an SMS, the subscribers can do some exchange of text messages over each other. In this final assignment, developed an aplication on a cell phone to modify a text into ciphertext so that information from the message is not known by others. For sending an SMS, system encrypts plaintext into ciphertext using a key that is inputed by a sender and then send it to destination number. For receiving an SMS, system decrypt ciphertext into plaintext using a key that is inputed by receiver and then displaying plaintext to receiver. This application can be used by someone who wants to send a secret information to other through an SMS without fear of information from those messages will be known by others. RC6 is one of the most sophisticated cryptographic algorithms and can still be said to be unresolved. The application uses the algorithm Rivest Code 6 (RC-6) with the Java programming language as data encryption method that can be applied to Android-based smartphones. Keywords: Message Security Systems, Algorithm RC-6, Android

Comparison of radiographic scoring systems for assessment of bone healing after tibial plateau leveling osteotomy in dogs

IntroductionAccurate radiographic assessment of bone healing is vital in determining both clinical treatment and for assessing interventions aimed at the promotion of bone healing. Several scoring systems have been used to evaluate osteotomy changes following tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO). The goal of this study was to compare the ability of five radiographic scoring systems to identify changes in bone healing following TPLO over time (Aim I), and to evaluate the influence of limb positioning on TPLO osteotomy scoring (Aim II).Materials and methodsPhase I-A randomized, blinded, prospective study was conducted using similarly positioned postoperative TPLO radiographs from seven dogs taken immediately postoperatively, 6-weeks, and 8-weeks postoperatively. Ten reviewers assessed the radiographs, and five different scoring systems were tested for each set including three previously published ones, a Visual Analog Score (VAS), and a subjective 11-point scale. For each system, responses for 6-week postoperative were compared to 8-week postoperative. Scores were judged as correct (=showing an increase in score), incorrect (=decrease in score), or unchanged (=same score). Phase II-An international group of 39 reviewers was asked to score radiographs from three dogs, taken in different positions, using the VAS grading system. Scores were averaged and comparisons were made for each set.ResultsPhase I-The VAS system identified the greatest number of sets correctly (76%), with the least unchanged scores (15%), and 9% incorrect scores. Phase II-All three patients had an increase in the average difference between VAS-scores for differently positioned radiographs compared to similarly positioned radiographs. The magnitude of change between different positions far exceeded the magnitude of comparison of the similarly positioned radiographs from the 6- and 8-week time point.Discussion/ConclusionThe VAS system appears to be the most appropriate of the tested systems to identify small changes in bone healing. In addition, the positioning of postoperative TPLO radiographs makes a substantial difference in the healing score that is assigned. Care must be undertaken when performing postoperative radiographs in both the clinical and research setting to ensure accurate assessment of bone healing

    Asteroseismology and Interferometry

Asteroseismology provides us with a unique opportunity to improve our understanding of stellar structure and evolution. Recent developments, including the first systematic studies of solar-like pulsators, have boosted the impact of this field of research within Astrophysics and have led to a significant increase in the size of the research community. In the present paper we start by reviewing the basic observational and theoretical properties of classical and solar-like pulsators and present results from some of the most recent and outstanding studies of these stars. We centre our review on those classes of pulsators for which interferometric studies are expected to provide a significant input. We discuss current limitations to asteroseismic studies, including difficulties in mode identification and in the accurate determination of global parameters of pulsating stars, and, after a brief review of those aspects of interferometry that are most relevant in this context, anticipate how interferometric observations may contribute to overcome these limitations. Moreover, we present results of recent pilot studies of pulsating stars involving both asteroseismic and interferometric constraints and look into the future, summarizing ongoing efforts concerning the development of future instruments and satellite missions which are expected to have an impact in this field of research.Comment: Version as published in The Astronomy and Astrophysics Review, Volume 14, Issue 3-4, pp. 217-36

Funding for education in schools often becomes a problem in the world of education. Because of the rapid development of the times, educational needs continue to increase, especially in efforts to improve the quality of education in schools. The purpose of this study is to describe how to manage the extraction of sources of education costs through the role of religious leaders. The method used is a literature review (literature review), namely by reviewing journals or news articles related to research. The analysis model is done by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions/verifying data. The results show that the management concept of exploring sources of educational costs through the role of religious leaders, which focuses on the community charity movement program, has several stages, namely: 1) Planning, starting from coordination meetings, job desc distribution, compiling work programs, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation; 2) Organizing, the division of tasks includes media managers, financial managers, public relations (PR), as well as field coordinators; 3) Implementation, namely building relationships with religious leaders,  religious leaders preach to places of worship or in community activities such as house celebrations, thanksgiving, and others, media managers remind once a month to give alms, financial managers record income money and carry out financial accountability; 4) Supervision, which is carried out directly by the school principal or a person assigned by the school principal; 5) Evaluation, which is carried out directly or indirectly

Introduction : In the world cervical cancer is the second most common malignant tumour among women, as well as the second most common cause of death. Most often this disease develops in women who are between 35 and 59 years old, i.e. at the time when many women raise children and are active professionally. There is a close correlation between the incidence of cervical cancer and lifestyle and the risk factors associated with it. Aim of the research : Evaluation of the influence of knowledge about risk factors for cervical cancer on health-related behaviours of women from the area of the Świętokrzyskie Region. Material and methods: The research material was obtained on the basis of a survey. The study was conducted among 108 randomly selected women in the age range 20 to 60 years. Results: Based on the studies, a significant correlation between the women’s health-related behaviours and their age, level of knowledge, and awareness of belonging to the group at risk of cervical cancer was found. Conclusions: Among the respondents, older women showed more incorrect behaviours than younger women. It was also shown that the place of residence did not have an influence on health behaviour of the surveyed women. Respondents who participated in health education showed greater knowledge about the factors of cervical cancer than women not participating in the education. Women who were aware of belonging to the risk group for cervical cancer more often showed health-related behaviours

Introduction: The problem of cancer is becoming epidemic in the world. Despite many campaigns that promote prophylaxis, the number of women dying of cervical carcinoma is still high. Broadly defined health education aimed at detecting the disease at an early stage should be an important point of the cervical carcinoma prophylaxis program. Aim of the research : To determine the level of awareness of women surveyed in the context of the risk factors and an analysis of health behaviours. Material and methods: The study was conducted among 108 randomly selected women living in Świętokrzyskie province. The women were between the ages of 20 and 60 years. Results : The study showed that the respondents were able to read properly the causes of the risk of cervical carcinoma, but only about 30% went to a gynaecologist for prophylactic measures. Thirty percent of the respondents had cytology regularly done. Only 8% of the women in the studied group accepted an invitation to screening examinations. The majority of the surveyed women knew the risk factors for cervical carcinoma but they did not translate their knowledge into health behaviours. Most of the respondents did not have regular cytological examinations done. The majority of the surveyed women did not have screening examinations done. Conclusions : Therefore, it is necessary to multiply efforts within the actions preventing cervical carcinoma, and promote a healthy lifestyle and pro-health education
