    Indonesian Version of DREEM Short Form Construct Validity Test in Measuring Student Perception of Distance Learning Environment

    English: The learning environment is very important to support student achievement. During the COVID-19 pandemic until the new normal transition, students are faced with a changing learning environment, starting from online, hybrid, to full offline. Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM) is an instrument that measures students' perceptions of their learning environment in medical institutions developed by Roff, et.al. (1997). DREEM initially consist of 50-item to measure five domains, it was later developed into a 12-item short version by Jeyashree, Shewade, and Kathrivel (2018). There is no adapted version of DREEM short-form for non-medical institutions in Indonesia. Therefore, this study aims to adapt and validate the DREEM short-form measurement tool for a wider range of institutions. The population of this instrument testing are students in Indonesia with a sample of 160 people. The results show that the instrument has good internal consistency (α= 0.896), able to distinguish individuals in groups based on discrimination items, and valid in measuring constructs (Model Fit CFI = 0.922; GFI = 0.901; SRMR = 0.055, and have a good factor loading). Thus, Indonesian version of DREEM short-form is a valid and reliable tool for use in research in the field of education in a wider range of institutions.Indonesian: Lingkungan pembelajaran sangatlah penting untuk mendukung prestasi mahasiswa. Pada masa pandemi COVID-19 hingga transisi new normal, mahasiswa dihadapkan dengan lingkungan pembelajaran yang berubah-ubah, dimulai dari daring, hybrid, hingga full luring. Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM) merupakan instrumen yang mengukur persepsi mahasiswa terhadap lingkungan pembelajarannya dalam institusi medis yang dikembangkan oleh Roff, et.al. (1997). Awalnya DREEM berjumlah 50-item untuk mengukur lima domain, kemudian dikembangkan dalam versi singkat (short-form) 12-item oleh Jeyashree, Shewade, dan Kathrivel (2018). Selama ini belum ada alat ukur dalam Bahasa Indonesia untuk DREEM short version 12-item untuk institusi di luar medis. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat adaptasi dan validasi alat ukur DREEM Short-Form 12-item untuk institusi yang lebih luas. Populasi dari pengujian alat ukur ini adalah mahasiswa di Indonesia dengan sampel sebanyak 160 orang. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa alat ukur yang telah diadaptasi memiliki konsistensi internal yang baik (reliabilitas α= 0.896), mampu membedakan individu dalam kelompok berdasarkan item discrimination, dan valid dalam mengukur konstruk (Model Fit CFI = 0,922; GFI = 0,901; SRMR = 0,055, dan memiliki muatan faktor yang baik). Dengan begitu, DREEM-12 Bahasa Indonesia merupakan alat ukur yang valid dan reliabel untuk digunakan dalam penelitian di bidang pendidikan pada setting yang lebih luas

    Uji Reliabilitas dan Validitas Skala Karakter Baik (SKB) untuk Siswa SMA/Sederajat Di Indonesia

    Good character is a congruence of thought, feelings and behaviors that are in accordance with principles of morality. Since 2016 Indonesian education system attempts to develop good character in students using principles for encouraging character education (PPK, Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter). The principles of PPK are based on Pancasila, Indonesia national ideology. These five principles are religiosity, nationalism, independence, cooperation, and integrity. Currently, there are no instrument for measuring good character in accordance with the principle of PPK. This study aims to develop a reliable and valid measuring tool for good character that can be used for measuring good character in Indonesian high school students. In the development of this measurement, this study tests the reliability with discriminatory item analysis using SPSS v.21. Construct validity was measured using confirmatory factor analysis with JASP emulation MPlus, from which group norm was formed with average of 10 and standard deviation of 3. The subjects of this study are 728 Indonesian high school students. The result of this study show that the instrument can be deemed reliable with Cronbach alpha of 0.892. This instrument also shows model fit p-value of 0.000, SRMRS of 0.078 and GFI of 0.957, which can be interpreted as a reliable in term of measurement.Karakter baik (good character) merupakan bentuk keselarasan dari pemikiran, perasaan, dan tingkah laku yang sesuai moral dan diharapkan dimiliki oleh setiap pribadi. Sejak tahun 2016, Indonesia telah berupaya untuk membentuk karakter baik bagi setiap anak bangsa dengan menerapkankan nilai-nilai Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) yang bersumber dari Pancasila di dalam dunia pendidikan. Lima nilai prioritas PPK adalah religius, nasionalis, mandiri, gotong royong, dan integritas, Namun demikian, sampai saat ini belum ditemukan pengukuran karakter yang baik dengan kontekstualisasi kelima nilai PPK tersebut. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mengembangkan alat ukur karakter baik yang reliabel, valid sehingga dapat digunakan untuk menggambarkan karakter yang baik bagi siswa/i SMA/sederajat di Indonesia. Pada pengembangan alat ukur ini, peneliti menguji reliabilitas dan melakukan analisis diskriminasi item menggunakan SPSS Versi 21, validitas konstruk melalui confirmatory factor analysis menggunakan JASP emulation MPlus, dan menyusun norma kelompok menggunakan skor standar dengan skor rata-rata = 10 dan deviasi standar = 3. Populasi dari pengujian alat ukur ini adalah siswa/i SMA sederajat di Indonesia dengan sebanyak 728 sampel. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa alat ukur Skala Karakter Baik adalah alat ukur yang reliabel (Cronbach alpha = 0,892) dan valid (Model Fit RMSEA p-value=0,000, SRMS=0,078, GFI=0,957)

    Volunteering: A Study of Psychological Attribute Related to Indonesian Emerging Adult Volunteer Motivation

    Numerous problems in Indonesia, ranging from poverty to natural disasters, require that all parties participate in solving the problems. For this reason, volunteering can be the human resource that helps to solve these problems. This idea is also supported by data showing that younger Indonesians also like to volunteer. This study aimed to determine the relationship between volunteer motivation dimensions with psychological attributes, such as personality traits, happiness, interpersonal trust, narcissistic personality, self-efficacy, purpose in life, and psychological distress on volunteers aged 18–29 years old (emerging adults). The motivation to volunteer was the main variable and had six dimensions, namely values, social, career, knowledge, understanding, and enhancement motives. This correlational study had 1712 respondents. All the measuring instruments were already adapted to Bahasa Indonesia. The results showed all the variables of psychological attributes have a significant relationship with one or more motivations to volunteer.Keywords Volunteering motivation, Happiness, Purpose of life, Personality, Emerging adult
