    Implementation of an Inquiry Model Assisted with PHET and Teaching Aids to Improve Vocational Students' Learning Outcomes in The Sound Waves Concept

    Physics learning still tends to be conventional and very rarely takes place using practicum media, so students become less enthusiast. This is contrary with students in vocational schools who tend to learn through practice. This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry model assisted with PhET media and teaching aids in physics learning outcomes of class X students of SMKN 3 Technology and Engineering Jayapura on the sound waves concept. This study used the pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design, the research sample was selected from two (control and experimental class) of nine classes through a purposive sampling technique with 25 students each group. The study used pretest and posttest essay questions which were validated by experts. The pretest and posttest data were then tested for normality and the results were normal, then N-gain analysis and hypothesis testing α = 5% significance value were performed. The results of the N-gain analysis obtained were 0.70 where the average value of the posttest>pretest ranged from moderate to high for the experimental class while the N-gain was 0.57 where the average posttest>pretest ranged from low to moderate for the experimental of class control. The results of the hypothesis test were found (tcount < ttable) = (0,000 < 0,05) where H0 was rejected, so that there was an improvement in learning outcomes and there were differences in learning outcomes before and after learning with treatment in experimental class. The success of this treatment can be seen from the enthusiasm of the students who are involved independently in operating the PhET application on computer media and visual aids during learning. This learning pattern can be applied by readers/teachers in researchers but also in the development of teacher learning towards students' understanding of physics concepts

    This research is research and development with the aim to find out how to develop integrated science learning modules based on scientific literacy in the material pressure of eighth grade Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Dakwah Wa'Irsyad (DDI) students in Jayapura. The number of samples in this study 25 with descriptive descriptive data analysis techniques to determine the feasibility of the module. The results showed that: (1) Module development with the stages of information gathering, planning, development, validation and testing; (2) The feasibility of the prepared learning module, based on the validator of the material obtained an average of 90% with a feasible category, the validator of the media obtained an average of 91% with a feasible category, while the results of the responses of students with an average of 77.76% with quite interesting categories, (3) There is an increase in the learning outcomes of students in class VIII by learning to use an integrated science module material pressure based on scientific literacy with n-Gain RPP-1 values of 0.61, RPP-2 of 0.71, RPP-3 of 0.91, RPP-4 of 0.71, RPP-5 is 0.80, and n-gain is on average 0.80 with high categor

    IDENTIFIKASI MISKONSEPSI HUKUM NEWTON PADA MAHASISWA CALON GURU FISIKA UNIVERSITAS CENDERAWASIH TAHUN AKADEMIK 2017/2018

    A research has been carried out on the identification of Newton's Law misconceptions in FKIP UNCEN physics education students. This study aims to describe the extent of students' misconceptions on the subject of Newton's Law. This study uses a qualitative method with a diagnostic test design that is equipped with a Certainty of Response Index (CRI) model and interviews. The data source was chosen by purposive sampling. In this study, the data source was physics semester VI FKIP UNCEN students. The focus of this research is (1) identifying misconceptions that occur in physics education students at Cenderawasih University on the topic of Newton's Law. (2) describe the percentage of misconceptions of physics education students at Cenderawasih University on the topic of Newton's Law. The results showed that 35.7% of students experienced misconceptions. Students who experienced misconceptions in Newton's First Law concept were (46.7%), in Newton's Second Law concept (33.3%), and in Newton's third Law concepts (20.0%). From the results of the interview it can be concluded that the main source of the cause of the misconception comes from the students themselves.Keywords: Misconception, Newton's Law, CRI

    PENGARUH MODEL PBL BERBASIS METODE EKSPERIMEN TERHADAP PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA POKOK BAHASAN USAHA DAN ENERGI

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah diterapkan model PBL berbasis metode eksperimen pada pokok bahasan usaha dan energi dan hubungan model PBL berbasis metode eksperimen terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pokok bahasan usaha dan energi. (3) mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbasis metode eksperimen terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pokok bahasan usaha dan energi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan metode penelitian pre-experimental design, dan desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttest. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X MIA SMA YPPK Teruna Bakti Jayapura yang berjumlah 134 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling dengan cara purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh sampel peserta didik kelas X MIA 4 berjumlah 34 peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 instrumen yaitu instrumen tes dan instrumen non tes. Hasil penelitian dan pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai N-Gain rata-rata sebesar 0,80 dengan kategori tinggi. (2) terdapat hubungan antara variabel X terhadap variabel Y yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi < 0,05 yaitu sebesar 0,000 yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. (3) terdapat pengaruh antara variabel X terhadap variabel Y yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi < 0,05  yaitu sebesar 0,000 yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima

    This study aims to find out how to make an integrated science module, develop an integrated science module,  and improve science process skills by using an integrated science module based on inquiry learning on food additives. Research Methods Research and Development. The research sample was conducted in class VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Sentani with a total of 32 students. The results showed that: 1) How to make a module through seven stages, namely module needs analysis, module design, implementation, assessment, evaluation, validation and quality assurance of the module, using four module components, namely the opening, introduction, learning and evaluation. 2) The development of an integrated science module based on inquiry learning on food additives material through the arrangement of stages of making modules for the use of the school environment Very feasible category to be used as teaching material and 3) Assessment of students' science process skills in RPP 1 to RPP 3 learning produces an average percentage of 69.75% with the skilled category

    THE INFLUENCE OF STUDENTS LEARNING STYLE AND LEARNING INTEREST ON THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF PHYSICS CLASS X IPA DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

    This study aims to determine whether there are: 1) the influence of learning styles on physics learning outcomes, 2) the influence of interest in learning on physics learning outcomes, 3) the influence of learning styles and interest in learning together on physics learning outcomes in class X SMA Negeri 1 Nimboran . This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Nimboran in April - May 2021. The subjects in this study were all 52 students of class X majoring in science and the objects of research were learning styles, interest in learning and physics learning outcomes. The instruments used are questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Pearson correlation test with a significance level of 0.05 and a regression test which resulted in conclusions as a result of the study. The results showed that, 1) there was a significant influence of learning style on physics learning outcomes with a contribution of 50.8%, 2) there was a significant influence of interest in learning on physics learning outcomes with a contribution of 60.9%, 3) there were significant influence of learning style and interest in learning, together on the learning outcomes of physics with a contribution of 64.3% influenc

    The purpose of this study are to describe the understanding of prospective teachers on the concepts of heat, work, and thermodynamic process and the difficulties they face in learning the concepts of thermodynamics. This research was conducted using qualitative method. Data were collected using a diagnostic test and interview. The subjects were students of physics education, University of Cendrawasih who had attended the lectures of thermodynamics, as many as 39 people. The results of this study indicate that student teachers do not understand the concept of heat, work, and thermodynamic process well. Students can analyze the problem and solve the majority of them (30%). The settlement issue is not based on prior knowledge that already exists. Students have difficulty distinguishing the work done by the system or the environment. Students also have difficulty understanding the process in a diagram or change it in a different diagram

    PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR MENGGUNAKAN PAKEM DENGAN METODE DISKUSI PADA PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA DASAR POKOK BAHASAN MEKANIKA

    Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan latar belakang hasil belajar mahasiswa semester I angkatan 2013 program studi pendidikan fisika pada pembelajaran fisika dasar pokok bahasan mekanika masih sangat rendah. Hal ini ditunjukkan sekitar 26,09% mahasiswa yang sudah mencapai nilai ketuntasan, yaitu nilai 60. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah melalui Pembelajaran PAKEM dengan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan aktivitas mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran serta hasil belajar mahasiswa pada materi mekanika. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa semester I angkatan 2013 program studi pendidikan fisika dengan jumlah mahasiswa 23 orang. Penelitian dilakukan selama 4 bulan yaitu dari bulan Agustus sampai dengan November 2013. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi dan angket untuk analisis data kualitatif, serta tes penilaian kognitif mahasiswa sebagai analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari siklus I berdasarkan persentase 47,83% mahasiswa tuntas belajar, 52,17% mahasiswa tidak tuntas belajar. Pada siklus II ketuntasan belajar meningkat menjadi 82,61% mahasiswa tuntas belajar, dan 17,39% mahasiswa tidak tuntas belajar. Hasil observasi aktivitas mahasiswa  pada siklus I diperoleh berdasarkan persentase 31,25% mahasiswa kategori  kurang aktif, 43,18% mahasiswa kategori cukup aktif, dan 25,57% mahasiswa kategori aktif. Pada siklus II aktivitas mahasiswa meningkat menjadi 14,21% mahasiswa kategori kurang aktif, 40,34% mahasiswa kategori cukup aktif, dan 45,08% mahasiswa kategori aktif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan melalui Pembelajaran PAKEM dengan metode diskusi terbukti dapat meningkatkan aktivitas mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran dan meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada materi mekanika.
