[ES] El sistema VEMOTION, desarrollado por Reactive Robotics GmbH, consiste en un sistema robótico de rehabilitación de pacientes con problemas de movilidad. El objetivo principal de este estudio es capturar los datos de movimiento del humano para desarrollar un modelo cinemático basado únicamente en la información de los sensores del dispositivo robótico, utilizando un enfoque basado en redes neuronales convolucionales.[EN] The VEMOTION system, developed by Reactive Robotics GmbH, consists of a robotic system-based rehabilitation of patients with mobility impairments. What degree of social responsibility concerns to the media in facing up events of extraordinary dimensions as natural disasters or conflicts of all kinds? This article aims to analyze and determinate the quantum of social responsibility concerned to the mass media in the coverage of those kinds of acts and facts whose scale gives them a character of universal significance, and, of course, its consequences. That is, the social responsibility of journalism that involves not only objective information about what happened, but also offer a matching perspective of the set of ideas, values and beliefs that make up a particular society at a given time.¿Qué grado de responsabilidad social le corresponde a los medios de comunicación al afrontar sucesos de extraordinaria dimensión como son las catástrofes, así como conflictos de toda índole? El presente artículo pretende determinar el grado de responsabilidad social que corresponde a las actividades de patrocinio deportivo o esponsorización, es decir, el grado de asunción de responsabilidad que con su conducta asumen las organizaciones que realizan actividades de esta índole, de innegable naturaleza publicitaria y elevada rentabilidad económica, por otra parte. Para ello, se parte del concepto de responsabilidad social corporativa, que después de fundamentarse desde una reflexión teorética lógico- formal, se vincula y aplica al campo del patrocinio deportivo como instrumento de comunicación.This article aims to determine the degree of Social Responsibility that concerns to the activities of sports sponsorship, that is, the degree of responsibility assumption related to the organizations by conducting such activities. A kind of assumptions that have an undeniably advertising nature and, on the other side, a high economical profitability. Diseño de un sistema de gestión de inventario para optimizar el manejo de las sustancias y residuos químicos de los Laboratorios del Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica

teaching work, they have various interactions with the environment. Among the most
important are those associated with the handling of chemicals and their wastes, due to the various risks for to humans and the environment. Moreover, in the last two years the
Institution spent an average of ninety thousand dollars in the purchase of chemicals, which
in turn implies a monetary impact on the institution.
The organizing and tracking of these substances, is the first step for an optimal control of
the mentioned problems; however, a diagnosis made at the laboratories of the institution
(2009), showed that they do not have a technological application to solve the problem, this
has imply several specific operational and environmental problems, such as the
accumulation of hazardous wastes.
The fundamentals of Environmental Engineering are aimed primarily at providing scientific
and technological solutions in the field of prevention of environmental problems. For that
reason, an online Inventory Management System was designed and validated using modern
technologies, also compatible with the platform of the Institution, integrating staff involved
in all stages of development, promoting teamwork and encouraging acceptance of the
system.
The implementation and validation of the project allowed us to have a unified inventory
system for all involved in the issue, which guarantees the security of information and
efficient access. This system meets the requirements set by future users, improving the
efficiency of their work, while allowing them to comply with environmental legislation
associated. This allows the Institute to fulfill their responsibilities with the country, besides
the institutional legal framework. At the end of the development process, training was
provided to 15 prospective users of the system, increasing its sensitivity to the problems
described, as well as its relations with the Institutional Regency of Chemicals, the future
