Infinitesimal bending of a subspace of a space with non-symmetric basic tensor
summary:In this work infinitesimal bending of a subspace of a generalized Riemannian space (with non-symmetric basic tensor) are studied. Based on non-sym\-metry of the connection, it is possible to define four kinds of covariant derivative of a tensor. We have obtained derivation formulas of the infinitesimal bending field and integrability conditions of these formulas (equations)
Infinitesimal bending of curves on the ruled surfaces
In this paper we study infinitesimal bending of curves that lie on the ruled surfaces in Euclidean 3-dimensional space. We obtain an infinitesimal bending field under whose effect all bent curves remain on the same ruled surface as the initial curve. Specially, we consider infinitesimal bending of the curves which belong to the cylinder as well as to the hyperbolic paraboloid and find corresponding infinitesimal bending fields. We examine the variation of the curvature of a curve under infinitesimal bending on the hyperbolic paraboloid. Some examples are visualized using program packet Mathematica
Equitorsion holomorphically projective mappings of generalized KƤhlerian space of the first kind
summary:In this paper we define generalized KƤhlerian spaces of the first kind given by (2.1)--(2.3). For them we consider hollomorphically projective mappings with invariant complex structure. Also, we consider equitorsion geodesic mapping between these two spaces ( and ) and for them we find invariant geometric objects
Opportunities and Challenges of Qualitative Research in the Field of Mental Health
Qualitative research shows great potential within the field of mental health. Mental health topics as such are extremely complex and multifactorial and require the involvement of mixed methods which include qualitative and quantitative methodology. The specificity of the qualitative methodology lies in the ability to include service users in the process of development of interventions in the field of mental health. By using a qualitative methodology, we ensure that the questions we ask the individuals represent important issues for them. In this paper we will present some of the possibilities of using qualitative research in the field of mental health, such as application of research in the development and testing of the theory, development of methods based on the specificity of the research area, development and testing of interventions and implementation of interventions in clinical practice. We will also present the challenges faced by qualitative researchers dealing with mental health issues such as issues related to maintaining boundaries, developing relationships, developing friendship, reflexivity, emotions, and abandoning the role. Due to all the above-mentioned
challenges, it is necessary to develop universal protocols and strategies to ensure that all those involved in qualitative mental health research have equal information on possible risks, available help resources and guidance resources, and guidelines for particular challenging situations while conducting the research
Approaching the socialist factory and its workforce: considerations from fieldwork in (former) Yugoslavia
The socialist factory, as the āincubatorā of the new socialist (wo)man, is a productive entry point for the study of socialist modernization and its contradictions. By outlining some theoretical and methodological insights gathered through field-research in factories in former Yugoslavia, we seek to connect the state of labour history in the Balkans to recent breakthroughs made by labour historians of other socialist countries. The first part of this article sketches some of the specificities of the Yugoslav self-managed factory and its heterogeneous workforce. It presents the ambiguous relationship between workers and the factory and demonstrates the variety of life trajectories for workers in Yugoslav state-socialism (from model communists to alienated workers). The second part engages with the available sources for conducting research inside and outside the factory advocating an approach which combines factory and local archives, print media and oral history
RIGIDITY OF TOROID FORMED BY REVOLUTION OF PARALLELOGRAM
One of the main tasks of the deformation theory is to point out to the rigid and flexible surfaces. In this paper we signify a torus like class of surfaces generated by parallelogram in E3. It is proved that this class is rigid due to infinitesimal bending. Infinitesimal bending of generated surfaces is considered using Cohn-Vossenās method.
