Bosonic Reduction of Susy Generalized Harry Dym Equation
In this paper we construct the two component supersymmetric generalized Harry
Dym equation which is integrable and study various properties of this model in
the bosonic limit. In particular, in the bosonic limit we obtain a new
integrable system which, under a hodograph transformation, reduces to a coupled
three component system. We show how the Hamiltonian structure transforms under
a hodograph transformation and study the properties of the model under a
further reduction to a two component system. We find a third Hamiltonian
structure for this system (which has been shown earlier to be a bi-Hamiltonian
system) making this a genuinely tri-Hamiltonian system. The connection of this
system to the modified dispersive water wave equation is clarified. We also
study various properties in the dispersionless limit of our model.Comment: 21 page
Hydrangea-Like CuS with Irreversible Amorphization Transition for High-Performance Sodium-Ion Storage
Metal sulfides have been intensively investigated for efficient sodium‐ion storage due to their high capacity. However, the mechanisms behind the reaction pathways and phase transformation are still unclear. Moreover, the effects of designed nanostructure on the electrochemical behaviors are rarely reported. Herein, a hydrangea‐like CuS microsphere is prepared via a facile synthetic method and displays significantly enhanced rate and cycle performance. Unlike the traditional intercalation and conversion reactions, an irreversible amorphization process is evidenced and elucidated with the help of in situ high‐resolution synchrotron radiation diffraction analyses, and transmission electron microscopy. The oriented (006) crystal plane growth of the primary CuS nanosheets provide more channels and adsorption sites for Na ions intercalation and the resultant low overpotential is beneficial for the amorphous Cu‐S cluster, which is consistent with the density functional theory calculation. This study can offer new insights into the correlation between the atomic‐scale phase transformation and macro‐scale nanostructure design and open a new principle for the electrode materials\u27 design
Human Infection with Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza A(H7N9) Virus, China
The recent increase in zoonotic avian influenza A(H7N9) disease in China is a cause of public health concern. Most of the A(H7N9) viruses previously reported have been of low pathogenicity. We report the fatal case of a patient in China who was infected with an A(H7N9) virus having a polybasic amino acid sequence at its hemagglutinin cleavage site (PEVPKRKRTAR/GL), a sequence suggestive of high pathogenicity in birds. Its neuraminidase also had R292K, an amino acid change known to be associated with neuraminidase inhibitor resistance. Both of these molecular features might have contributed to the patient's adverse clinical outcome. The patient had a history of exposure to sick and dying poultry, and his close contacts had no evidence of A(H7N9) disease, suggesting human-to-human transmission did not occur. Enhanced surveillance is needed to determine whether this highly pathogenic avian influenza A(H7N9) virus will continue to spread.published_or_final_versio
Superconductivity at 53.5 K in GdFeAsO1-delta
Here we report the fabrication and superconductivity of the iron-based
arsenic-oxide GdFeAsO1-delta compound with oxygen-deficiency, which has an
onset resistivity transition temperature at 53.5 K. This material has a same
crystal structure as the newly discovered high-Tc ReFeAsO1-delta family (Re =
rare earth metal) and a further reduced crystal lattice, while the Tc starts to
decrease compared with the SmFeAsO1-delta system

A fit to the production and decay angular distributions yields

signal with statistical significance and is consistent with
