Opportunities and Challenges: The Spread of Marxism in Contemporary China

    Get PDF
To promote the spread of Marxism is a long-term mission of the Communist Party of China, who has achieved the improvement both on the depth and width of spread of Marxism, expanded distribution channels, achieved a high degree of public recognition, but also faces challenges like the weakening of demonstration effect of propagation, correlation between content of dissemination and audience is not prominent, communication channels interfered by the “noise”, spread object is lack of self-awareness, and urgent needing to improve the dissemination effect. This requires to deeply analyze the reasons for the formation of the challenges, strengthen demonstration effect of party cadres’ “unity of sincere and behavior”, promote Marxism theory into concrete policies and institutions, create a Marxism network communication platform with sound regulatory mechanisms, enrich ordinary people’s material and culture life, and thus enhance the attractiveness, influence and vitality of Marxism

Experience and Reflection on the Popularization of Marxism Seventeen Years After the Founding of China

    Get PDF
Seventeen years after the founding of China, the Communist Party of China has gained rich experience of combining Marxism popularization with the central work of the party and the country, comprehensively covering various groups while highlighting the important objects, struggling with a variety of anti-Marxist ideology, and encouraging party cadres extensively launch theory publicity during the spread of Marxism. These experiences provide an important warning for promoting contemporary Chinese Marxism popularization: thought of the ruling class is possible to achieve and must achieve popularity, promoting the popularization of Marxism is the party’s long-term historical mission, which consolidate the position of the mainstream ideology of Marxism in the struggle, and fully play its role of advocacy and demonstration to pure the party cadres

Algorithm of Abnormal Audio Recognition Based on Improved MFCC

    Get PDF
AbstractCharacteristics extraction has a great effect on the audio training and recognition in the audio recognition system. MFCC algorithm is a typical characteristics extraction method with stable performance and high recognition rate. For the situation that MFCC has a large amount of computation, an improved algorithm MFCC_E is introduced. The computation of MFCC_E is reduced by 50% compared with the standard algorithm MFCC, and it make the hardware implementation is easy. The experimental result indicated that MFCC_E and MFCC have the same recognition rate roughly, yet the computational complexity of MFCC_E is much smaller

Osthole represses growth of multiple myeloma cells by regulating PI3K/AKT and ERK pathways

Purpose: To identify the effects of osthole on the growth of multiple myeloma cells and determine the probable molecular mechanism of action. Methods: 3-(4, 5-Dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2, 5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was used to measure multiple myeloma cell viability. Flow cytometry was used for the evaluation of cell cycle and apoptosis. For protein expression measurement, western blot analysis was employed. Results: The results show that osthole dose- and time-dependently suppressed the viability of multiple myeloma cells (p < 0.01). Osthole also dose-dependently initiated multiple myeloma cell cycle arrest in G0/G1 phase (p < 0.05) and induced multiple myeloma cell apoptosis (p < 0.01). Moreover, western blotting revealed a significant reduction in cyclin D1 (p < 0.01) and induction in p21, cleaved caspase 3 and cleaved poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (p < 0.01). Furthermore, osthole treatment significantly downregulated the phosphorylation levels of protein kinase B (AKTT308), AKTS473, and extracellular regulated protein kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2). Conclusion: These findings demonstrated that osthole inhibited viability and induced cell cycle arrest and apoptosis of multiple myeloma cells by regulating PI3K/AKT and ERK pathways. Osthole may be considered as a potential anticancer agent for the therapy of multiple myeloma

Exploration on Moral Status and Construction of Contemporary College Students

    Get PDF
College students are specific groups with higher moral qualities and cultural knowledge among youth in China.Their moral status and its trends relate to whether they can grow to be qualified builders and reliable successors of the construction of socialism. Research show that the moral mainstream of contemporary college students is positive, but there are a series of issues concerning social morality,  e.g., professional ethics, family virtues and morality on internet, which closely related to the real environment they live and its population characteristics. Actively strengthen the moral construction of college students can make them grow healthily and become talents smoothly

A Comprehensive Empirical Study of Bugs in Open-Source Federated Learning Frameworks

Federated learning (FL) is a distributed machine learning (ML) paradigm, allowing multiple clients to collaboratively train shared machine learning (ML) models without exposing clients' data privacy. It has gained substantial popularity in recent years, especially since the enforcement of data protection laws and regulations in many countries. To foster the application of FL, a variety of FL frameworks have been proposed, allowing non-experts to easily train ML models. As a result, understanding bugs in FL frameworks is critical for facilitating the development of better FL frameworks and potentially encouraging the development of bug detection, localization and repair tools. Thus, we conduct the first empirical study to comprehensively collect, taxonomize, and characterize bugs in FL frameworks. Specifically, we manually collect and classify 1,119 bugs from all the 676 closed issues and 514 merged pull requests in 17 popular and representative open-source FL frameworks on GitHub. We propose a classification of those bugs into 12 bug symptoms, 12 root causes, and 18 fix patterns. We also study their correlations and distributions on 23 functionalities. We identify nine major findings from our study, discuss their implications and future research directions based on our findings
