    Controllability of nonlinear fractional delay dynamical systems with prescribed controls

    In this paper, we consider controllability of nonlinear fractional delay dynamical systems with prescribed controls. We firstly give the solution representation of the fractional delay dynamical systems using Laplace transform and Mittag–Leffler functions. Then we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the controllability criteria of linear fractional delay dynamical systems with prescribed controls. Further, we use a fixed point theorem to establish the sufficient condition for the controllability of nonlinear fractional delay dynamical systems with prescribed controls. In particular, we determine several sufficient conditions on the nonlinear function term so that if the linear system is controllable, then the nonlinear system is controllable. Finally, we give two examples to demonstrate the applicability of our obtained results

    Secondary cutaneous Epstein-Barr virus-associated diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in a patient with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma: a case report and review of literature

    Only a few cases of extranodal Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-associated B-cell lymphomas arising from patients with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) have been described. We report a case of AITL of which secondary cutaneous EBV-associated diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) developed after the initial diagnosis of AITL. A 65-year-old Chinese male patient was diagnosed as AITL based on typical histological and immunohistochemical characteristics in biopsy of the enlarged right inguinal lymph nodes. The patient initially received 6 cycles of chemotherapy with CHOP regimen (cyclophosphamide, vincristine, adriamycin, prednisone), but his symptoms did not disappear. Nineteen months after initial diagnosis of AITL, the patient was hospitalized again because of multiple plaques and nodules on the skin. The skin biopsy was performed, but this time the tumor was composed of large, polymorphous population of lymphocytes with CD20 and CD79a positive on immunohistochemical staining. The tumor cells were strong positive for EBER by in situ hybridization. The findings of skin biopsy were compatible with EBV-associated DLBCL. CHOP-R chemotherapy (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone and rituximab) was then administered, resulting in partial response of the disease with pancytopenia and suppression of cellular immunity. To our knowledge, this is the first case of cutaneous EBV-associated DLBCL originated from AITL in Chinese pepole. We suggest the patients with AITL should perform lymph node and skin biopsies regularly in the course of the disease to detect the progression of secondary lymphomas

    Yeast high mobility group protein HMO1 stabilizes chromatin and is evicted during repair of DNA double strand breaks

    © The Author(s) 2015. DNA is packaged into condensed chromatin fibers by association with histones and architectural proteins such as high mobility group (HMGB) proteins. However, this DNA packaging reduces accessibility of enzymes that act on DNA, such as proteins that process DNA after double strand breaks (DSBs). Chromatin remodeling overcomes this barrier. We show here that the Saccharomyces cerevisiae HMGB protein HMO1 stabilizes chromatin as evidenced by faster chromatin remodeling in its absence. HMO1 was evicted along with core histones during repair of DSBs, and chromatin remodeling events such as histone H2A phosphorylation and H3 eviction were faster in absence of HMO1. The facilitated chromatin remodeling in turn correlated with more efficient DNA resection and recruitment of repair proteins; for example, inward translocation of the DNA-end-binding protein Ku was faster in absence of HMO1. This chromatin stabilization requires the lysine-rich C-terminal extension of HMO1 as truncation of the HMO1 C-terminal tail phenocopies hmo1deletion. Since this is reminiscent of the need for the basic C-terminal domain of mammalian histone H1 in chromatin compaction, we speculate that HMO1 promotes chromatin stability by DNA bending and compaction imposed by its lysine-rich domain and that it must be evicted along with core histones for efficient DSB repair

    A spectral line survey of IRC +10216 between 13.3 and 18.5 GHz

    A spectral line survey of IRC +10216 between 13.3 and 18.5 GHz is carried out using the Shanghai Tian Ma 65 m Radio Telescope (TMRT-65m) with a sensitivity of < 7 mK. Thirty-five spectral lines of 12 different molecules and radicals are detected in total. Except for SiS, the detected molecules are all carbon-chain molecules, including HC3N, HC5N, HC7N, HC9N, C6H, C6H-, C8H, SiC2, SiC4, c-C3H2 and l-C5H. The presence of rich carbon-bearing molecules is consistent with the identity of IRC +10216 as a carbon-rich AGB star. The excitation temperatures and column densities of the observed species are derived by assuming a local thermodynamic equilibrium and homogeneous conditions.Comment: This is the authors' version of the manuscript; 16 pages, 5 figures, 6 tables; Accepted for publication in A&A 8/17/201

    Delayed Feedback Control on a Class of Generalized Gyroscope Systems under Parametric Excitation

    AbstractThe nonlinear dynamics of the parametrically excited vibrations of a class of generalized gyroscope systems under delayed feedback control is investigated by the averaging method and simulations in this paper. The influence of feedback control on the stability of the trivial solution and the amplitude of the periodic vibrations is presented based on Routh-Hurwitz criterion and the Levenberg-Marquardt method respectively. It is shown that the stability of the trivial solution can be varied when feedback control and time delay are employed. The amplitudes of periodic solutions can also be modulated greatly by feedback gain and time delay. However, the influence of time delay on amplitudes is periodic. The simulations obtained by numerically integrating the original system are in good agreement with the analytical results
