The gas leakage dynamic flow in nanoporous silica aerogel under different pressure

Due to the ultrafine pore size, the flow in the silica aerogel is non-continuum. The direct simulation Monte Carlo method is selected to simulate the transient behavior of gas dynamic flow in nanoporous silica aerogel caused by pressure difference. The influences of pressure ratio and porosity on the unsteady dynamic response and the magnitude of the macroscopic parameters are investigated. The results show that the response processes under different pressure ratio and porosity conditions are similar. The effect of the pressure ratio and porosity are mainly reflected on the magnitude of the macro parameters and response time

Three-dimensional multi-level heat transfer model of silica aerogel

The heat conduction is analyzed for both the secondary particle model and the cluster model. The expression of effective thermal conductivity of a multi-level model is derived. The theoretical predictions from the proposed multi-level model are compared with three sets of experimental data with different densities and porosities. The results from the proposed model show good agreement with the experimental data
Two maternal origins of Chinese domestic light-body type goose
China is particularly rich in goose genetic resources. The systemic study of genetic diversity and origin of Chinese indigenous geese will provide important scientific basis for the conservation, utilization of resources and human history. The 521 bp control region (D-loop) of mitochondrial DNA from 13 lightbody type breeds was sequenced. The results showed that in the D-loop region of the 13 gray goose breeds, the content of T, C, A and G nucleotides was 23.8, 29.0, 32.2 and 15.1%, respectively. The average haplotype diversity (Hd) and nucleotide diversity (Pi) of domestic geese were 0.2153 and 0.00046, respectively. The 13 light-body type breeds had bigger nucleotide variance value among populations than the value within populations and all the breeds did not exist population expansion.Shared haplotype analysis and systemic systematic evolution analysis revealed that Chinese lightbody type domestic goose owned two maternal origins. YL goose breed originated from greylag goose (anser anser), and the other 12 light- body type goose breeds originated from swan goose (anser cygnoides)

Myeloid sarcoma with ulnar nerve entrapment: A case report
BACKGROUND: Myeloid sarcoma (MS) is relatively rare, occurring mainly in the skin and lymph nodes, and MS invasion of the ulnar nerve is particularly unusual. The main aim of this article is to present a case of MS invading the brachial plexus, causing ulnar nerve entrapment syndrome, and to further clinical understanding of the possibility of MS invasion of peripheral nerves. CASE SUMMARY: We present the case of a 46-year-old man with a 13-year history of well-treated acute nonlymphocytic leukaemia who was admitted to the hospital after presenting with numbness and pain in his left little finger. The initial diagnosis was considered a simple case of nerve entrapment disease, with magnetic resonance imaging showing slightly abnormal left brachial plexus nerve alignment with local thickening, entrapment, and high signal on compression lipid images. Due to the severity of the ulnar nerve compression, we surgically investigated and cleared the entrapment and nerve tissue hyperplasia; however, subsequent pathological biopsy results revealed evidence of MS. The patient had significant relief from his neurological symptoms, with no postoperative complications, and was referred to the haemato-oncology department for further consultation about the primary disease. This is the first report of safe treatment of ulnar nerve entrapment from MS. It is intended to inform hand surgeons that nerve entrapment may be associated with extramedullary MS, as a rare presenting feature of the disease. CONCLUSION: MS invasion of the brachial plexus and surrounding tissues of the upper arm, resulting in ulnar nerve entrapment and degeneration with significant neurological pain and numbness in the little finger, is uncommon. Surgical treatment significantly relieved the patientās nerve entrapment symptoms and prevented further neurological impairment. This case is reported to highlight the rare presenting features of MS

Kinetic frustration and the nature of the magnetic and paramagnetic states in iron pnictides and iron chalcogenides
The iron pnictide and chalcogenide compounds are a subject of intensive
investigations due to their high temperature superconductivity.\cite{a-LaFeAsO}
They all share the same structure, but there is significant variation in their
physical properties, such as magnetic ordered moments, effective masses,
superconducting gaps and T. Many theoretical techniques have been applied
to individual compounds but no consistent description of the trends is
available \cite{np-review}. We carry out a comparative theoretical study of a
large number of iron-based compounds in both their magnetic and paramagnetic
states. We show that the nature of both states is well described by our method
and the trends in all the calculated physical properties such as the ordered
moments, effective masses and Fermi surfaces are in good agreement with
experiments across the compounds. The variation of these properties can be
traced to variations in the key structural parameters, rather than changes in
the screening of the Coulomb interactions. Our results provide a natural
explanation of the strongly Fermi surface dependent superconducting gaps
observed in experiments\cite{Ding}. We propose a specific optimization of the

Synchronous primary intrapulmonary and mediastinal thymoma-A case report
We report an extremely rare case of Synchronous primary intrapulmonary and mediastinal thymoma in a Chinese patient. We describe the histological and radiological findings, which support the possibility of multicentric thymoma. Resection of the mass in the left anterior superior mediastinum and upper lobectomy of right lung were performed, with lymph Nodes clearance, superior vena cava, left and right brachiocephalic veins resection, reconstruction of left brachiocephalic vein to right auricle and reconstruction of right brachiocephalic vein to superior vena cava
