Paper presented to the 10th International Conference on Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Florida, 14-16 July 2014.Induction heating is the most effective heating method for thermocyclic tests and investigations of turbine blades and parts with a thermal barrier ceramic coatings. A new method is proposed for high-frequency induction heating of turbine blades and parts of gas turbine engines with thermal barrier ceramic coatings. The proposed method has been developed taking into account the electrophysical and thermophysical properties of materials in thermal cycling tests. There have been carried out thermophysical measurements, obtained the results of investigations of the nonstationary thermal state of the turbine blades and parts GTE with coatings using a thermal vision system for thermocyclic tests with thermal management. Also there have been carried investigations of the thermal state of the fan blade with the use of a thermal vision system and blade releasing method with thermal management for fan casing containment tests.cf201

The article demonstrates the relevance of applying a psycho-economic approach to the research into the nature of entrepreneurship and to the search for adaptive regulation ways in this principal sphere of human activity. A number of social, psychological, politico-legal and economic factors affecting entrepreneurship incorporated within this approach, should be the core of the corresponding governmental polic

Modelling of heating modes of rotating disks using induction heating

Paper presented to the 10th International Conference on Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Florida, 14-16 July 2014.The disks of compressors and turbines of aviation gas turbine engines (GTE) under operating conditions are influenced significant mechanical and thermal loadings. Therefore the modelling of high-speed heating modes and thermostress state of rotating disks and rotors has the importance for increasing the operating time of GTE parts at non-stationary modes. The isothermal and thermal cycle tests of turbine disks with modelling of operational thermal and mechanical loadings are carried out on spin rigs with using induction heating. The methods of thermal cycle tests are developed for modelling of operational high-speed modes of heating GTE disks to reproduce cyclic thermal loading. Authors investigated the dependence of the extra power of internal heat sources in rotating disks versus frequencies of rotation between 10000-70000 r.p.m. in alternating electro-magnetic field. For this purpose the mathematical models are developed for calculation of power characteristics of induction heating system, developed new inductor designs and models of heating modes of rotating disks. The new design of flat inductors allows to raise accuracy of modelling and thermal control of the temperature fields in GTE turbine disks.cf201

Multistability at arbitrary low optical intensities in a metallo-dielectric layered structure

We show that a nonlinear metallo-dielectric layered slab of subwavelength thickness and very small average dielectric permittivity displays optical multistable behavior at arbitrary low optical intensities. This is due to the fact that, in the presence of the small linear permittivity, one of the multiple electromagnetic slab states exists no matter how small is the transmitted optical intensity. We prove that multiple states at ultra-low optical intensities can be reached only by simultaneously operating on the incident optical intensity and incidence angle. By performing full wave simulations, we prove that the predicted phenomenology is feasible and very robust.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure

Estimation of recreational potential of urban forests

The aim of this study was to evaluate two typical recreational forests in Russia and Sweden in terms of their potential for recreation. The study of Russian and Scandinavian literature was carried out as a background for the analyses of the obtained results. With these analyses the possible trends, weaknesses and strengths of the both recreational forests as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the selected method were planned to be studied. 292 forest stands covering 256.3 ha of the national park "Losiny Ostrov" (Russia) and 101 forest stands covering 198.5 ha of the Torup forest (Sweden) were investigated by the study. The selected method examines recreational forest from its attraction and comfort for visitors and tolerance (stability) to anthropogenic influence. The outcome of the estimation is based on integral assessment of these three categories, which express the recreational potential as Class of Recreational Value (CRV). The lowest results are registered among indices of stability category. It confirmed the study hypothesis about determinative function of these indices and stability category as a whole in estimation of recreational potential of forests. In about 90% of the stands in the both surveyed areas, restrictions and limits for precise recreation utilization and sustainable development in the future were recommended due to the low stability/high sensitivity of the forests. The main differences between the results from the two areas were found with regards to the attraction and comfort categories owing to social specific and traditions in forest management of the countries. The analysis showed that the method mainly corresponds with many statements of other studies in the subject. Generally the method considered as quite objective and reliable one. Nevertheless the study found it recommendable to rewrite or modify some weak points of the method but only with respect to tradition and specific of country or forest type. For the both case areas accurate forest management has to be well balanced between recreation and other forest uses. One of the main decisions should be increase the amount of, and qualities related to mature stands. This definitely could increase first of all aesthetic values of the areas

The role of supply managers in driving corporate performance is changing, with an increased emphasis on supply market intelligence, collaboration, inter-organizational partnerships, and operational integration with supply partners. The article presents possible approaches to the study of entrepreneurial supply chain activity manifestation and the development of entrepreneurship in general. In the framework of entrepreneurship supply chain development trend study, there is the need to analyze the state of various systems of society activity: political, social, and economic. On the basis of specific historical examples and statistical data summarized by the authors, they present the examples of entrepreneurial supply chain activity development in a changing system
