Knowledge Management and Total Quality Management Impact on Employee Effectiveness in Emerging Industries: Case of Tunisian Small and Medium Enterprises
Employee effectiveness is highly important for all economic activities. Several factors
can affect its degree, either positively or negatively. In this vein, this work aims to examine the
impact of knowledge management and total quality management on employee effectiveness in the
industry of emerging countries. For that, Tunisian small and medium enterprises were taken as
an example. The proposed methodology consists first of providing a research model linking the
correlation between knowledge management elements, total quality management practices, and
employee effectiveness. Then, a survey was designed and broadcast to more than 3000 Tunisian small
and medium enterprises. Hence, 206 responses were collected from several industrial fields, and
collected data analysis was achieved by SPSS software. For testing research hypotheses, multiple
regression analysis, factor analysis, and structural equation modeling were employed. The finding
points out that total quality management and knowledge management have a positive impact on
staff effectiveness. This impact is highlighted through the roles of knowledge management elements
and total quality management practices on human resources behavior and their ability enhancement.
Consequently, a significant increase in productivity can be seen in the operational processes of the
company. This work is one of the first studies to research total quality management and knowledge
management impact on staff effectiveness in Tunisian small and medium enterprises. Besides, it
reflects the maturity and the awareness of respondent companies’ managers to the practice of these
concepts in emerging economies.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
The objective of this thesis is to investigate KM and TQM impact on staff effectiveness and SC performance through a survey of Tunisian companies. Thus, 206 responses were collected and analyzed using “SPSS V24” software. The analysis of this questionnaire allowed to identify a conceptual model and to realize an analysis using the Structural Equation Method with the software “AMOS V24”. The obtained results show that TQM and KM have a positive impact on staff effectiveness. Similarly, KM and staff effectiveness have a positive impact on SC performance. However, TQM has no direct impact on SC performance, but there is an indirect one via its impact on staff effectiveness. In addition, and through the application of a non-linear mathematical model "LINGO version 18.0", it has been found that the most important strategies for maximizing supply chain performance and staff effectiveness with a budget of 25 Tunisian Dinars are the following strategies: leadership, human resource management, knowledge acquisition, knowledge creation, knowledge application, knowledge sharing / transfer, knowledge capitalization.

Towards modeling the supply chain's performance evaluation criteria
International audienceThe problem of supply chain performance is a major factor that companies have to consider for increasing its competitiveness in a market in continuous evolution. In this framework, we suggest in this paper, in first place, to identify the role and the importance of performance criteria in the achievement of the company performance. In second place, we formalize a UML class model to clarify the relationship between the supply chain, its performances criteria and their indicators. Thereafter, we present the study of the various performance criteria's junction using an interaction grid
Evaluating And Measuring Knowledge Management's Impact On Supply Chain Performance Using HOQ
International audienceSupply Chain Performance (SCP) depends on several factors additionally its length and the yield of its members. However, manage a Supply Chain (SC) means well managing knowledge as sharing them between actors involved in this process. Knowledge Management (KM) has, of appearance, a direct impact on SCP, but its formalization remains always ambiguous. In this context, this paper aims to determining the KM impact on the SCP through highlighting the relation between KM Elements (KME) and SCP Evaluation Criteria (SCPEC). Our approach consists, in the beginning, to position the knowledge concept in the SC through a conceptual model that identifies the KM impact on SCP based on mutual relations. Afterward, we adopt the House Of Quality (HOQ) to evaluate and measure the impact of each KME on whole SCPEC, similarly, the impact of whole KME on each SCPEC. An implementation example is proposed in the end
International audienceKnowledge management, also known as organizational learning, organizational memory and management expertise, has a strong relationship with Total Quality Management TQM. This relation of complementarity and support allows company performance improvement whatever its size or its strategy. Indeed, this article aims at clarifying the notions of KM and TQM; however, we try to identify the integration between these two concepts and finally propose a conceptual model that illustrates their impact to achieve company performance.
