    [ES] Sin lugar a duda, L’Unité de Marseille es una de las obras fundamentales de la arquitectura de la vivienda del siglo XX. Es uno de los momentos culminantes de la recherche patiente de Le Corbusier que tuvo en el hogar, la casa y la vivienda, “esperanza de la civilización maquinista” uno de sus objetivos principales. En un texto poco conocido, “Declaración de principios sobre los deberes de la arquitectura moderna”, (1952) escribió: “el deber que deben cumplir los arquitectos es, precisamente, poner en primer lugar la vivienda”. Y a ella dedicó la mayor parte de su vida.Radiada el 13 de Enero de 1950[FR] L’Unité de Marseille est sans aucun doute l’une des œuvres fondamentales de l’architecture résidentielle du 20e siècle. C’est l’un des moments clés de la recherche patiente de Le Corbusier, dont certains des principaux objectifs étaient la maison, l’habitation et le logement, “l’espoir de la civilisation machiniste”. Dans un texte peu connu, “Déclaration de principes sur les devoirs de l’architecture moderne” (1952), il écrit : “le devoir des architectes est précisément de mettre le logement au premier plan”.     Essa produção reúne um relato do teto-jardim experimentado na cobertura de um edifício na cidade de Paris durante uma onda de calor de 1940 que de modo surpreende para Le Corbusier, após meses de abandono programado, desenvolvia-se plenamente. O teto-jardim foi um dos cinco pontos da Nova Arquitetura pesquisado pelo arquiteto e lançado em 1936 na revista francesa L’esprit nouveau, tendo como objetivo recuperar o solo ocupado pelo edifício construído, deslocando-o para a cobertura da construção sob a forma de um jardim. Juntamente com os pressupostos de planta livre, fachada livre, pilotis e janelas em fita, tais demandas arquitetônicas foram absorvidas no que ficaram conhecidos como elementos característicos para a arquitetura moderna ocidental. Na reportagem, Le Corbusier relata de modo apaixonante os processos de vida que a natureza autonomamente engendra, bem como prescreve brevemente a implementação do teto-jardim como recurso propositivo para novas relações entre arquitetura, usuário e natureza.     Color combination criteria in Le Corbusier's Purist architecture based on Salubra claviers from 1931

Appl., which has been published in final form at http://doi.org/10.1002/col.21940[EN] We have carried out a new study of the color combinations selected by Le Corbusier in les claviers de couleurs for the Salubra wallpaper company in 1931, by analyzing them in the Natural Color System, which allows us to understand the perceptive variables of colors (hue, blackness, and chromaticness) as well as their combination criteria. Regarding the perceptive variables, we have discussed the selected hue ranges in relation to other color proposals of Le Corbusier himself, and we have shown the extensive presence of earthy hues, or the noteworthy absence of other colors such as yellows, violets, black, and white. We have also analyzed the chromaticness of colors, which is generally low, and the blackness, also very limited. In relation to the combination criteria, we aim to find out the underlying order in the color combinations by studying the similarities and contrasts of their perceptive variables. We demonstrate graphically, by a navigable three-dimensional model, and with statistical support, some principles in Le Corbusier's color preferences, such as the combination of colors with equal chromaticness, the search of some contrast in blackness, or the usual resource of contrasting cool with warm colors, something slightly different to the contrast of complementary colors. We have also discussed other compositional criteria held by Le Corbusier to use color in his Purist architecture, which are related to the position and proportion of the surfaces to be colored, the connotations associated to different hues, or the use of plain colors, among others. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
